Reconstruction (2003)

Stunning, a real must see, if you like emotional films

It was a long time ago I have seen this film, but still... I can remember the feelings it has caused. I do not know why, but I felt everything, every single moment in this film just like I would have been the leading actor. The sadness, the happiness, every emotion. I suppose that the leading song Adaggio for strings, and the marvelous eyes of Maria Bonnevie was part of this magic, but... it really does not matter. It was not only a film, but something more. If you have not seen it before, then you must see it now. You would not regret it. The acting, the story, the music.. everything was... perfect.

This film is one of the best examples, why I accept filming as a kind of art.

The Tiger and the Snow (2005)

Benigni made it... again

I think the difference between the great and the normal artist lies in how they can re-produce the magic moments of art. The film "The life is beautiful" (TLIB) from Benigni was a nice surprise for me several years ago and now I thought let's see, what else he can do. To be absolutely honest this film is not as good, as the (TLIB), but I felt the magic once again. This film was not so deep, maybe, but it has something that I've never found in (american) comedies. There the source of the humor is often disgusting and it completely misses the real, intelligent humor, which can be found here. I definitely liked this film with all of errors and weaknesses in it. It's worth of watching.

Click (2006)

Not bad for Adam Sandler

This film is was a nice surprise for me. It was very far from perfect, but not as bad as other Adam Sandler films. I hate dumb American comedies without intelligent humor.

Please do not read the rest, if you did not yet watch the film.

Let's suppose that films start from 10.0 and this point is affected by each greater weakness, or mistake. The boring of the guy was disgusting (I have been eating my lunch while watching the film), thus, 9.0 point remains. Not much later Michael has fart in the room of his boss -> 8.5 point. The dog(s) with the duck was relatively humorous, but it had got too much focus on it (8.0). And then the film got better and better. I was surprised, because finally the story got a meaning. This is unusual in American comedies (nice surprise -> 8.5). Then Michael died. I think this is where the story should have ended. But... I do not really know why, the writers have continued the story. This was a really BIG mistake. "Everything was a dream" like ending has ruined the whole story (5.0). Why should Michael obtain a new chance? Oh... what a same! I was hoping not to have an ending like this. Still.. it is a good film, I think, one footstep in the right way, just do not stop here. Move along.

Slipstream (2005)

Nothing good, nothing why to see it

Oh, that was a really bad film. I like sci-fi very much, but this one... this is not sci-fi, this is a low-budget, low-story, low-acting "low-film". During watching the film I was waiting for something good, a good scene, a new idea, or... something. Unfortunately the end credits came before I found anything like this. Such a bad plot, the conversations... how could somebody write it down and make a film from it? Did he/she mean it really? I don't understand why such films are born, and why the people like it. Maybe I'am wrong, or something.

If you want to absolutely rest your brain and see something dumb, without humor, without actions or drama, then this is your film, go for it.

Absolon (2003)

Bad acting, poor story, LCT

Oh, mighty lord of Hollywood films, why was this film made? Such a bad acting and story (that has many logical mistake)! I mean seriously, that the best thing in this film was Kelly Brook, she was beautiful as always, but this is the one and only reason why this film is valuable for watching. This is a typical LCT (Low Cost Technology) film. Why are such films made, against boring, or...?

The character of Walters was comic, I'am not an actor, but I'am quite sure, that even I could play this role better. Did he learn acting, or... what has he searched here? I'am sad being watched this film, it wasn't worth enough.

Maybe I expected too much, but this movie didn't give me anything special. The video game was on of the best, how could somebody make such a bad film from it?

The film is a mystic-action-adventure film, without any atmosphere, with a very plain story, bad acting, and so much more. The director has forgotten sometimes what in the previous scenes was (it was night..and now it is sunny afternoon). I think always, that big games can be fimed well, but there are just a few film, that has succeed it. There were a lot of ideas in the game saga, where are they now? This film was worse than nothing.
