Great cast and that's about it.
Having worked in the music business on tours as a roadie for several years and then working locally in my town for another year - plus travelling across the country as a musician, this fails on all accounts of how the crew works, sets up and acts in general.
I have NEVER had discussions with any of my crew members or any other crew member, nor have I ever heard of other crew members talking like the cast talks on here.
This is so far from the scope of reality and it's boring as well.
A real show is stressful - and you can feel it in the air. When you do three of these a week, it's even more stressful.
When you're travelling 16 or 18 hours a day, sleep in a hotel room with people you can't stand and wish were gone from the first 5 minutes of meeting them and then dealing with all the confusion of who went wherre and why they aren't around - the work is crazy.
This show captures none of that. It captures none of the ongoing problems with power or setting up or tearing down or having truck problems.
It captures nothing of the lack of sleep everybody gets or where to do laundry after being on the road for days on end.
It is anything far from true and it's not even remotely interesting.
The director, producer and writers should have spent a few weeks or months in an actual tour to understand the realism of how these things operate.
When you're setting up in pouring rain, when you're soaked through and all your clothes are dirty or wet and your luggage is missing, when the restaurants are closed after a night of working.
When your co-workers share a hotel and soak the bathroom floor after they get out of a shower. That's real.
When the hotels are booked solid and the operations manager never made hotel arrangements...that's real.
When the transport trucks have problems and blow a tire - and the driver is pissed and about to tear people's heads off - that's real.
Being stuck in the mountains with the vans having mechanical problems - that's real.
Having co-workers drunk or stoned because they can't handle the job...that's real.
Trying to wake somebody up at 6 in the morning because they worked all night and had 2 hours of sleep and the crew has to leave, but the guy just can't get himself awake...that's real.
This show is poorly researched, poorly developed and just lame in so many ways it's unheard of.
Wanna know what it's like to be a real roadie?
I've played in big bands, I've worked in the industries and I've dealt with problems which want to make you want to kill yourself or all your crew.
The problems are big, they are always there and none of it reflects to any degree in this show.
Considering I also worked on this series for a few episodes, the failed to even acknowledge any credit for me and failed to get any inspiration from my real adventures in touring hell.
Bad Seeds (2013)
Bad Kitties is Boring Kitties
I was looking for some real reckless story about bad girls and the trouble they cause.
This is just boring and horribly filmed.
There's no story, just shaky camera with a lack of anything interesting by almost an hour passing.
Days of Power (2018)
Lousy editing does not make a movie better.
When you have to do as many cuts and edits in a matter of seconds as this movie has, it's to hide the fact that the story and script is weak.
It's really weak - and no amount of fast cut frames and choppy editing can change that.
This is alright for a 5th grade project, but for a full feature film, this is poorly done from 2 minutes in.
It's boring from the start and continues throughout.
Go to bed and have better dreams - or worse dreams...whatever.
A very solid movie done with next to no budget.
This is the second movie I've watched from writer/director/actor/producer Tom Getty and while there are major consistent continuity problems, due to weather and clips from other videos he borrowed stock footage from, and yes - there are also some flaws in the story and plot, it still is a solid film.
Done on a super small budget - over a period of several years - I find this top notch.
As far as I'm concerned, if the minor flaws were not there and the entire cameras being all over the place idea actually made a little more sense with the way it was shot, then I would probably rate it a 10.
As far as I'm concerned, with a bigger budget and better editing and maybe another writer on hand to really go over some of the ideas, this would be a winner in the entire production - those few things saddly brought this production down - but that's not a bad thing.
His genius to create, direct, film and produce and market his scripts to completion is just remarkable - and that is something that thousands of directors and producers can not do half as good with a budget over over $60 million dollars.
Even with the problems which arose, it still kept me invest in watching to the end without wanting to turn it off - and many many many other film don't do that.
When I realize that the amount of effort it takes to complete this all, those few problems are nothing that I can't overlook.
This and America Has Fallen is just amazing - deemed his budgets are really under $8000.
That is some crafty work and more film makers should take a lesson from this guy, because this is top-notch work as far as I'm concerned.
