Nothing exceptional or distinctive in it.

How many stories like this have we seen so far: mother (Renee Zelweger) finds out that her husband (Kevin Bacon) is cheating on her and leaves him. Obviously, the children go with her. She thinks she will be able to go to another town nearby and find herself a new husband, wealthy enough to sustain the family. Travelling from city to city, and as many things happen to them, she cannot find anyone to 'sign the deal.' The further away they go from NY, the more the mother learns about her family and herself.

Very conventional, this is a road film where the family is moving from one coast to the other (NY to LA). The story is being told from the point of view of the youngest son. As the narrator, he tells us what he thinks about his mother, family relations, the trip, etc.

A good family/drama movie. But only good.

5/10*.

No Greater Love (1995 TV Movie)

not bad, but not brilliant either.

Movie is not bad, oh no. World is just filled up with them. I think that watching another titanic disaster in a movie after the great James Cameron "Titanic" is just boring. And those true shots from SOS... Not attracting.

But, fortunately, the movie is not only about the titanic disaster. All the story bases on it because parents of four children and one of the children's fiancé died there. Now they have to face the adulthood. Ex-fiancée, as the eldest child, tries to be the parent for her brothers and sister. She has to face the adversities and forget about the only man she ever loved. Others are waiting for her almost at the doorstep ;)

I enjoyed the movie a lot. Especially when I saw the young Hayden Christensen, who played Teddy. (He was so cute!) Pleasant to watch.

it's not worth watching
10 January 2006
Although I say the movie it's not worth watching, I give it a note 4/10. Why? Because of the beautiful music and the colours which you can see only in the east. The movie can also change a bit our thinking about those countries. They too have computers, internet, mobiles and dress nice ;)

And now. Was it supposed to be funny? It was piteous. Pride and Prejudice is not a funny story and the movie wasn't quite a musical. However, you could see that they wanted to add something like that. Singing scenes are the most funny of all.

What you could feel the most was the love between the main characters. I could feel my nails hurt because I was so into the love story! But all those parts just don't fit! Musical + comedy + romance? Definitely NO!

oh, not good at all.

I love Harry Potter with all my heart. And I was sooo disappointed after watching this movie! In my opinion changing of the director was not good. OK, J.K. Rowling wanted the reader grow with the book. But is it why the director was changed from the one who was a specialist in filming movies for children to the other who doesn't know a thing about movies for children! Oh, please. This is no longer a movie for the youngsters! All those beautiful landscapes, Hogwarts sooo big... I just don't understand. How can someone do something like this to this GREAT book? So many things are different... I was disguised when I went out of the cinema.

Alexander (2004)

This is not about Alexander!
3 January 2005
I've heard a lot about Alexander from many different people. They said how great he was to unite so many countries, to be a big example for people. I thought of him as of a person who was the very greatest of people who can be an authority. and all I can think about Alexander after watching this movie is that he was gay. oh, give me a break. i don't know why critics said something about the movie being very bloody. the movie was not about Alexander The Great but a king who was a homosexual. i have to admit. i can find there a few great scenes, but about young Alexander. the older he was the more often they've shown his difference. that's why i think the film is not worth seeing.
