An Unfunny Entourage
21 May 2019
Atlanta, seven episodes deep and it goes nowhere. It's like a random series of skits...but poorly written ones.

Very meh.

So Many Scenes That Don't Make sense.
19 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Allowing a child (a surviving witness) in to talk to a killer with no guards???...Well there is a lawsuit waiting to happen!!!

A psychogist who believes Bruce Willis just has metal illness but is happy to blast him with water...which would clearly be in breach of his human rights.

All just very silly stuff, not thought through.

You Really Have to Suspend Rational Thinking
13 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Special agents who encourage people to run across an open field while being perused by people with automatic weapons...what???

Eve unarmed stopping a car while under fire, to get out & reason with a killer she knows is a psychopath??? What???

Very silly stuff, and Jodie's over acting is cringey.

At Least It Was Original
28 April 2019
Lots of social commentary, in a highly stylised completely weird movie. It's out there, it's original, but I didn't think the supposed gags hit the mark.

It ends up looking like an art piece someone created while on LSD, but not in a good way.

As Much Dialogue As You Would Expect From A Zombie
16 April 2019
Are Zach Snyder and Geoge A Romero the only people who can get the Zombie Genre right?

There is not much character development or dialogue for that matter here. When I realised it was by the same makers of the ridiculous Z Nation I wasn't surprised. Though this however, is not nearly as daft.

This has potential if the writing was improved. It is watchable if leave you brain at the door and can get past the cheap production. (Silly mistakes, like someone's hand badly bleeding, the next scene not a scratch!)

First Book was Exciting...
27 March 2019
The first book in the series was Exciting and original but it quickly ran out of steam.

The series struggled past the first episode. Terrible special effects and cheap looking body suits.

It's not remotely scary.

First Season Is Ok
25 March 2019
Gleeson saves the first season with great acting. Some of the sets look a bit cheap or tacky you can clearly see it's low budget.

Not Sure What it Is
25 March 2019
It's listed as a comedy drama, some moments it's quiet serious and rather dull and then that's juxtaposed to moments of unrealistic slapstick "comedy".

It's original I'll give it that much.

Like Lost Stretched Beyond Its Limit

While the premise was interesting, and the first season was reasonably entertaining. After that it became like flogging a dead horse.

If constant misery, weekly rape and vaginal bleeding is your thing your in for a triple treat.

Shoot Me Now

Really dull movie, getting through it is like a war of attrition. Silly plot and boring characters. Watching ants trying to unwrapping a Poptart would be time better spent.

Where Do The Crazy High Ratings Come From
13 March 2019
This movie at best is very average. Ben Affleck again demonstrates is non acting ability. He's almost the same character in every movie. There's nothing in this you haven't seen before.

A complete rip off of other recent French and British zombies made better flicks.

Yawn.

Ain't No Train To Busan
5 February 2019
While it is better than 80% of the zombie flicks out there, I feel this series is let down by some horrible over acting. And some ridiculous characters who I assume are there for some sort of comedy value.

One minute it's trying to be serious walking dead style horror, the next minute you have bumbling Laurel & Hardy type characters screaming like girls and falling about the place.

As for the people giving it a 10 rating...if you consider this a perfect ten, holding it aloft with the Likes of Breaking Bad and the Wire you need your head examined.

Missed Opportunity
29 January 2019
I love the Punisher, but it seems Hollywood can't get it right. For once they cast the right lead, but some of the supporting actors and the writing are a let down.

Neither of the first two seasons are particularly exciting or original. And some of the acting wooden to say the least.

Here's hoping they get the balance right if there is a season 3.

Very Over Rated.
10 January 2019
While season one is engaging, subsequent seasons are fairly bog standard stuff. The IRA characters boarder on ridiculous.

Comparisons to The Wire are unfounded. It's nowhere near as smart.

Season one is a beautiful thing.

Then Vince Vaughan happened and the less said about that the better.

Shambling Along Like The Dead

Season one was fantastic. Then they dropped a great director and got 5 year olds to write seasons 6 onwards.

It's no longer worth the effort.

How To Kill A Franchise.
16 September 2018
I was so excited about this movie, my god were any expectations dash.

The plot is ludacris, loads of unexplained jumps, and silliness. Terrible acting, and one of the worst Irish accents attempted since PS I Love You.

It's like the A Team meets the Goonies meets Predator...and not in a good way.

I feel robbed of my money, time and soul after enduring this trip.

The Muppets Christmas Carol has far better dialogue and is more realistic.

Go home Vin you're drunk.

Not sure how anyone over the age of 8 could enjoy these movies. Logic and physics are both defied in this series.

Gripping, unflinching, no holds barred look at life on the inside. It's not for the faint of heart. Brilliant and intriguing characters. Unfortunately it ended way too soon.

Would love them to revive Oz.

Absolutely brilliant. It does a great job of bringing the graphic novel to life. The score is eerie and amazing. Perfectly paced, It's survival horror at its best. Josh Hartnet shines as Eb.