Problems aside, I wish this guy plenty of prosperity with making his films in the coming years, because it just shows how talented he is and how he can do things like this - while Tom Cruise and George Clooney require hundreds of millions of dollars to make something that doesn't stand up to this at all, not keep me interested.
No, I don't know the writer or director in any capacity - nor am I a co-worker or student at his school, but after seeing his stuff - I would certainly love to meet and work with him - because he shows the skills that so many other film makers have either never picked up on, or have forgotten of they ever did know it.
Awesome work guys.
Looking forward to your upcoming work...hopefully you will have a bigger budget to work with, because I would love to see what kind of magic you can do with it.
There is an actual story here.
I would like to congratulate Lamont on his work.
I am amazed that for a budget of $7000 or somewhere there, he had written, produced, directed and cast as many actors in a film like this on such a small budget.
In addition, he has sond effects, special effects, computer effects and even stunts.
This is actually amazing - given the super small budget to film and edit and then to market this.
There are production companies and studios given hundreds of millions of dollars to do movies and they don't come out 1 /10th as good, not do they have a good story.
While this movie has flaws, yes - some are obvious, what is truely remarkable is the ability to deliver an actual story- where so many films fail to do so.
Whomever Lamont is - and whatever happened to him after this, somebody in the major studios and production houses in LA or New York or any major film location - should seriously seek him out and hire him right soon.
After countless hundreds of big-budget flops which I've seen - paid or free, this is a nice refreshing change.
Is this film worthy of a 10 to me?
Not with the faults which a poor budget brings - but it's a ten in the method that with as much was required to even get a 30 minute film complete, this has matched andd surpassed that by delivering about an hour and a half story.
To those who voted this a 1 or a 2, - you seriously need to re-evaluate films and the effort that it takes to make something - and once again, to make it on a super-small budget - as much as a decent used car and to then handle the marketing - all around for $7000, well that takes a genius to do - and somebody who really knows what they are doing.
There have been movies made with less - yes, but they were shaky cam, go nowhere plot which relied of cheap scares and offered a fraction of the value shown here.
Everybody in this film did a tremendous job, while in the same breath, not all the actors were good.
However - with all things equaling out, this movie is pretty solid - and I would love to see what the crew can do with a budget of 5 or 10 million - or more.
In a world where remakes after remakes and franchise films populate the theatres, this is a fantastic fresh and interesting take on science fiction, drama and film overall.
I'm sick of the Batman movies and the Transformer movies and all the hyped up crap that gets pumped out every 2 months from Universal or MGM and basically Hollywood in general.
Hollywood has relied upon Iron Man and Superman and Spiderman and Star Wars for far too long and as far as I'm concerned, those franchise films failed many years ago.
The last Ghostbusters was a horrid piece of trash and the budget was thousands of times more than this.
Lamont and the rest of the cast and crew did a wiccked job and they should be proud, they certainly impressed me to make me review this film with such a high rating, because there are not too many that do.
Looking forward to your next pieces of work folks - and good luck out there.
Thanks for making something I enjoyed watching and I hope you all do well in your fields.
Interesting story and fantastic work.
Hell's Kitty (2018)
Awesome little movie
What a cool little kitten...
...and a cool movie as well. Filmed on a very small budget with cast also working as crew, this is a gem - one that sadly many big budget films will never be able to match.
Funny dialog, obvious poorly done effects and a story which is absurd, but makes sense in it's entire construct.
I thought this film, performances - though not award winning, and the songs were very well created.
The cat - Angel is an amazing performer and should be well on her way to becoming a superstar feline in Hollywood.
I hope she claws her way to the top - and lands on her feet.
Good job guys.
I look forward to a second story...maybe one about a litter.
A hilarious disaster
Obviously this was not written to win any awards - and makes the not so good version of the original movie seem like award winning material.
Missing Gina Gershon and Elizabeth Berkley and Kyle McLaughlin, this still features a cast from the first one and a cast of unknowns.
Horribly written, dreadfully performed, atrociously edited, directed by somebody who is going blind and given a musical score by an equally near deaf person, this little disaster is a laugh to sit through - be sure to watch for the cleverly crafted editing, choreographed dance and fight scenes, effects and of course the stylized lighting and cinematic camera work.
