Disgusting.
13 February 2011
This movie is very sick and I wouldn't even recommend it for the hardcore sick and psychotic blood and guts fans. This movie had great potential, but squandered it. The story is very original in a sense it deals with some surgery to fuse three helpless victims into one being. It must have taken a very sick mind and a very sick man to develop this. The first part of the movie is pointless, its also crude in the way it begins. The whole intro is just meaningless filler.

You can hardly focus because nothing else is going on. There's no build up whatsoever, so your really just waiting for the people to get stitched together. But the movie has ways of pissing you off! Take for example the Japanese character, he cant speak English. So they give subtitles, that's great and all but my complaint is why would you put words for the viewers to read if they are already bored!? It makes little sense, the characters are all bad actors. They just scream and that's it. The two actress's are very annoying because all they do is scream and it annoys you after a while. The mad scientist is decent, you cant understand him half the time, and his motives are never really explained. The movie just throws everything at once at you expecting you to grasp every single concept of the characters.

The part where the doctor performs surgery is just sick and nasty, its incredibly pointless. Since it was never really explained why this man decided to stitch three people together, it really bothers you and makes you wonder why your still watching. I rated this movie a 50%, im being very generous here. I think this film could have been disgusting but a good blood and guts kinda movie. But that's simply not the case here. The only reason I can think of for watching this movie start to finish is for the sake of saying " I watched this movie". And I wont even go into the ending, its just that bad. Just stay far away from this movie and avoid it at all costs.

Disappointing.
13 February 2011
As we all know, Tom Hanks is just an amazing actor. But this would have to be my least favorite movie that stars him. I mean the whole beginning of this movie was interesting. But I have a few problems with the movie as a whole. First of all, the title. Very misleading, you do not really see and angels or demons for that matter, unless you count the angel statues towards the end of the movie, however one could take this movie title out of the literal sense to represent something else. But I do not see it. Now that that's outta the way, let me address the plot. So the plot of the movie was a tad interesting I must admit. Some of Earths most brilliant scientists have created a substance called anti-matter which if this substance were to collide with matter, then a huge explosion would take place. The story picks up as this vial of Anti-Matter is stolen and the container keeping the Anti-Matter from colliding with matter will stop once the battery life runs out. So that part was interesting, but as the movie progressed the plot became rather annoying. For example, the character the Hanks portrayed just came off as being "fake" and it was incredibly hard for me to buy into the whole thing. Now the character pretty much had all the answers in his head, he knew everything that progressed the plot. It became quite silly. This guy could figure out everything off the top of his head and just did not seem at all plausible. But overall this movie just could not deliver. It has an interesting story line...but that's about it. Tom Hanks alone could not keep this movie afloat, in my opinion this is one of his worst roles. I just saw the actor, and not the character. This flick could have used some more work, but what exactly? That I do not know. If you wanna see something that is a cheap thriller then check out this movie, or if you're even a hardcore Tom Hanks fan, it might satisfy you. But any other kinds of moviegoers out there, just avoid this film. Its really not worth your time. So this one gets a 40%. Hopefully Tom Hanks can make up for this one.

Just watch it for yourself.
13 February 2011
I could not believe how bad this movie was compared to the game. However I thought it was interesting, as in an interesting adaptation of the NES game. But the movie just could not hold up. It seemed to drag on for longer than it should have, and it seemed rushed. The intro is just wrong, it starts off as animated and the animation itself is jerky and scratchy. Then the film states that dinosaurs used to rule the world, which is true; but then it states the idea of the possibility of another dimension in which the dinosaurs thrived. Well that certainly was interesting, but it just did not feel like Super Mario Brothers. But then again I had to watch this movie with an open mind. So as we all know Mario is the older brother, and Luigi is the younger brother. The movie brought a good adaptation of the two but then the movie progressed.

