Belle (2013)
Love this movie!
I have watched this a few times since I first saw it a couple of years ago. Although the film takes liberties with Dido's life, it still introduces many to this woman's story and the painting done of her. Her life was very different from many people of African descent at the time in England (also being mixed raced), so even this small glimpse into that world makes for a very entertaining watch. The romance was enjoyable and I felt they had chemistry. Gugu Mbatha Raw is gorgeous and did a fantastic job depicting Dido. Definitely worth a watch for those of us who enjoy historical romances with great costumes and a couple you're definitely rooting for.
Give it a try!
Mahô Tsukai no Yome (2017)
Beautiful
There is no other word to describe this anime. It deserves a much higher rating than it has on IMDB, that's for sure. This is not a typical romantic anime. Elias isn't just another handsome leading man, he is mysterious and is constantly learning about human, and his own emotions. Chise is a young lady who is actually very relatable and quite strong. Their relationship grows and changes throughout the series and it's really lovely to watch. The art and music is also very nice and the plot is unique. I highly recommend it!
The Irishman (2019)
Great, De Niro was a little distracting.
It was very interesting and I actually payed close attention to details. It was a long movie, however I don't usually mind. It was witty and funny yet also serious and compelling. The part that I was most bothered by was the fact that they tried really hard to make De Niro look Irish. His eyes were distracting and he still had a 'Italian' look. The real Frank Sheeran was very pale and the typical Irish look. Other than that, De Niro did a very good job despite being older than the character he was portraying. Some scenes you could tell he was a little older but he is an amazing actor. Al Pacino was amazing, and the best to watch in my opinion.
Nanatsu no taizai (2014)
Probably one of the best animes I've watched so far
*I watch all anime in Japanese with English subtitles*
One of my first animes that introduced me to the genre. The humour is great, the romance throughout is also a nice touch and keeps you rooting for and shipping the couples. This also helps cut the battle and violence scenes so it doesn't get repetitive and keeps the show balanced. I also find the storyline and plot to be really engaging so much so that I binge watched the whole series in a couple of days. My favourite character is probably Hawk! You'll understand why if you watch it.
Meliodas is generally a goofy character who has a thing for groping Elizabeth (humorously) , while Elizabeth is a mild young lady with incredible strength. Ban, King, Diane, Merlin etc are all great characters who really vary in personality. I think they have done such a great job and can't wait for the next season! Hurry up Netflix!!
Just a note to those who are concerned about the groping in the series, I do agree it doesn't send the right message to children, which is why I do believe it is rated TV-MA on Netflix. An older audience can see that it's just played for laughs and Elizabeth also does truly Love Meliodas. I'm not saying that makes it okay to steal girls panties and grope them. Hawk is almost always there to stop him and tell him off though! I'm a female anime watcher, btw.