This is an ideal movie to show to film students on how NOT to do a movie.
With the performances who are classically trained by a cement block and the dialogue and action scenes written for a tree stump, this movie kept me entertained due to it's sheer silliness and totally devoid story.
So bad - it's bad, so it's good...if that makes any sense.
The amazing Rena Riffel has concocted something so awful that it becomes something so funny, because nobody would seriously consider this to be anything but a joke...and it got her another writer/director/producer/performer credit - and in a town of celebrities, this gives her slightly a leading edge - though her next few en-devours may want to be of significantly better quality and structure in all capacity.
Aus dem Nichts (2017)
If a remake was done...
If this gets a remake done, there are only a few choices for the leads and they are as follows.
Charlize Theron - Lead and nobody else Gina Gershon / Kristanna Loken - Sister Ray Liotta / Christian Bale - Defence Lawyer James Woods / Rachel Ticotin - Detective Al Pacino / Denzel Washington - Police Investigator Halle Berry / Sharon Stone - Public Defender Michael Douglas / Morgan Freeman - Judge Richard Grieco / Timothy Olyphant - Greek man Kathleen Turner - Mother John Goodman - Father Scarlett Johansson - Female bomber Taylor Lautner - Male bomber
Titled as Fade To Black
ideal cast with the story adapted for America
Laughable at best
Every once in a while, a movie will come along where you have to admire the people who made it - for whatever reason they made it - and you have to ask yourself.
Why would they make this and who on Earth would do such a thing?
When your dinosaur action packed movie consists of 4 lead players and 2 supporting players and a budget of about $120, you begin to question the meaning of life - and of course, this unsolved crime in movie making history.
With the massive 120 $ budget, you can rent a smoke machine, a car garage with a metal roll door, 2 blue warehouse lights and a red gel which goes over a lamp to turn the light red . You also can create a mindless simplistic software program for 2 year old children and buy a silicone dinosaur mask and a painters suit and dust masks.
That should give you enough change back to buy the lunch for the crew and cast of chocolate bars and water and you still might have a bit of change left to get a coffee for the producer of this disaster.
Scary? No. Thrilling? No. Scientific? No. Dramatic? Romantic? Comedic? Adventurous?
You expect too much in life if you expect anything like that. Keep wishing.
It's abysmal in it's own and it;s entire design, production and marketing is laughable at best.
Mongolian Death Worm (2010)
It's a sad story
It's a sad story when there are scripts like this that get made.
Out of all the hundreds of thousands of scripts that can land on the desk of a producers, stuff like this gets funded and then produced and then put out into the circulation and then given a cover and even an audience.
I ca'n't fault the actors for trying to earn a paycheck or the crew for trying to cover their bills - however, I definitely have to fault the writer, director and the people who actually fund this.
When garbage like this gets made, this shows very poor business decision making skills on behalf of the business people in the movie making industry - because the budget that was blown on this, could have made several actual good movies.
Certainly this has to be some sort of money laundering scheme - because no real producer would have the audacity to even consider this a valid story and then invest the time, effort, finances and people to create such misery...and then have the courage to attach their name to something of this quality.
Not much value here that you can enjoy. Spend your time watching reruns of dishwashing detergent commercials and actually get some entertainment value from those - because this is just too pathetic to spend any more than the time it takes to read my comment.
Wow...what a waste of time and what a downfall on the entire movie industry.
Bikini Model Academy (2015)
Bikini Model Academy
This movie is a touching, endearing movie.
It tells the tale of how we - as a society fails to come to terms with the world around us and how we compromise our beliefs and values for that which we settle for while we continue to struggle to achieve our dreams, goals and aspirations.
This is a message of not only our inner emotions, but also on our fight to empowerment and to overcome. Overcome our failures, overcome our passions, overcome the pressures of a life which degrades us - all the while, as we slowly accept the change and how it all encompasses us.
If you've ever felt that your life is not worth living, this poignant little movie will spark the blissful feelings and spirit in you to make you feel youthful once again.
This remarkable story is one of truth - a truth which defines who we are and the essence of our very existence.
It asks the questions...
Who am I?
Why are we here?
What is the meaning of life?
Where do we go from this point on?
