Carol's Second Act (2019– )

Awful
27 September 2019
I gave 1 because 0 is not available... All those stupid laughs, to indicate when you are supposed to be amused - but you are not.... I'm so not watching this...

They got all the ingredients...

...for a nice romcom. Beautiful, amazing landscape, 2 cute actors ( mostly him :) So how could they possibly produce such a cheesy movie? All predictable from the very beginning, stupid, goofy. What a waste of resources, with such a bad script. I gave 4 points for not clicking all the PC boxes and for NZ landscape.

Excellent episode...
27 August 2019
And great music , too. I usually don't like "modern" music in a movie with action placed in the past ( I remember a horrible rock'and roll in a movie with musketeers), but this one was great, I will watch the episode again only to hear it.

Excellent, original idea

I admit, I was very surprised....in a pleasant way. It is very original, well done, good acting, enough drama and humour to keep you hooked....I can't wait for the following episodes.

Way too cheesy...
9 August 2019
I couldn't resist until the end of episode 1.... I hoped it would be a modern day "Warrior", but the superpowers blah-blah and horrible soundtrack, especially during fights, made me quit...

A very light story...
5 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
What is the point to use 3 great actresses, without giving them a good story? It started OK, 3 forgotten mothers deciding to visit their sons...But then, the cliche cascade started, each son telling his mother which mistakes they made while raising them...after that, tearful reconciliations, all sons got in line and followed their mothers life advice ( whom to date/ marry, etc - yeah, right...), and they lived happily ever after...You don't need 120 minutes for that...

Quite good....at the beginning
5 August 2019
Funny, without trying too hard, to become cheesy. ( The joke about Prince Charles was priceless :). Rebel Wilson's role is not convincing, she's too young to play a badass brothel "madame", but altogether were 50 entertaining minutes. I will definitely look forward for the next episodes.

Later edit...unfortunately, episode 4 is awfully goofy, burps and vomit are basically the "jokes" in the whole episode...I'm disappointed, it started well...

What a waste...
30 July 2019
Of money, of good actors ( Emma Thompson, Chris Hemsworth, Liam Neeson)...and waste of my 30 minutes spent watching... This movie is so busy to click all the PC boxes that it forgets its purpose. Is slow, cheesy and more a cartoon than a movie.

Sooo boring...
25 July 2019
Gina Torres is amazing.... I don't mind is derived from Suits, I was glad, thinking it will be the same style - interesting, smart dialogues, sparkling... But this one is so boring...so predictable...corruption in city administration...who wants to see 10 episodes about that???

I am sorry, I like very much Gina Torres, but if the 3-rd episode will be as dull as the first 2, I will stop seeing "Pearson". Can't they bring somehow "Mike" back, to make a kick-ass team with "Jessica "? Anywhere , but public administration...

Cheesy
28 June 2019
....and so very predictable, that it gets boring...The scenery is beautiful, you can watch if you want to see beaches and waves, the rest is just like a 10 year old's theatre project.

Please, don't destroy my favourite show...
11 April 2019
I thought it cannot we worse, but , with a cartoon in every episode, and the lawyers starting to sing, and that Blum character becoming permanent....you ruined all the joy of watching. I thought TGF was the last show where would be cartoons and clowns, but I thought wrong...

No more stupid cartoons...
29 March 2019
Please, please, stop the stupid cartoons and songs, and hopefully we won't see again Blum character. The series is degrading fast, all very interesting plots are suffocated by those stupid songs.

21 March 2019
This is my favourite show, but this is the second episode with a horrible cartoon....apart of that, the whole episode was a parody, a grotesque show with that co-counsel Bloom. Maybe the writers have run off of ideas, but pushing this show into burlesque area doesn't do it any good.

I don't get it...
11 March 2019
....why they hired gorgeous male actors for roles like Thor, Captain America, Aquaman, Superman, and for Captain Marvel hired a dull, boring, girl-next-door actress? And I am a woman, asking this question.

It gets better...
9 March 2019
Actually, it started like a Ray Donovan typical episode, but now is more like a PR fixer. I will definitely continue to see it. I only wonder why she is always wearing the same pair of shoes... And why almost all dialogues in the agency are spitted very fast ( except "Caroline" - great character) ? I had to rewind sometimes to fully enjoy the typical english humour...

...without Sidney, is dull. Sidney and Geordie work/friendship was the main attraction for this show. Their dialogues were priceless. Now, without vicar Chambers, and with so much political correctness is sooo boring. For me, Grantchester is finished.

Rooney Mara, as Lisbeth, was perfect for this role ( and Daniel Craig as Michael), Claire Foy looks like a scared little cat all the time. Really I couldn't get into the movie atmosphere.

Horrible
29 September 2018
I don't know why the producers have to use those recorded laughs in the background . I couldn't resist more that 30 seconds, 2 ( not too bad jokes) filled with artificial laughs. Viewers are not (all) idiots, you know. If they feel amused, they will laugh, if not, not. But those laughs are killing everything from the beginning.

So slow...
16 September 2018
About one hour too long for what it has to say...It is not a problem that is sad or depressing...it is like you see it in slow motion. Save your time, read a good book...

...and very annoying. Suzanne's hallucinations are taking way too long - 30 seconds would be enough, nu 10 minutes - we knew already she's off medication, didn't need 10 whole minutes to remember that. And now, there is no spark...just dull interviews about the riot...I'm waiting to see the oitnb charm I was used to.

Dull
30 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I am very sorry to say that but, even this was/is among my favourite show, this episode was dull. A lot of fuss about saving Jessica's face, a lot of fuss about a kiss - Harvey overreacts as if Donna raped him, not kissed him to see "how it feels"- sounds like kindergarten. More, all that noise around Meghan's wedding doesn't do any good to the show - she will exit soon from it, for sure. No chemistry between "Rachel"and "Mike" any more. And "Paula" character is heavily pregnant - one would think that with so much available technology today, they would be able to make it less visible - all together, this episode looked clumsy to me. I still hope they will find a way to get rid of Rachel in the script, to find a new love interest for Mike and continue the show...

Just. Boring.
18 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, Vikander is not a good choice for Lara. She looks weak, fragile, vulnerable, yet her character manages to fight, wounded, with strong, armed men...C'mon...She looks like a wet mouse trying to escape from a flood...she has not the charisma that Lara Croft should have- Jolie did it much better. Then the plot...she refuses to accept her inheritance, lets her family house become a ruin, to spend her life delivering food by bycicle... C'mon again... More...she needed money to go to find what happened with her father...again, she refuses the inheritance, but she sells the only object she had left from her father...Really? And the music...dramatic tremolo when something bad happened...glorious tunes when something good..you got it. Like in old cartoons. Save the money, watch it online.

Seriously...?
20 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So, let me get this straight...I don't know for the rest of the world, but where I'm coming from, having sexual relations with a minor is illegal... But if it is filmed in Italy, with long bicycle rides in the sunset, great music , etc, is art and "coming of age"??? And those parents are surreal...watching their son corrupted and then heartbroken under their roof, with their consent...considering it just a normal life experience... And I used to like very much Armie Hammer...but seeing him kissing a teenager...even if it's for "art"... I don't understand where love is, in this movie...

Excellent...
18 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Image, acting, everything. Unpredictable, when you thing you understood what happened, you find out that there is much more. A lot to think about humanity, and how we stopped somewhere along the road to be human. Violence, greed, also kindness and love. I truly hope they will continue Season 2 with "Ryker"/Joel Kinnaman - he is the heart and soul of this.
