Airlift (2016)
10/10
Charm To Eyes, Warmth To Heart & Invoking Patriotism in Blood, Airlift is a GEM which should not be missed...!!!
25 January 2016
What A Film! Recently Bollywood has produced some top notch films. This film is one of them. This is not to be missed at any cost. Not only acting, but screenplay, dialogues, scenes, action, drama... There is everything in this film. Everything is excellent.

Akshay Kumar (Ranjit Katyal) is a businessman who only care is about his family and money. When the Iraq Army starts to invade Kuwait, he finds himself and his family in trouble. While getting his family into safety, he finds other people have no option but to look up to him. Now he has to save them all.

Akshay Kumar as Ranjit Katyal has played flawless role. His wife (Nimrat Kaur) is supportive. Nimrat has a good acting skill. Purab Kohli is good with his supportive role in film. Kumud Mishra has a good government employee role and he has played it excellent. Others are good too.

The film has a tight screenplay. We think this evacuation was simple as we read it in the papers or on wikipedia but the director has researched all about it and presented in a brilliant way. Each problems they faced was worst and worst and the director has shown it in a brilliant way. This is what makes the film so special.

The reasons this film should not be missed is:

1) The main reason is the history which (i am amazed) 60% of indians don't know (Especially the younger generation). These are the heroes of India.

2) The efforts director made to show this history to Indian Cinema and the rest of the world.

3) Brilliant Acting. Flawless Screenplay. Very Good War Scenes. On-The-Point Dialogues. And most of all... Patriotism!

Jai Hind!

Hating Bollywood for no reason and saying Hollywood is great doesn't make your life look extraordinary awesome... So please Stop!!!
16 August 2015
First of all I saw Warrior and it is great. I can see a lot of drama making people saying Hollywood is greater than Bollywood. But you know what, they have big budgets, developed technology and have discovered so much in Film Industry. Bollywood has nothing like that. So please think about it and stop comparing.

Coming to this film, I so think that this is a good effort by Karan Malhotra remaking Hollywood to show Bollywood "Gawar" fans (Hollywood Lovers Think So...).

>Akshay Kumar as David delivered best as 3rd film after Baby and Gabbar Is Back. He is doing awesome movies these days. His Training & Martial-Arts scenes are absolute breathtaking. Khiladi at his best. >Siddharth Malhotra as Monty is awesome. Just one thing kept dissing me is that he doesn't have a body like Tom Hardy has in Warrior but still manages to defeat by punching them once. You cannot digest this thing. >Jacquline as Jenny is supportive + a good wife and mother. >Jackie has done a good work too.

There are some emotional scenes in the first part but the second just races towards end with a good plot scene. So if you haven't watched Warrior, this is the best thing you'll see. And if you have watched, better ask Hollywood attention diggers what to do!!!

Varun & Shraddha like never before... Prabhudeva will impress you!
18 June 2015
The film begins on a Shimit Amin note, nosedives headlong into the Step Up theme, pulls off a Dil Toh Pagal Hai mid-way and ends with a dance- piece that is the film's best shot at absolution. What is infuriating, is that it wastes 154 minutes of your life in serving a rather insipid concoction of gorgeously orchestrated dances, an unexplored romance and oodles of unnecessary melodrama.

Taking the conventional and rather convenient route out, the film is the story of Suresh (Varun Dhawan) who is accused of plagiarizing a dance item, blemishing his Padmashri-winning dancer-mother's name (who you must note, died with her ghungroos on – a line that harps on her devotion towards dance). Ridicule follows in the most hilarious forms possible. People deny paying for pizzas just because their delivery boy was the part of a dance group that 'cheated' on a dance show. We will prefer to spare you the lamer details. Suddenly, a dance wizard – Vishnu Sir (with ulterior motives)- enters their lives and their world changes for better. Things fall in place with buttery smoothness. A group of dancers who earn their living doing menial jobs land the money to buy a ticket to Vegas and what follows is predictably mawkish.

Acting: Varun Dhavan and Shraddha Kapoor's dancing techniques are just outstanding. Prabhudeva is absolute master raging! He just makes you see with your mouth wide open while dancing!

Script: Good. You should not expect so much from a bollywood sequel but this sequel will prove you wrong.

Choreography: Do i need to tell this? Absolute Outstanding!

In All: ABCD 2 will impresses you as a sequel!