How did the Earth and all the galaxies come to be?
It's construct is that the theory of all relative masses equate to a single equation and that is - us - as a whole...an entity which can be one - within ourselves.
Bikini Model Academy is truely remarkable in it's writing, performing and overall production.
Overlooked by many -as being too either quasi-important or underwhelming, it certainly is a film which should capture the hearts and minds of the human race.
Bikini Model Academy is one of the finest masterpieces ever crafted by man - and defines the very essence of all life on Earth and beyond.
This is a project of the human spirit and our ability to achieve the untouchable on our quest for life.
A script so intricately devised, it is simply amazing on so many levels that to understand this, brings you into that of a God-like being.
Remarkable photography, performances which are so tender and heartbreaking and a story so intriguing.
It's time for you to invest the precious moments to capture and embrace this piece of art and let it transform you.
Nobody Knows Anything! (2003)
A GOOD MOVIE - NO - A GREAT MOVIE
I found this movie absolutely great.
It was fantastic. I was very tired and unable to sleep at 4 in the morning, so I put on Nobody Knows Anything.
Not even halfway through, did I feel the excitement...there it was...
Me - wanting to go to sleep.
This movie is perfect for wanting to go to bed.
If you've never tried this as a sleep remedy - you should really try watching this movie without closing your eyes.
The perfect movie to go to sleep by....
A special thanks to the writer, director, actors, and producers who made this all possible.
This is why I rated this film so highly...I gave it a two - because it helped me go to sleep.
BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD
BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD
is there anything good about this waste?
No. It's just bad.
Surprisingly, this is not the worst I've seen - but it comes very close.
It's so bad - it makes other bad movies seem good in comparison.
It's that bad - and that ain't good.
It;s not even so bad it's good. it's just bad. That's it.
End of the Line (1987)
Too many flaws.
There are simply too many flaws once the train departs to Chicago and they arrive in the windy city.
The plot gets lost 15 or so minutes in and gets worse as it continues.
Complete with lack of knowledge about time and distance and continuity and overall logic.
What could have been very good with a plausible storyline turned into more science fiction than the entire Star Wars / Star Trek franchise.
Obviously the writers didn't do enough research and thinking in any capacity. Using any real knowledge would have stopped this story dead in it's tracks.
If the theme of "sticking it to the man" was supposed to shine through...it sorely didn't.
This failed miserably - and the good actors had small roles (which is a good thing).
Had Kevin Bacon and a small handful of actors taken on any larger scope of this film, it would have truely killed their careers.
Wilford Brimley didn't have to worry - as he was looking at going to the other side anyway, so this was just something for him to pass time with.
Whatever potential this movie had, disappeared and never came back to reality.
End of the Line is really end of the line...there's nowhere for it to go and once you get there - you wonder why you decided to even take the chance.
Excellent pshyco film
I found this movie to be far better than the Fatal attraction movie that this is so compared to.
her casting was excellent.
She's crazy for real - and she really got into her character.
For all the horror movies that are made, this is one that I actually feel could be real - because there are people out there like this.
I have nothing to do with this film and I don't know any of the cast or crew - but I did like it. Many of the comments on here are very negative, but I actually think that this was well made for a very low budget movie.
It will never be a favourite, but it's pretty wicked and the casting on the crazy girl was perfect.
I ended up seeing a few of the youtube videos, though I didn\t sit through them all. Some were good, some were bad - this beat them all.
The writer/director kept the story interesting and I'm looking forward to another movie about this character.
Hopefully, the next movie won't go into Hollywood mode and become too commercial - because this was pretty gritty and well done in it's own,
I'll be looking for more movies from this director/writer and from the actress who played the crazy girl to extreme - and I hope that I never cross her path - because she played her role a little too well.
She also knows how to use her tools. There are many construction workers who don't use them that good.
Yes, low budget. Yes, cheesy. Yes - awesome.
The Deal (2008)
Boring and pointless
Wow. This is tiresome.
It's boring and pointless and there is absolutely no humor.
Obviously this movie is made for Jewish people who work in and around Hollywood or New York and not for anybody from another culture.
This is insulting to anybody who is not Jewish.