I noticed how Mario wore a green jacket but had a red shirt, and also noticed that Luigi had a green hat, but a red shirt on. The colors just felt a little mixed to me. So then we meet Princess Daisy...well wait a minute, wasn't the point of Super Mario Bros. to play as Mario and rescue Princess "Peach"? It just astounds me how they could have messed that up. So more useless plot filler happens and then Luigi winds up asking Daisy out on a date, but not just a date a double date with Mario. Now I reveal this little bit of the movie for one main reason...Daisy tells the two brothers that she never really knew her family after being questioned by the rock around her neck. She also states that she was abandoned and left at an orphanage. So then Luigi shocked goes into detail about how Mario has always been there for him and then he states basically that Mario had raised him and been his "Father", his "Mother", etc. It just blows my mind. So basically what this movie is claiming is that Mario and Luigi are not brothers, but Father and Son? This just is incredible.

Back to the overall movie, The Academy Award Winning Actor, Dennis Hopper played "Bowser" or King Koopa in this movie, and I have to say it was an interesting choice, but it just did not work for me. There is only so much Hopper could do to try to make the character work, but he just cannot accomplish this goal. Yoshi also makes an appearance but it was just a disappointment so I shall not go into that. All and all this movie is just a disgrace, its interesting I agree, but other than that, its awful. The perspective is just odd, and the characters do not portray the characters in the game even half as good as they should have. It just seems rushed and half-baked. This movie should have given us insight into the Super Mario Brothers, this movie should have been for the fans, and yet its just another failure. I do not recommend this movie at all, I do however recommend it for the fans, as they will be sure to get a kick out of it. Anyone else, just avoid this movie at all costs because it is certainly not worth your time.

Legion (2010)
6/10
A big let down.
13 February 2011
Legion brings forth a somewhat new perspective. Its setting is in a somewhat post apocalyptic era in which the city is deserted and little to no people are out. However a cop just happens to be on patrol and the story begins when he is possessed by "God' apparently. The angel Gabriel chooses to break away from God. The basic run down of the story is that an angel, who leaves the side of God because he has a plan to wipe out the human race due to his resentment for his own creation. A savior is born however, the very angels that God sends possess the humans and their sole mission is to kill this pregnant woman and her baby so that the human race is destroyed. The plot is quite interesting but overall this film just does not deliver.

The trailers for this movie basically showed all of the action within the entire movie. It leaves you feeling cheated, the whole movie is just talk that can get somewhat confusing if you don't pay close attention to it. The action scenes however are very impressive, my favorite part within the whole film is when the ice cream truck approaches the diner, and steps out and his arms and legs grow double their length and he attacks the stragglers. But this is ultimately cut short when he is shot, guesstimating his entire screen time was about 60-90 seconds which was a big let down. As the movie progresses you begin to think which isn't at all good. The movie just leaves your mind plenty of time to wander when it should be focusing on the movie. Towards the end of the movie, all of the characters that the typical movie viewer would become attached to die. This movie just continues to annoy you, but the actions scenes and creative plot line is really what gave this movie a 70% Overall if you have some time on your hands, and you want to see a decent movie this is probably the movie you're looking for.

Transformers (2007)
7/10
Hyped up.
13 February 2011
This movie was a decent adaptation of the popular Transformers series. Now this movie certainly was strong in the effects department but the actors looked like they were struggling at times. Despite all this, they still had a strong plot overall, along with an all star cast. The movie starts off with a young Shia LeBeaouf as Sam, his goal at this point is to get an A in every class to get his first car and ultimately make it in society. Along with Megan Fox as his soon to be girlfriend. The story starts off somewhat slow, the car he buys from the dealership just happens to be Bumblebee, one of the Autobots. The story continues further as Sam eventually finds out the truth about his car and the Autobots vs Decepticons. The plot holds tight to the original series overall. The different Autobots are all forming to defeat the Decepticons and take down Megatron. I would have liked to see Hotshot instead of Bumblebee but thats my opinion. The creators really made a great interpretation and adaptation of Transformers. I had a few problems with this movie however. Number One would have to be the weight of these giant machines. Throughout the movie they seem to movie so gracefully, like their weightless. Sure one could argue that there rocket propulsion to make them seem weightless, but still it bothered me a bit which cost this movie a few points. The other problem I had was the size of the machines. In the series they were not at that large except for Optimus Prime and Megatron, their size held their significance. However in this movie they were quite large. But despite all of this it was still a decent action flick and I strongly recommend it for all the fans because its just Transformers at their best. Enormous, loud, and entertaining. If your not a fan I still recommend it. Its a great action flick that wont disappoint with its great special effects. So I give this a 70% because it appeals to the fans and pulls in some new ones as well.

