This movie was fun and interesting. But it contains an odd, ham fisted attempted slam against Christianity that makes little sense. Upon the sight of an alien, a conservative Christian woman abruptly turns athiest. I'm a Christian. I've also learned all about the facts of evolution at the Christian schools I attended. Just about every Christian I know thinks that the vastness of space inevitably contains extraterrestrial life. This is not at all incompatible with faith. It would have made just as much since if she had turned athiest on the sight of a vacuum or cheeseburger. I'm not sure why the writers of this movie thought that Christians would lose faith upon encountering extraterrestrial life. It comes across as forced and ignorant. It's an otherwise fine film. In fact, you are more likely to find a green pot smoking alien that has the voice of Seth Rogen than a Christian who loses her faith due to the discovery of alien life.

What? Huh? If you like movies edited so much that few scenes express cogent dialogue, Aloha is for you. Don't get me wrong. It's a beautiful. If I only watched movies while on mute, that would be fine. But since I expect a storyline, this was disappointing. I'm not sure how they got so many great actors involved in this movie. I can only assume that it was edited beyond recognition. It is filmed in a dizzying way, which would be fine if it wasn't during moments of dialogue. Characters aren't developed. Almost none of these characters make any sense. I really wanted to like all of them. And I can't. I wish I could have seen the unedited version. Because there is no way this story was written in such a confusing way.

This is an unfunny comedy with jokes that only miss the mark. If you like any of these actors--don't see this movie. It will ruin your image of them. It's like catching your Dad having sex with his secretary. You'll never respect him again. You'll just be glad when it's over.
The plot is nonsensical. The jokes are nonexistent. The actors are there only to pickup a paycheck. The writers had nothing to offer. No structure. No jokes. No care that the audience actually enjoy themselves. I feel robbed and I only paid $1.62 at Redbox.
Don't watch this movie with a friend. Don't watch this movie with a spouse. Don't watch this movie alone. Don't watch this movie.