There is endless yapping, love scenes which spring out of nowhere and a plot that also goes nowhere - because it appears from nowhere.
I have nothing against any religion or nationality, but this just sucks.
It's not only insulting to anybody who is Jewish - but also to anybody who isn't Jewish.
Basically, it's insulting to everybody.
The only people who can appreciate this on any level are the people that worked on the film in any capacity, because there is nothing else to enjoy. They made a few more connections, they made a paycheck, some got to travel and they get credit for something that is listed on IMDB - another notch, only not of anything of interest.
This was compared to Bowfinger - which in no way should it be.
Bowfinger is in no way any comparison.
Bowfinger is actually funny and has a plot which can relate to almost anybody - in Hollywood or not - and it doesn't segregate any religions or nations. The entire story of Bowfinger is a laugh from the first minute to the last - and it makes sense - even to 10 year old kids.
This is straight garbage - and as good as the people played their parts, they still were bad- because the story was bad - except for some few Jewish people who work in the film industry. They will find this intriquing for some mysterious reason.
The high rating system on here is constructed of the people involved in this mess, because nobody else on the planet would find it funny - even in a dark humorous sense. There is no comedy or dramedy - there is only tiresome boring nothingness compounded with endless chatter about faith of some religion.
If this was made by Catholics - it would suck, if this was made by Buddhists or Hindus, Islams, Baptists or Lutherans or any other religious sect on the planet - regardless which one chosen - it would still suck.
This was made by Jewish Hollywood business people for a very small group of Jewish Hollywood business people about a very small group of Hollywood business people and it employed a majority of Jewish Hollywood business people.
This is more racist than almost any other film I've ever seen - and it doesn't even entertain in any capacity. Even if I was Jewish - it would bore me - because it just sucks!
I don't have to be Jewish or understand the religion in any capacity to realize there is nothing here. There's a story which is about 1 hour and 40 minutes long and it's just a dreadful bore to sit through - and not even as entertaining as this review.
Any other Jewish people will be lost on this if they have no connection with any high sections of movie making. Even if they worked in the production office or accounting or as a crew member, they won't get the story - because it lost it's focus after 3 minutes of starting.
Congratulations if you are 1 of 3000 people that watched this film and understood it in any capacity. You are the rare and limited audience that this went for and somehow magically succeeded.
As horrid as this was, I'm glad it was made - not because it shows promise - but because it shows none. Which means - the executives in Hollywood really have no clue as to what they are signing on for, but if it includes Jewish themes - they hope to save their hides.
This will not be viewed by majority of people - but the amount of money that was spent on this could have made 10 decent budget films which would actually be enjoyed and viewed by millions - but surprisingly, bankers, producers, distributors and financiers decided to put out this crap in hopes of somehow getting a kickback or some sort of payoff further down the line.
Dreadful on so many levels. Regardless of race, this is just a stinker with no redeeming quality.
It's also super racist in it's very own way.
Slow Burn (2005)
Good cast, good story
Lots of twists, great performances and once again -Ray Liotta does an impeccable job.
A story worth watching and something that isn't truly a happy ending - like so many tv shows are.
This is good design on so many levels.
Born to Raise Hell (2010)
Standard Steven Segal movie
Tough cop - busts a bunch of bad guys.
Typical story. Pretty much a rewrite of almost any other Steven movie.
Lots of hot girls - they always have to be...because there are no other women in Romania aside of hot stripper chicks. The entire country must consist of strippers - because there is no other reason to have a woman in his films unless they are strippers.
Now, don't get me wrong. I like hot women and I like strippers - but this has been overdone on so many films it is getting ridiculous and boring.
It seems that gangsters have no other locations that they do business aside of strip bars or warehouses surrounded by people with guns.
How bad of a writer do you have to be to think that these are the only places to film meetings or shootings?
The world is full of businesses and locations which do not revolve around strippers and strip bars and warehouses loaded with weaponry.
While I am sure that a ton of young hot women are heavy into getting stoned, I am also certain that a bunch of older women who weigh more than a toothpick also wanna get stoned. What happened to them? What happened to a shootout in an art gallery or a dentist office or a clothing store?