For the fans.
13 February 2011
This is purely a fan made movie, as it offered very little to anyone else but their fan base. It had its funny moments, it was stupid, but stupid funny. The main plot was the main characters Master Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad. It starts off in a bizarre desert setting and then begins with a bit of weird back story about the origins of the characters. I doubt the idea that the creators of this movie had were continuation. The ideas and history does not make sense at all and even to the true blue fans the plot is still hard to understand. However it was a fun little movie that had plenty of stupidity for teenagers to enjoy. There really is not much I can say about this movie, but it is worth a watch if you enjoy crude humor. The main idea of what I have come to understand is that the three characters have banded together to stop the Insano-Flex, and then to find their creator. More random and absurd characters find their way into the scenes as the level of organization just goes all down to hell. There is not really much justice I can do this movie, it is just one of those movies that you either like it or hate it. A movie in which you need to see to believe, and a movie in which is really made for the fans and a homage to the fans of the show. Overall it gets a 60% because its humorous but really made for the fans, so if your a fan I definitely recommend it, but if your not a fan just rent it off of Netflix for a night boredom and crazy stupid movements.

Underrated.
13 February 2011
This movie is a nice little twist to the classic vampire flicks. Its starts off from the get go into the action and the plot of the story. A very beautiful young women lands herself a nasty facial scar from a car accident. Devastated she contemplates suicide and then is mysteriously halted when a girl comes into the room to tell her that she knows of a way to fix her scar and make her beautiful again. Unknown to her the cure she receives may have possible side effects. This is the kinda Thriller/Sci-Fi kinda movie that is just really interesting to watch, the plot has a smooth foundation, and the actors are not bad either. If your a fan of vampires flicks, this movie may be a bit of an adjustment for you, but this is a more than decent flick that im sure many a person would enjoy.

This is really a movie you have to have an acquired taste for. It is slow at times, but the plot remains at ease. I would recommend it.

Troll (1986)
4/10
One of the worst films I have seen.
13 February 2011
This movie is pretty bad, but its okay for its time. Its pretty cheesy, but cheesy movies are not always bad. But in those rare instances, we have these boring and stupid attempts at horror movies. Let us asses this terrible flick. So it starts off with a new family moving into this apartment with a whole mess of crazy characters each with their own little quirks, we have the generic 80's man whose always looking for sex, the hunter and war veteran and so on. So surprising enough the movie starts off quick but without any explanation. The little girl goes into the basement to get her ball, and the movie just gives you the feeling that the Troll is going to try to scare you, and it tries to but fails. Without any explanation there is a flash and the Troll becomes the little girl. This movie has problems right from the get go. There is little to know back story on anything which is not always a bad thing, but this kind of thing needs a story to make some kind of sense. The whole plot makes almost no sense and you really have to pay attention in order to develop a basic understanding of this whole film. Now following this flick would not be so hard if it wasn't so boring. It does not really try to shock you or pump you up with the action. Its just there. A whole boring film. As the story moves along, which does take some time despite this being a somewhat short film. It gets to this point where one of the inhabitants is a witch and realizes the dangers of the Troll, she teaches the brother of the girl who the Troll has taken captive. Its the kind of story that you can expect. At this point the ending becomes very apparent, and a happy ending is in sight. Overall this movie is not entirely bad, the acting was decent and the plot was mediocre but I think with a little extra time and polishing this could have been an interesting cheesy little B movie that many could enjoy.

