Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
A Fantastic mesmerizing and outstanding masterpiece.
This film was great. It is one of my favorite films so far. But the fact that many people was disappointed with this film and saying that it is Kubrick's least work just makes me want to protest. I just loved this film and I mean a lot. This film talks about sex-life and the darkness of it by telling the most beautiful and seductive but very creepy story. The art of masks and other things of this film was astounding and phenomenal. Nicole Kidman says (The quote isn't accurate)"Well, the important thing is that now we are awake". This one-line quote provokes many thoughts and motivates great imaginary. It is very hard to express why I adore this film so much. I mean, I know that I love this film so much but I can't just tell what point fascinated me. So I should say like this: Every single second of it was just mesmerizing and very beautiful. God, sorry that I can't just spit it out but gee, it is so hard to explain.
"Life must go on until it doesn't"
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
Remarkably Well-Made Horror Masterpiece
Gotta say that this movie was totally frightening and astounding! Many people might think that this film is just a trash because of the crappy remakes but trust me, this film is so well made, probably the best horror film after 1973s The Sisters (At least to me). Making you surprised by the loud sound effects are NOT scary. For example, your friend surprises you by pushing you suddenly or something like that doesn't mean that the friend is scary. Many modern films are like that. Just making you surprise by appearing suddenly. But in this film it's different. It creeps you out just by pure director's talent. See, Tobe Hooper truly has a talent. He is like a man born to make horror film which is the opposite of modern director who makes shitty horrors. It really will creep you out, not by surprising scenes but really scary scenes. How scary is it? A LOT. Actually this is the first film that I thought that it is scary enough. The last scene when the girl escapes from the creepy family, it feels like we had escaped from the nightmare which is very remarkable.
If you want to see something scary, and you really want to taste the true taste of horror, THE Texas CHAIN SAW MASSACRE 1973 IS WAITING FOR YOU!
This is a very epic Western film.
I've watched hell lots of western movies but I've never seen so epic like this. The Good The Bad The Ugly surely is a good film. No, good is not enough, great film. Frankly, I stopped watching this film after like hour later but after few months later, I re-watched the entire film and shame of myself, IT WAS A MASTERPIECE. Some people says that this film is really boring but I really doubt if they watched the whole film. The last battle scene was totally mind blowing. The editing was so well pasted and the musics by Ennio Morricone was absolutely good. The ending? So good. The best ending I've ever seen was Fight Club by David Fincher but this one was brilliant too. If you are hesitating to watch this film, just watch it. Pretty sure that you will not regret it.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
Un Predictable Amazing Film
Un Predictable Amazing Film. That is the only word to express this whole movie. It is almost impossible to predict every scene that is shown. For example when Trabolta (not sure with his name's spelling) carries Uma who was dying and goes to the guy who sold the drug, multitude of people would think that Uma would die and Trabolta falls in peril with the boss but guess what? They success saving Uma. And did Uma told the boss whole this? Nope, she kept her mouth shut. Did this scene affect the story? Not at all, everything is solved and actually this scene is not the final scene of the movie. It was just the part of beginning. But the most fascinating part is that in this movie the big story are pretty predictable but the little small story's elements are totally unpredictable. How is this possible? 'cause it is Tarantino's film! No respect for girls violence no respect for view's visual, he just make it the way he want to and that is the power that most of the directors can't have, that's the power of the bravery. YOU BETTER WATCH THIS AWESOME FILM AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!
One of my favorite movie
The reason why this movie is one of my favorite is because it's the same style with District 9. It is not easy to express the sf super power movie the way like that, but this one made it. A young director's creative idea had became well made movie. But of course, it is not well made than District 9, Chronicle is he's first movie ever made. I gave 9/10 but actually, 8/10 is enough. the reason why I gave 1 more score is because it was he's first movie, but he had made so good. CG was so great and story was 9/10 i guess. A normal teenagers gets a super power is simple story, but all the detail of life, super power, how they think is really good. Also, the movie has a feel that it is a normal teenager's home video. I like this movie and yes, it is well made to me I guess. I didn't got bored when I was watch this film. So I strongly recommend this movie, Chronicle.