Personally, I would love to see Steven Seagal hook up with an overweight woman i her mid 40's and he should have a shootout in a shoe store. or a bakery
These gangsters and mafia members deserve to get shot and killed and arrested for being as stupid as they are.
If they didn't all dress the same and walk around like clones of each other in other movies - they would live longer.
I wasn't expecting some massive major story development in a Steven Segal movie - but this is so rehashed from so many other movies - it puts a damper on the entire genre of action.
An action movie could be real fun and entertaining and funny and everything else at the same time - these have become so drab because casting and locations is almost entirely the same for hundreds of films like this.
The blame relies more on them than on his limited acting and story telling.
The director and producer is at fault - more than the headlining star.
I'm sick of seeing strippers and strip bars for no other reason than to throw in some hot chicks and do a 5 minute strip show because the story lacks originality.
I'm sick of seeing bad guys dress in black leather jackets with slicked back hair and sunglasses - when they can dress in jeans, t-shirt and runners and be even more threatening.
Mind and Machine (2017)
Good casting for Mya
Yes, the script is a little rough and it could have had more of a solid story with real development, but it was entertaining enough for the time.
The color was bland and locations were also lacking in real substance - but what impressed me was the casting for Mya.
She fit right. She has the right skin type to play a machine and the mannerisms that also fit.
There are flaws to the story - no doubt, but like Charlize Theron - Ariana Guerra has something unique which brings the charm and hits the perfect style needed to play an emotionless character who is learning and slowly advancing as a killing machine.
I could not imagine too many actresses who can pull that off.
Once again, I place her in the same league as Charlize Theron - flawless in execution. She brings the magic to the movie - where everything else is missing something of importance or detail which loses the over all story.
A bigger budget, another worked over script worth more to it and some better effects and camera work - as well as some nice color and this film would have been just awesome.
Some of the casting for the characters and their overall presence was poor - but Mya's was spot on for the part - and for this reason alone, is why this movie intrigued me.
This is a small budget film - but the real star of this is the execution of the flawless skinned and dead blank stare which is not easy to pull off, but is fine tuned by the actress who did this role.
That is why this movie gets an 8.
I've seen other robot/android movies and as good as they are - and in this, I include the Terminator movies (which I find just wicked) - but even they don;t have that same dead look in the eyes.
The actress did just a phenomenal job in that role and if she carries on doing such great work - she may have a very large career in her future.
The person who cast her gets kudos as well - because there are thousands of girls of all nationalities - and they would not be able to achieve the same result. Good job on getting the right girl - with the right look and the right presence for a movie which just wouldn't have been the same without her.
While the rest of the cast could have easily been replaced with just about anybody else- big names or not - there are very few women who can deliver that cold, blank and unfriendly emotion.
Too many plot holes
Lots of plot holes. Lots of inconsisyencies.
Maybe the writers didn't realize that the US and Mexico requires passports to get from Mexico across the Border - and that neither of them had any. Bobby Z or kid had no wallet, passport or anything else.
They left the Mexico house, was chased down, shot at and Bobby Z was a known criminal in the USA. He was charged and convicted of murder, yet he and a Mexican kid can go easily across the US/Mexico border with no id, wallets, cash - after being ragged looking and Bobby Z being known as a convicted murderer and drug dealer.
I had a hard time going across the border into the US with unpaid parking tickets and a small charge of theft under $100 from when I was 18 years old.
Now Bobby Z can go with a child and himself - who have been beaten and are ragged looking, as well as Bobby Z wanted by both US and Mexican police for murder charges - and in addition, they can do it with no ID papers - unless they happen to have them stuck up their butt-holes.
This story loses credibility 5 minutes after it starts 0 and it just gets worse and worse.
After watching plenty of movies with Paul Walker in them, he seems to take them - even though they lack a story or any thought into that story.
This is just dumb on every level.
The 2 star rating is for camera work, locations and for the extras who weren't paid enough to work in this crap fest.
Time Lapse (2001)
Very bad. Very dad. Very bad.
This was very bad. Vry bad. Very bad.
The only worthwhile actor in this was Dina Meyer - and luckily for her, hopefully she got paid.
The script was stupid with too many unbelieveabilities and incompetent moves.
Very bad continuity and story structure.