Blood Surf (2000 Video)
3/10
Ridiculous
11 February 2011
I chose to watch this movie on demand very late at night one day. The idea caught my attention, some adrenaline junkies looking for a thrill decide to chum the water in order to attract sharks to boost the extremes of surfing. But when a 30-foot Crocodile is thrown into the mix. Now I thought since this was in the year 2000 that there would at least be a cheesy animatronic, which really adds to the B horror movie appeal. However to my surprise, the Crocodile appeared in a clash of horrible CG. Now giving this film a 30% does seem somewhat generous but it was entirely for the originality of the plot. Another problem I had with this film was the incredible amount of problems and stock footage. The scenes would cut to swamp, to ocean to lake. It was horrible to watch them try to cover these flaws up. The scenery did not even seem to hide the fact that the backgrounds were incredibly different. Another little problem I had with this flick was the vast amount of topless woman. It was as if they popped their tops purely to please the viewers. This movie even uses the oldest of horror movie tricks, kill the females and give us a douche of a main character that just wont die until the end of the movie is close. And even towards the end the topless women still appeared. In one scene the two women who have made it all the way without dying flash their breasts and scream out "Fuck you Alligator". I had a major problem with that, first of all it's a Crocodile not an Alligator. The cast could not even get the right species correct. And secondly, why are they taking their tops off for an Crocodile. It makes little to no sense. Overall, this movie is bad, it's filled with holes all throughout the flick. It's not even worth viewing, there really is nothing that makes this movie worth watching unless your a horny adolescent who gets off by watching flat chested women take off their tops.

The Prophecy (1995)
5/10
Mediocre
11 February 2011
This movie was recommended to me and to my surprise and shock it was....mediocre. The story just seemed rushed and condensed, it was boring at times with below average affects. I was disappointed by this movie. Christopher Walken is the main reason this movie has a 50&. He was basically able to make this movie seem somewhat interesting. His performance was decent, to me it felt like he was trying for this movie to at least seem adequate. It shares some history from the Bible and among other things Angels. The methods that the Angels performed were disturbing, it just did not make any sense. The whole basis of the plot is, there is a man on this earth who was in the Vietnam war, he possesses the blackest soul on the face of the Earth. In order for the Angel Gabriel (Walken) to win this battle, he must take possession of this soul. However this event is intervened when another Angel seeks to end this war by protecting this soul. He then places it in a young girl named Mary. At this point the action begins. The actions scenes are small and hardly seem worth it. They are rushed and fast paced. It becomes difficult to realize what had just happened. The talking scenes are drawn out as well, you soon become bored easily. There really is no feel or atmosphere at all to this flick. As soon as you get somewhat interested in it, the movie ends leaving you feel left out. The ending was the part that bothered me the most. It just seemed like the director did not care one bit and slapped this ending on last minute. It really bothered me because of the lack of action and information. Overall this movie is decent, but not worth the time. If your a Christopher Walken fan, you will probably enjoy it, but if not chances are it will just be a miss on the awesome movie scale. So 50% for the squandered cast this movie has and for the dry action scenes.

Severely Underrated.
11 February 2011
Time to do this movie some justice. I really do not understand the harsh reviews toward this film, sure its a Japanese horror flick but what can you honestly hope to gain from watching this. I like to watch movies with an open mind, I suggest some people should really give this film another look. It starts off really without a decent explanation but you learn as the movie moves on which is good. The opening scene is just bold. That's all I can say. Maybe its the scene in which the cat is pulled under the water that irritated a lot of people. And rarely do you see animals die in a movie unless its one of those "Tale of a boy and his dog". *Old Yeller* But that's besides the point. This movie just goes balls out and kills this cat. Beautiful. Now after that the girl is killed, nothing special. But then the whole concept comes out, your phone rings but you get this weird ring tone and it freaks you out. Of course you don't answer it, but it doesn't matter because your still going to die. The deaths were very interesting, and you wouldn't even begin to see it unless you seen this movie before. Its one of those movies that you just have to appreciate. If you want a movie that has an original idea that deals with something that pretty much everyone has in this world, I'd definitely watch this. It freaks you out a little if something could actually posses your cellular phone. Check it out because its a decent film with decent acting and which earns this film a 90%

