Doctor Who: The Zygon Invasion (2015)
do not listen to the people hating on this episode
This episode is truly great, it has an amazing vibe and style to it with the Zygons like a terrorist organisation, it seems like a very real episode. UNIT is back again and for once they are used in a good way, the doctor and Clara are together again, but aren't as they hardly have any screen time which is a shame as this has happened in the witch's familiar, before the flood and the woman who lived. But this episode has a thriller style to it which is very different to the past few weeks as we get to see Peter Capaldi series 8 style (without so much Matt Smith style jokes and traits like previous episodes). To conclude, there are some flaws like predictability and not much screen time between characters but this episode succeeds in giving us a story which is a very good thriller with great characters and villains with a very suspenseful story 9/10 (and the reason why people are hating on this episode is because simple nit picky things and also because some other episodes haven't been so good so they are hating on this one too)
Doctor Who: The Magician's Apprentice (2015)
contains major spoilers of this amazing episode!!!!!!
now doctor who is back and with a bang, wait not a bang but an explosion, this episode is so good bringing back big characters like Davros, the (planet) Karn women, Missy etc. the story has been portrayed so greatly and the episode leaves you with your mouth open a lot of the time. it creates a brilliant atmosphere and feel to series 9, mashing Moffat, a sort of Russel T Davies feel and classic who together. the episode includes sensational scenes with the Daleks, Davros and the doctor & Clara and Missy. this episode is great and i think the episode is better than last series opener deep breath and is one amazing episode but stay tuned for part 2- the witch's familiar.
Doctor Who: Doomsday (2006)
The finale is called Doomsday and the episode itself is one
To start off I am a massive fan of doctor who, of new and old who, but this episode for me just doesn't work. Even as a child i didn't like the episode (or really the both 2 parts of the finale).
So the Daleks battle against the cybermen showing very cool scenes of drama and action, and how 4 daleks can win against thousands of cybermen. but other than the villains and the occasional good scene maybe with the people from parallel earth or a good doctor scene the episode is for one slightly boring in parts with some acting a bit off. but the worst part is the relationship between Rose and the doctor!!!
The doctor is a timelord, a mighty race and then there is Rose a whining cockney, some times arrogant girl. They have been building up on their relationship all series and now they kick it in... TOO MUCH! As well as making everyone emotions kick in presides mine (i just found it all ridiculous). Why should the doctor care so much about rose, shes not exactly a Sarah Jane or an Ace. You may say "they have a romantic interest in each other" then i say "he shouldn't" and as Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker once said in a documentary interview type thing, that "The doctor shouldn't be messing around and having a love interest with earth girls" *cough* and he is 903 *cough* and if you were to keep saying its just love then i would face palm.
To conclude this episode is meh, it has great action scenes and some good drama but then there is just the whole relationship rubbish that gives it a 5/10.
But i do like series 2, well the first half of it XD
The Black Adder (1982)
A weird but good start to the first season
So to start off this isn't the first time I've seen a blackadder episode, I have seen 2 from blackadder goes forth and also the unaired pilot. So I do know how the formula works
The episode is rather weird with characters like blackadder are the opposite personality like the ones portrayed in other seasons and is acted in a goofy geeky type of way instead of sarcastic, more payed out versions. The season is based in around the Tudor times: the battle of bosworth to be precise. There a lot of gags and jokes but not many rememberable ones. But to make this review short I'll finish by saying that it was an odd way too start the series with some character who are not the greatest yet but there are a lot of gags with a good storyline to support it and also due to the fact it's the first ever blackadder episode 7/10
