Ummm.... What the hell was that?
The first half of the movie is relatively decent, then it does a 180. The plot gets absolutely ridiculous and nonsensical, gratuitous gore(and poorly done at that), and Dan Stevens overacting becomes too much to handle.
No clue how they could take 2.5hrs to tell a story and still leave the viewer baffled amd confused.
Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017)
The movie is equally as bad as the name
Reading the title of the movie was a red flag, but I overlooked it because of the positive ratings and the relatively well done trailer. I regret my decision, this movie is bad from start to finish the story line is basic and lackluster and appears to have been written by someone with little to no knowledge of the criminal world, the dialogue feels as though it was written by a 14 year old boy, lastly no freaking clue why they wrote Vaughn as having superhuman strength (rips the hood right off a car and snaps limbs with his bare hands). My girlfriend and I watched in awe, almost captivated by how bad this movie is. Fighting sequences were really poorly done and the effects were horrible.
Unless you're a mouth breather who enjoys wrestling, Jerry Springer and finds VanDam movies realistic and well scripted, avoid this at all costs.
An Klondike (2015)
Worth watching, 1st season is a bit rough but the 2nd makes up for it
In the first season the story was told in a pretty messy/sloppy way... It's not so sloppy that it's confusing or hard to follow, it's just a bit amateurish. The directing was adequate, not great though. There are four languages spoken in the show, which is actually pretty slick and lends an aithentic feel tothe show. On Netflix Canada all the non-English parts are dubbed, not subtitled... Except the aboriginal parts, they aren't dubbed or subbed, but they're very few.
Where this ahow really earned my 7 star rating was season two... All the kinks were ironed out and they did a hell of a job.
Season 1 definitely isn't painful to watch, but it pales in comparison to season 2. Definitely wprththe little time investment to watch it start to finish.