It also featured a lead actor - William McNamara who looked like he was going to bust out in tears at any moment.
When your lead character looks like they are about to cry all the time, maybe it's time to get another actor who won't shed tears after they read the script.
But then, anybody reading this script would probably want to cry - it's that bad.
Dina, no doubt had bills to pay - so sadly she took it, but it is so far beneath her.
This gets two stars - just for having Dina Meyer in the film - anything aside of that is not worth the second star.
Bailout: The Age of Greed (2013)
One of my favourite movies.
I've watched plenty of movies while lying sick in bed and due to weather.
This film is just fantastic on so many levels.
I have no idea why so many people state that Uwe doesn't know how to make films. In-fact I think he makes great films.
After all the countless absolutely lousy movie's I've seen, considering the budget that Uwe has for most of his, his films rock.
Are they perfect? No. No film is...even the best have flaws.
This has a solid story and great actors.
Good camerawork, great story, great actors and a great director to sum it all up.
This supercedes so many Hollywood blockbusters in so many ways.
So many times overlooked as somebody who made a few crappy films which didn't get mass theatrical release, sadly Uwe has stopped making movies - when his movies - given the consideration of all things are actually pretty decent.
I find many to be just exceptional.
Bailout: Age Of Greed/Assault On Wall Street Rampage (series) Heart of America Darfur Tunnel Rats Postal
Ok, so Seed will never be listed as phenomenal - but neither will hundreds of thousands of other horror movies.
Even in his bad films, there is always something I enjoy. Some little thing that made his bad films special...some line, some effect, some special camera work.
They didn't have all be awesome, but the were awesome enough - even Seed.
Assault On Wall Street with it's approach was just wicked - and all those who posted a 1 or 2 are just idiots - because you know as well as I do - that there are so, so, so many movies out there which aren't even as close to good as anything that Uwe's worst movies are.
Uwe Boll rocks - and if he continued making more movies - you would know why.
I would rather watch an Owe Boll movie any day then another Transformer or Superman, Batman, Ironman, Thor, Captain America. Marvel/DC comic adaption of some over-hyped garbage.
I want more Uwe Boll movies - not schlock like the last 25 years of remakes which are worse than the one before it.
The Contract (1999)
Bad action, bad plot, bad everything
What is good about this?
Lying in bed and it's a rainy cold day. I'm watching The Contract - and aside from another lame hit-man movie - it's not anything near exciting, mysterious, interesting or even logical.
Though I'm no CSI technician, when they do decide to show up after the echoes of gunfire blast throughout the city, they will have multiple amounts of evidence to get prints and ID from.
(Somehow and it's still not explained how in any capacity - you can find out where an email comes from and trace it by using graphic code- whatever that means.)
There are multiple means of tracing email - but using graphic code is not listed anywhere as one of them. Not in any single website is there a way to trace an email using graphic code. Maybe you need to use Photoshop or Microsoft Paint to track an email - after all, that is graphic code.
Bad movie in general - like so many others.
Lousy writing and directing. How producers think they can make a decent film with stupid stories like this - still boggles my mind.
Waste your time and money somewhere else.
Cocaine Conspiracy (2016)
47 minutes in and it's still boring
I was looking forward to an interesting action movie - or at least a drama.
This had nothing.
It dragged on and on - with bad sound, bad camera work, choppy story and a lifeless energy that brings nothing to the movie.
After 2 years of release, this is it;s first review - and it's not even a decent one.
A boring story with little adventure or color.
It was a free watch, which made me want to read the news.
Not horrible, but not really interesting either.
I still have no idea what the story was about.
Syndicate Smasher (2017)
I gave it 2 stars
This was absolutely horrible.
Horrible in so many ways.
So why did I give 2 stars?
No, I was not drunk or stoned.
It was so bad, it was so horrible and so out of it in a non-sensible way and it was trying to be a serious movie.
There was no real direction that this was going - because it tried to be too much and ended up being nothing.
When it's that bad - and you realize this, but you still keep watching to see how bad it really gets - then well, you screw around with the rating system - just like the people did who worked on this movie and gave it all 10.
The others gave it 1.
To balance it out, I gave it 2- but in reality, it's worth 1.
