This true story is a fascinating one and worthwhile reliving again.
The lead actor was very good as "The Captain " though there were some "cabaret " moments in the movie
Not as good as I thought it would be, but still worth a watch
But it's a decent enough Rom Com, though a lot of that thought process was down to the beautiful location of Singapore
Acting wise Gemma Chan was the best. But the film mostly reminded me of an Asian version of "The Wedding Singer "
A reminder yet again how much we owe these heroes. The film was visually impressive and you felt part of the scenery
Like most follow up movies it's not good as the original, but as always the real joy comes from the music of ABBA and it was nice to hear some of their not so well known songs. Acting wise Lily James was very good
Got to say though their music was pretty good. As for the movie it appears to be a all warts and no filter description of the bands journey together
Some of it is a bit distasteful, but a lot of it is how you would expect a young rock and roll band to behave when they reach the top
Eddie Marsan is brilliant as John May, with lovely support from the always watchable Joanne Froggatt
Shame this film is rarely shown on terrestrial television, as it's as relevant today as it was when first shown in 2013
Keeps you guessing till the end, on the presumption you have concentrated on the plot.
Amy Adams as per usual for me is captivating and holds the film together beautifully
Though about the pain and confusion of a young person "coming out" it's mainly a movie about love and understanding
Decent performance by Nick Robinson in the lead role, well supported by Katherine Langford who was good.
So a pleasant surprise to say that I enjoyed this movie, where Burt basically played himself
Cleverly done and a grand supporting role by young Ariel Winter who is going to be a big star
Most movies about the Kennedys usually are about the President,so this take on his younger brother was intriguing
Jason Clarke was very good as Ted and also Ed Helms normally known best for comedy gave a good performance as Gargan.