Lovely Animation.
10 February 2011
The Land Before Time is a great new original plot and idea that really turned out to be a big hit. This movie in my opinion is underrated, its a wonderful children's movie and really adds a whole new twist in the realm of cartoons. The plot is simple enough, a group of dinosaurs are taught that each of their species is the best and that they should not communicate with the other species. But then something happens and some dinosaurs die and the world around them begins to change for the worst. Many soon become separated from one another and then must put aside their differences and work together to find their families once again in the Great Valley. This movie is a great treat for the kids because it has dinosaurs and is widely popular with younger audiences. It even has subtle and not so subtle values in it as well. It instills teamwork, determination, and bravery. And by using all of those things, there isn't anything standing in your way. I love this movie and its just one of those original movies that grow on you. Its a heartwarming story and I highly recommend this to everyone who hasn't seen this movie. Overall this movie is great and develops the characters well and gives them each distinctive characteristics that you can relate to. I love this movie, and I know that kids will love the humorous moments and bursts of action.

The Secret (2006 Video)
6/10
Dull and boring.
10 February 2011
The Secret is an interesting adaptation of a novel entitled "The Secret". Its basically about a wide range of people from celebrities to just random people. Its not a thriller or a horror or anything else good. Just basically a documentary and a lesson to be learned. There isn't really a plot but its philosophical and does have a message. The whole idea is that if you want things in this world, then put those feelings into a positive feel. It also urges to stop worrying about the bad things that could happen to you. This really isn't a movie so there isn't much I can really say or review. Its worth seeing, but it does make you wonder about this world that were all on. So if ya like this kinda stuff and want your mind blown then this is the flick for you. On a side no I'd like to say that this is all about a theory based on a series of coincidences and misinterpretations. It is all basically what you believe in, and what it is exactly you are open to. As I mentioned, this really isn't a movie, so please do avoid it.

Interesting.
10 February 2011
Jimmy Neutron:Boy Genius is a great new film for the younger audiences. Its witty and humorous, and well enough for some older audiences. The whole plot is that Jimmy Neutron, a kid whose intelligence far exceeds anyone else in the entire town. He then sends out a message into space seeking for it to reach life out in the galaxy. As luck would have it, a group of aliens known as the eggyolkians have received this message and are now on there way to earth in order to capture the parents and feed them to their chicken god. Its entertaining and smart at the same time, the graphics are really nice for its time and the story line is a little far-fetched but its for the kids so bear with it. This movie has a good moral to as well as the kids learn to be careful what they wish for as they all begin to hate their parents. To their surprise they find that the parents have all vanished. But things take a turn for the worse as the children get out of hand and become sick from over eating and lack of care. They all go to the boy genius in hopes of him having a plan to find their parents. And so the adventure begins. Its a fun little treat for the kids and would keep them occupied for a while. Overall its an interesting film, if you got some younger people definitely give it a look see. Other than that you may not have the same kind of feel for it. But all and all I give it an 80%

Disturbing.
10 February 2011
What can I really say about this movie. The whole plot is crazy at best. It is original but insane. It starts off a little slow but it comes to a random scene which is the basis of the whole movie. A girl that is up late at night decides to take the subway, but there is this guy who has a meat tenderizing hammer with him in a suit. Unknown is the hammer to this girl however as she quickly begins to fear this man and begin to move to a different part of the tram. Out of nowhere the man takes this hammer and bashes her skull in going into slow motion. With this begins the tedious flow of The Midnight Meat Train. It shifts between the developing of the main characters back to the subway station. It doesn't really even explain why he's there or what his purpose is in killing these innocent random people but it sure looks cool! There's really not a whole lot I can really say about this movie, its interesting but it keeps you in suspense. But as the flick progresses you see the characters for who they are. The main character is a photographer and he lives with his girlfriend in that classic cliché of the man being afraid to commit. The girlfriend is pretty much just there, and she becomes important later in this film. As the photographer starts going on the subway later at night he notices strange things like the man in the suit with the brief case. He then witnesses him killing someone with the hammer and the weird, gory, crazy scenes begin. I wont spoil the ending for you, but for the record it really bothered me. But that's all i'm saying. If you can find it, pick it up give it a watch its worth it for the shock value and the weird and freaky parts are definitely worth it. I'm giving this one a 70% So yeah give it a look see.

