Mogheiyate Mehdi (2022)
Despite many details, there is no story to tell
The beginning of the movie is very good and the audience gets well into the story. Many details have been paid attention to in Mehdi's character, but I think that the biggest problem of the movie is its script. Which has no ups and downs.
Love scenes, humorous parts, and even mourning the loss of a brother are not well processed.
The actor plays his role well, the atmosphere of the film has the potential to say something, express its core meaning, everyone is ready, but it is the script that is empty.
I really liked the use of Turkish dialect and the music of the film. Also the lighting and decor were well.
Marde Bazande (2022)
A loser hero for a loser society
The film represents the current atmosphere of Iranian society. It is different, and should not be compared with previous criminal or heroic police movies of Iranian cinema.
However, it would have been better if the puzzles were resolved or continued as complex as they started. But, unfortunately, ambiguity and confusion have replaced the complexity and mystery in the story!
In addition, I think the connection between the end credits music and the movie is well established.
Javad Ezzati's acting is good and he has tried his best, although in some parts, his youth is clear from his face or the way he talks.
Jaddeh Khaki (2021)
When comedy breaks your heart into pieces
(I believe that this movie is very Iranian and may confuse or tire foreign viewers, for example, why is the cheating of that cyclist interesting? Or what is the story of Lake Urmia, which has become a barren desert, etc.)
But for me, as an Iranian, that is exactly the reason I watch movies.
The challenge of "laughing to hide the sadness" does not leave not only the characters of the movie, but also the audience for a moment.
This movie is far away from Iranian cliché and every moment of it is surprising while is simple as well. The acting is brilliant, even the young actor.
The depth of the story is felt by those who have been involved in the migration phenomenon. Those who once only saw the beauty of their homeland and kissed its soil with love.
However, I think the movie should have ended in the night sky scene; Or at least in the foggy morning scene.
Good but not till the end
The movie is well made, and Mohsen Tanabandeh's acting is good. But one negative point for the unrealistic and customized dialogue between the mullah and the killer at the end of the movie.
Khorshid Nime Shab (2020)
It makes you laugh because of its meaninglessness
From today, I want to take my phone and make my first movie with its camera; I'm sure it will be better than this movie.
I better not call this a "movie", otherwise it will be called the worst Iranian movie.
It could be better and better
The idea is good, but not properly processed; especially the ending. All in all, it's an average movie for getting entertained in the cinema-nothing more.
I admire the role of uncle Assad played by Behrang Alavi.
Mr Vali (2016)
A different image of an addict
The relationship between Mr. Vali and his wife is one of the brilliant features of the film. The filmmaker has managed to close to this relationship very well. The image presented by Mrs. Azam is powerful, different and new.
Murphy's Law: Ghanoone Morfi (2019)
It is surprising in its own way
A comedy needs to surprise the audience to make them laugh, and this movie is successful. Amir Jadidi's acting and dialogues are excellent.
However, some parts of story are weak and make no sense. It's not suitable for all types of audiences, some people may not enjoy it's sense of humour.
Rooze Sefr (2020)
Why aren't the simplest details considered in Iranian films?
The film is well-made, but one negative score for not paying attention to the simplest facts; For example, the plane carrying Rigi was stopped in the middle of the night actually, not during the day!
Is that a movie?
Personally, I did not like it. It was very boring and I could not see it for more than 20 minutes. The more I tried to find something to follow, the more I got lost.
Gasht-e ershad 3 (2021)
No story included
The story gets weaker every time a new version released, but one pluse point for Amir Jafari. I suggest watching his acting and the members of his group.
Sirvan ruined her professional career
Contrary to its name, it is very unprofessional! Welcome back to the catastrophic era in which singers act and actors sing!
Maybe only some of his teenage fans follow this series.
Like the Shahrzad series, you are supposed to get excited about watching a dreamy love in the first episode, and in the next episodes, all your feelings and moods will be kicked out. Do not waste your time.
Teheran Tabu (2017)
It could be better
With all the clever and beautiful aspects of the movie, there are still basic details that are not observed and it is because the makers do not live in Iran.
Chloë Grace Moretz is the strong point
I think the ending could be better. There are some weak points and unanswered questions in the story.
But the movie's atmosphere is very attractive. You can feel love, motherhood, and fear.
One plus point for Mortez. Her act was so different and impressive.
No suitable actors to play as a couple
Do you know that Milad Keymaram is 13 years older than Tarlan Parvaneh? This huge age gap is becoming common in Iranian movies, while it makes movie unrealistic.
Shena-ye Parvaneh (2020)
Rise against bullying
Like any other Iranian movies in recent years, a mixture of knives, blood, cops, corridors of justice, and tears; however the plays are good and the ending is well executed.
One negative score because of its repetitive storyline.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
A trash CGI movie full of super heros with poor story that might be enjoyable for toddlers and kids.
It's the same as previous ones, don't waste time and money.
Iranians are becoming angrier day by day
The idea about guilty conscience and aggressive behaviour among Iranians is pure and brilliant. But the story is not well processed and some dialogues are inexperienced, however, main actors played well.
There are also two minor problems:
- someone who played as the taxi driver's son wasn't a professional actor, and his low-level perform affected the whole movie and other actors' work value (in a negative way).
- I don't know why some directors don't care about the huge and surprising age gap between the actors who must act as a couple. For example, it is obvious and can be seen easily that Babak is far older than Parastoo so they are like father and daughter, not husband and wife!
The Frog (2020)
There is no story
During the film, you just ask yourself again and again "Is there any discernible point to this story, a point that it will be arriving at sometime in the near future?"
One plus point for music (5+1)
Seven and a Half (2019)
Another movie that says there isn't any good man in Iran
Such thinking is corrupt and rotten. For anyone who still wants to make a movie against men, I suggest just walking in the current society, opening eyes, seeing the new generation of men and women.
Zakhm Kari (2021)
Javad Ezati is brilliant
It's like other Iranian series of recent years. Some rich families plus blood.
But the point is that, this time, exceptionally, money doesn't bring happiness.
The details in the story is well-processed and of course the director is well aware about the details.
One plus point for Javad Ezati act.
Sale dovom daneshkadeh man (2019)
a new subject but not well acted
The story contains new things about friendship and studying circumstances in Iran. But the negative point is that the movie is full of actors who are not enough skilled; including the the main actress, Mahtab, to others such as the University professor who plays for just a few seconds in classroom.
In addition, it is expected from a professional director, Sadrameli, to care about basic details. For example, when Ali and Mahtab are coming back to Tehran, the sceneries that are being seen from the car windows separately, are not belong the same location.
Also it is obvious that the main actors have a huge age gap that is not suitable for friendship. For example Mansur is far older than Mahtab; and such friendship between an old man and a teenager is not happen often in society.
Unlike many persian movies, the story of this movie is very strong. It is written with many details and aspects. And of course, all the actors play perfect.
an average movie
I like the idea. It's about the youngsters who were born through the 1360s in Iran; while in addition, we encounter with the story of the next generation, Tala. The only remaining gold for those who miss out the opportunity of a good life.
However there are some issues in the story. For example, they go inside the store and take a look (for the first time) after renting it! Also Darya tells Leyla that she will be responsible for the money; but after that, Leyla ask Mansur to pay it back...
