A must watch!

This film receives highest rating because of the creativity that its producer Antoni Malinowski is showing by making a production from a conference. And, of course, because of the importance of the selected subject.

It is very strange to see a film about a conference that is shot as a normal movie. If it was supposed to be just a movie it definitely should be a documentary movie. But this one is way too different. It is intriguing, moving, the soundtrack is great and most importantly - it is showing the reality and makes you think about it.

Guardians of the Earth is showing actual moment of the human history reflecting the urgent issue of climate change. This subject should be widely promoted and people should be motivated to take action of stopping it. Many people are already working in this direction but as the movie is revealing - there are other people that are benefiting from the conformity. There are examples such as the Ecological Manifesto, a text dedicated in changing people's thinking of the present and urging them to change their attitude. Laws of market include both - the demand and the supply which are correlating and mutually dependent.

Finally the film is piece of art that needs to be seen. And then it is up to you to promoted it further.

Imaginary fairy tell that takes place in an old gare of Paris.

The movie is about a magical journey of the young hood through the world of the elders. Unexpectet adventures come one after another in order to complete the story that is about to be told.

Like the clock in the train station the story goes its full spin and it ends on the place it begins.

Spectacular, amusing and interesting.

Deep and genuine, film about human honor and loyalty. Belief and faith. Showing the futility of military conflicts, their rudeness and callousness.

A film that deserves to be seen. In which we can see how important it is to be on the first human beings and secondly, supporters of any regime. A film that says a lot more about itself when viewed. Tales of sacrifice and willingness to sacrifice someone else (which I leave with absolutely no comment because of the absurdity of justifying such behavior).

I raise the rating of this movie, I admit it. And I will explain why. And please, don't pronounce me a Tom Hanks fan because I write reviews for a lot of his movies. He is quite good, I say only this.

While being not so much deep in the beginning and finally turning out a drama with a happy ending, this movie is showing us a different culture that we know nothing about. I am not familiar with other movies that are being shot in this country and show cadres from the places in it. Maybe for the people that have encountered different cultures this movie will be more interesting.

The movie is amusing and in the beginning funny but as the time goes it shows us what is on the back of the protagonist. What is on the back of most of us. It shows that we have to transmit good vibes to the others, to motivate them and feel good with whatever we do. And finally we go where we have belonged during our life.

So it is a quick pick, easy to watch and interesting.

We can not overlook this title because of the admiration we feel for these two directors. And when we understand that it comes about also for a book our respect has already risen to the highest possible extent.

Documentary filmed tape showing the desire of Truffaut to get acquainted with the great Hitchcock.

Ultimately, both directors meet and they develop a friendship. To a large extent this unusual relationship influenced Truffaut in his future work.

As analysts of the films of Hitchcock are invited legends in the film business as Scorsese, Linklater and many others. If you're a fan, do not pass by this title.

This film is a photographic and anthropological insight into human nature. It tells us many stories. For example, that one in which people run instead of walk. Or that in which people live above the clouds or that about people who can play a musical instrument and does not meet the need to work a day. The landscapes are changed one after another - deserts, glaciers, tropics.

The tape has a deeper part - we find communities that need to use the services of consultants for the use of second-hand coffins. Those who are fleeing genocide, hunger, thirst and lack of natural living conditions. For a moment we touch the cruelty of humanity, which surprisingly, lives quite close to us - both in time and in space.

The only thing that is constant in the film is the magical view of life that the photographer Sebastião Salgado has. The story goes retrospectively in the direction opposite of Darwinian evolution in terms of emotional and intellectual development. However, the movie remains a "love letter" from Salgado to mankind and nature, which gives us at the end the needed dose of positivism with which to start acting on things that depend on us!

I give such an evaluation of the film because of its potency to make people humble and make them think more than usual. Notwithstanding the possibility of pure propaganda in the service of one's interests, any film of this kind can not be deprived of valor because it is showing how important it is protecting nature - our home, and shows us that with our everyday choices and decisions we influence globally to everyone and everything else.