The Ape (1940)

Karloff is mediocre
10 February 2011
Another decent movie by the famous Boris Karloff. It starts off with a bit of semi-action. The story starts out with a father, who turns out to be a scientist seeks a way to cure his daughter who his dead from the waist down. The circus also happens to be in town, and an ape who is unusually large turns out to be one of the inhabitants. It then takes a turn for the worse when a fire breaks out and the ape escapes. The story is interesting and deals with a scientist seeking a miracle cure through incredible means. The plot is a little hard to follow towards the end, but as always Karloff plays an incredible role and pulls off his title as a great actor. If you like Old-School thriller movies such as this, then I recommend this for you. If your not a fan of Karloff or even a fan of decent Old-School thrillers such as this one, then its best to just avoid this film.

Kangaroo Jack (2003)
8/10
Its decent.
10 February 2011
A somewhat original idea takes the stands, this movie is called Kangaroo Jack. Underrated in my opinion this movie is funny at times and is more kid friendly. Its one of those movies in which its stupid, but so stupid its decent. The story starts out slow in which we see our main characters meet one another for the first time. It turns out that they become life long buddies. As adventure soon meets them, they find themselves on a journey to Australia to deliver a package to a old friend of the step-father of Charlie played by Jerry O'Connell. The step-father is played by Christopher Walken, and Charlies lifetime friend Louis is played by Anthony Anderson. As the two venture through Australia, they run into a kangaroo and fear that they have killed it. Louis then gets the idea to dress up the kangaroo to make him look like Jackie Legs. But as it turns out the kangaroo is not dead at all and takes off with Louis' jacket containing the package. And so the plot begins, it starts off somewhat slow but does pick up. It has elements of slapstick and snappy one liners that add to this film's atmosphere. This movie isn't horrible but then again its not amazing. Its more for the kids, and reaches a very limited audience. This movie also slows down after a while and then winds back up and then winds back down. I recommend renting it. Overall this movie in my opinion is still underrated as it would appeal more to children than older audiences. Still this movie is decent. I'm gonna rate this movie with an 80% because of its wild cast and small bits of slapstick.

Avoid this one.
10 February 2011
Considerably one of the worst movies of all time. This film is bland and tasteless, you'll soon find it to be a challenge to sit through this movie. The movie starts off with a narrator simply explaining the story line, however the story soon cuts back to a woman whose coincidentally enough has just finished taking a shower. Without any warning or notice at all, hands reach from the side of the screen and protrude over her neck. The acting for this part is truly atrocious. It then escalates into a rape scene, but it happens off screen, and all that is shown is the bed shaking back and forth. This film suffers greatly from lack of character development. Never is the "Beast" shown for who he really is. Its only a sixty minute movie, but it can feel like an eternity for it to end. This flick also tries to edge in more plot by showing random action scenes. Its unclear of what is really happening and much at all can be said about this. The "Beast" is occasionally shown but only to kill of people in the most predictable way. There is no shocking scenes whatsoever either. Its almost as if they were trying to make a terrible film. As the story progresses further you'll begin to find yourself asking questions as this movie fails to explain any of them. I got this movie from a DVD box set containing fifty horror film classics of the early movie era's. I still have no clue how this flick made it in this set. But just stay clear of this movie at all costs, even if your a hardcore movie fan, its just brutal to finish. The ending is even worse as nothing is explained. It just ends abruptly. Possibly one of the worst endings I have ever seen. It basically ends with a rabbit near the "Beast" and it cuts to the credits. Overall, this movie could have been better simply through thorough character development and a much stronger plot. Just avoid this movie at all costs to save an hour of your life.