The real QUEEN is here and is even better with this one !
21 May 2015
After a stormy romance, Tanu (Kangana) married Manu (Madhavan) four years ago. But in London, the sparks between them die. Separating sourly, Tanu returns to her hometown, lighting Kanpur up with her wild-child Bohemian ways while Manu mopes in Delhi until he meets Haryanvi athlete Kusum (Kangana) - who resembles the woman he once loved. Will Manu and Kusum find romance - despite Tanu returning to Manu's life? Tanu Weds Manu Returns boasts one of the finest double roles ever in Hindi cinema. Kangana is breathtakingly good, both as doll-like drama queen Tanu and simple, dignified, earthy Kusum, whose wide-eyed honesty, flat, sporty figure and large, dusty teeth contrast sharply with Tanu's peachy prettiness, her dressy appeal, her petulant rosebud mouth, her vain, glittering fragility. Each role is performed with sensitivity, precision and flair, Kangana displaying the confidence of a talent Queen. Alongside, Madhavan does a fine job as quiet, often morose, sometimes hopeful Manu - his shyly searching look at Kusum, wearing ear-rings he's gifted her, is lovely. Deepak Dobriyal smashes it as Manu's chatty buddy Pappi. Deepak carries off superb lines with breezy perfection, scolding his confused friend with, "Are you Salman Khan Jo commitment nahin choroge?", mumbling and grumbling through a sparkling performance.

The plot's racily pacey. Packing in eccentric characters, hilarious scenes - Manu's mother has a whole monologue, nagging - and emotions that tug at your heart while tickling you pink, crisp editing and deeply authentic visuals keep surprising. The music glows while gemstone-like scenes evoke crazy romance, crushing heartbreak - and delightful new crushes. But the real draw of Tanu Weds Manu Returns is that you get two Kangana Ranauts to entertain you, and she delivers in a huge way.

Last Words - Watch it once for Kangana Ranaut. This is the film that will prove why she is called Queen of Bollywood!

Bombay Velvet (2015)

Tried hard making a classy movie, ended up standing beside Roy!
14 May 2015
The film, that's set in the era of 1949, welcomes the audiences with a track by Raveena Tandon Thadani (special appearance). On the other hand, while a young Balraj (Ranbir Kapoor) is busy taking his baby steps in this man-eat-man world, he also spends his time in the red light district nursing frustrations of seeing his mother getting slapped and abused. Youth throws him in the boxing ring of free-for-all fighting to earn some ready cash. He then comes across Chiman (Satyadeep Misra), who not just becomes his partner in crime, but also his friend for life. As they march ahead in life, they, gradually land up becoming the henchmen for Kaizad Khambata (Karan Johar), editor of the tabloid 'Torrent' and also a top wheeler-dealer. Impressed with his dare devil attitude, Kaizad appoints Balraj to manage his club named 'Bombay Velvet'. In addition to this, Kaizad also entrusts him with the task of wiping out the 'Communist's opposition to this 'Capitalist' plan. But he meets with a roadblock called Jimmy Mistry (Manish Chaudhury), editor of pro-labour class tabloid 'Glitz'. It is then, that the beautiful jazz singer Rosie (Anushka Sharma) is sent as a honey trap to lure Balraj by Jimmy. But the duo consummate their passionate romance and become inseparable. The henchman wants to have his share of the pie in the new money-order and that's when the drama turns bloody and what-happens-after. Meanwhile, Kaizad tries to adopt the policy of divide and rule between Balraj and Chiman. Does Rosie become successful in her role of a honey trap, does Kaizad become successful in separating the Balraj-Chiman duo and what ultimately happens to 'Bombay Velvet'... is what forms the rest of the story.

Pros - Film is visually stunning. The music and special effects are outstanding. One liners are outstanding and to be apllauded.

Cons - No matter how glamour or class you show in movies, it should have a script, screenplay and a climax which is important! BV's climax is just as awful as Roy. I was and always will be proud of Anurag K's films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Queen. I was proud to say that i'm his fan but this film has turned it down.

Last Words: *If you want to see for Ranbir, please go because his acting is outstanding. The way he delivers his role and dialogue - 5/5 stars! *If you are Anurag Kashyap fan and want to continue to have faith in him, go at your risk or please avoid!

Need more of movies like this!
30 April 2015
Akshay Kumar is making so much sensible movies nowadays. Holiday, Baby and now "Gabbar Is Back" with a bang. This is a story of Aditya/Gabbar (Akshay Kumar), a lawyer's assistant and the hero's romantic interest Shruti (Shruti Haasan), a lowly but ambitious constable Sadhuram (Sunil Grover), a swaggering CBI officer Kuldeep Pahwa (Jaideep Ahlawat) and a villainous real estate tycoon Digvijay Patil (Suman Talwar).

In era of HNY, KICK like nonsensical movies, we have some of these gems. Watch it definitely 1 time watch!
