Falls in love and has to fight for it. That's it....
Reached expectations? Not at all. IF you expected comedy and masala, you guessed right. Movie would have been nice if it released in the 80s.
Direction: 7/10 A classical direction. Half the shots you just like, you have got to be kidding me, it's that cheap. Half of the shots had no effort into it. The other half however were nice like the train action scene was the best in the whole movie. Mainly the action scenes had effort. The rest had none. Nothing special added.
Screenplay: 7/10 Movie was fast paced at first and had nice comedy. 2nd half it could get boring for a few. Some people didn't mind. The movie did have decent screen writing and etc. But nothing special.
Editing: 7/10. Nice editing. Some parts it was cheap and annoying. But overall it was decent.
Story: 4/10 Nothing new, another stupid 80s story added in. It was cheap, nothing new, and sometimes annoying.
Acting: 7/10 Decent acting. Sometimes the characters were over exaggerated. Ajith did an excellent job. Santhanam did too. Villains were OK and the rest did decent.
Music: 6.5/10 Background music was not bad. It was nice and enjoyable. Theme music was nice too. The songs were OK. Some were horrible and some were decent.
Verdict: Movie was OK and could have been way better. 6.4/10
The Polar Express (2004)
A Journey to The North Pole. Believable?
About a movie going to the North Pole. The kid learns to believe. Is that it? Surprisingly the answer is Yes. Movie was an absolute disappointment. Could have been a lot better. Worth a peek, but you probably wont stay for long.
Direction: 6/10 Direction was OK. Could have been a bit better with some shots annoying such as when the director really wants to make the movie feel 3D. Then there were some pointless and worthless scenes that could have been removed.
Screenplay: 5/10 About that....It was a pretty good attempt. Movie gets a bit boring and sometimes the dialogues make a bit no sense. Its a bit cheap too. Screenplay was OK.
Editing: 5/10 Again. Could have been better. The animation was great but on the characters not so much. The Characters look horrible and don't have that final realistic touch into it. But on the scenery the editing was good.
Story: 4/10 Horrible. I have seen the story many times before. Only difference, this one has a long boring train ride. Which makes it even worse. The story was pointless. At the end it said to believe and I was like really? I was waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes for this? WOW.
Entertainment: 4/10 Not entertaining. I'm not just talking about comedy. I am talking about if you got bored or not. I got bored. Really bored. Nothing exciting except for the train almost dead. I was bored to death in this movie.
Music: 8/10 Music was alright. Nice attempt. Sometimes I wondered if it could have been better. But overall it was nice, nothing really annoying here.
Verdict: A boring Journey with some missed tracks here and there. Rating: 5.25/10
7 Aum Arivu (2011)
Follows the Past and Saves The Future
Movie doesn't reach expectations. But overall it is definitely worth a watch. The only bad part about the movie is that it's a bit boring and we expect better from it.
Direction: 8/10 AR. Muragadoss did an excellent job with direction. Not a single thing was missed. Just had some small bad scenes
Screenplay: 7/10 Drags a bit but its nice. It's good enough to keep the audience in the theater.
Editing: 8/10 Superb editing. Just needed to reduce the length a bit
Story: 5/10 Not the best. It's Average. Barely any effort into it. Also some stuff were impossible in the movie. A bit over exaggerated. Kind of bothers the audience to see something totally impossible to do.
Acting: 9/10 Superb performance by the actors. Suirya did his best and did a very good job. Carries the movie along good too.
Music: 7/10 The background music can get annoying at times. But overall the music is nice. Songs and background music are nice. The background music isn't exactly perfect though.
Verdict: CAN BE GIVEN A WATCH RATING: 7.25/10