Simply Amazing.
10 February 2011
The Jungle Book is a Disney adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's collection of short stories. The story starts of with a back story of our main character named "Mowgli". We also meet the black panther known as "Bagheera". The plot is that a child has been found in the jungle and has been delivered to a family of wolves to be taken care of, but time passes and the other animals begin to see that he does not belong in the jungle, and that he belongs with the other men in the village. This idea soon becomes interrupted when another one of the main characters "Baloo" he flips Mowgli's world upside down and gives him a new feel on life. After talking to Baloo, Mowgli then decides that he wants to stay in the jungle and never leave his new friend. Disney brings a wonderful twist to the writings of Kipling, the animation is rustic and delivers that old time charm. The characters really do grow on you and you start to develop a connection to them as the story progresses further. The musical numbers in this movie are truly magical, and range among the greatest of Disney. From beginning to end the songs just get better and better. This movie is for audiences of all ages and is really a masterpiece to behold. Overall, this movie delivers a steady plot with lovable characters and memorable music. Loved it.

The Emperors New Groove is a great family film about an Emperor who has developed some habits along with a very rude personality. It starts of with the Emperor Kuzco voiced by David Spade who invites a simple peasant named Pacha whose voiced by John Goodman into his empire. He then tells Pacha that he must soon move out of his house and make way for Kuzco's new water park. Devastated Pacha soon returns home. Later that night the antagonist of the story Yzma voiced by Earth Kitt, invites Kuzco to dinner as a gesture of no hard feelings for firing her. Their plan however is to poison him, but Kronk voiced by Patrick Warburton grabs the wrong potion changing Kuzco from a human to a llama, and so the adventure begins. This is a great leap from modern day family films in which it chooses a lesser known piece of history dealing with the Mayans and Aztec people. Its a humorous storyline mixed with bits and pieces of action. The cast of characters are great and you also get a feel for them as the plot progresses. Kuzco and Pacha then become the two protagonist as they must put aside their differences and work together to get back to the palace. This teaches children valuable lessons such a team work and friendship and how important they really are. The style and music is great to, The Emperors New Groove really delivers and is a must see for the younger audiences. I give this film a 90% simply because of the originality and the wonderful storyline that this film has.

Ice Spiders (2007 TV Movie)

Interesting.

This movie is great. I first saw this on the syfy network and in all honesty I hate spiders with a passion. But this movie grabbed my attention and kept my eyes glued to the screen. It had an interesting plot whereas the spiders had mutated and adapted to the rather cold climate around them. The CG spiders are decent, there not that great but there not that bad, but when movies are on syfy, you expect it. But the plot and storyline and flow keep this flick alive. I was impressed. This movie also has a great choice of its cast in where you really get a little bit of a feel for them, but the acting performance is sub par so don't expect to much. If your a sci fi fan, then this is the film for you. But if your not just steer clear of it. It takes a little bit of analyzing to really appreciate this film. But it does make you wonder how if spiders were somehow able to adapt to this colder climate, then well your just going to have to view this movie for yourself. I give it a 90% for its decency with acting and CG animation. The plot is great to so really give this movie a try.

Its decent.

The Amazing Mr.X starts off a little slow but then starts to pick up some speed. Its a very interesting and unique old School type thriller. It has an interesting way of shifting the bar to subtle to making you guess what could possibly happen next. Although this movie can appear boring at times, it is a great opening into a psychological portal of the late 1940's. The actors also play their character roles with great feeling that also adds to the mystique of the entire film. Old School movie fans will definitely enjoy this intriguing thriller. Overall the movie is decent with some minor kinks in it, it lacks in the action department but the story plot makes up for this flaw. I definitely recommend this to any Old School Horror/Thriller fan.