Thanks to movies like this one the stereotypes are becoming more clear. It shows how they are exposed and visible especially for the life in the cities. Instead of paving new paths people prefer to go with the flow. Without improving the consequences of their actions, people do not even think about them. They hardly link the environment and the interests of large corporations.

For the first time the viewer is provided with new data and is shown of the precise consequences that will occur in the earliest stages of global warming. Which, by the way, has already begun. Let's hope that the colonization of Mars will lead to a second leap in human development since the discovery of America and will point the right direction for it.

Perhaps one of the most essential films of DiCaprio. Last but not least, seeing Leonardo playing himself is also an interesting moment of the film.

National Geographic comes as a guarantee of the quality of the film strip which is presenting lots of beautiful natural sceneries.

Bikes vs Cars (2015)

Natural Life vs. Business
7 October 2016
I do not hide my personal bias towards the subject. I travel by bike everywhere - to the university, to work, to the shop, I ride it for sport.

Like Super Size Me, Food Inc. and What the Bleep Do We Know, Bikes vs Cars is a movie that will make you reflect on your worldview. Exiting the conventional is required here. The themes of technology, ecology, progress and policy pops up in front of the viewer giving him a lot of new information and putting him before the choice of how to live his life.

Divided into several parallel developing parts the film takes us into the world of people who ride bicycles, lead an environmentally friendly way of life and fight for their right to freedom on the roads. What future we have to choose and do we have the opportunity to do it fighting automakers and construction companies.

How long are we going to live in this paradigm?

Movie that can be pointed as the first watchable two-hour action. Because back in 1933, when it was created, it was very special creation of the film industry. It offers us convoluted crime drama in the style of Hitchcock. It has everything - love story, an evil genius, fraud for millions and car chase.

Dark and gloomy conception of evil villain has gone full circle from the beginning of the film stripping all the way to the very end which in no way differs from the beginning except exchanged roles of some of the main suspects. The truth also is undergoing its metamorphosis decides to take the hand of love, to come out openly and repent for its present silence. The eternal asking justice vigilantly monitor compliance with the order and manages to instill fear among criminals.

After a long pursuit, in which perhaps the first time we see the clear expression of the German brand Mercedes, where, incidentally, is this film coming from, pieces of the puzzle intervene for the last time, this time - correctly.

The tape also has an interesting history - having been damaged, the movie was forbidden, and finally becoming available to the modern spectator.

This film deserves appreciation because of its importance and actuality of the topic that concerns. This film has also its high rating because without having a high claim for performance, it manages to rise above a number of titles that have such claim.

Before our eyes it is revealed the true story of a boy seeking refuge and his beloved in Europe. With the price of all his efforts, if somewhat naively, he tries to implement custom solutions for the situation in which he is. Right from the start of the film we can discern the different way of thinking that he has and brings him to the fore front of all the others who expect only outside help.

The film shows us how strong the power of love is and what are the true values in life. These values can not be given by chance but should be adopted as an internal ideology and its external appearance. Like all motivational films, telling about people who overextend themselves and reach the unattainable, this film goes to its "happy ending", to the point when we are reminded that real life is harsh and bitter and not everything happens like in movies.

Therefore, this film I present as inspiration for giving personal example and constant feuding with injustice. Humble but strong, such as many others people, this is a movie for all those who need our help.

Despite the relatively low valuation that we put to this headline writing about this film is worthwhile. At the moment when the cliché of the young scientist with comprehensive bizarre but brilliant intellect was broken by explaining the personality of the protagonist (like who he was in fact), the film makes sense, albeit seriously reminds us of a previous title on the same topic.

It is important to note the film because of the history it represents. Because of the strength of the protagonist to live with the hope that it will deal with every obstacle which he will face. Because of the love that is able to give such power and to multiply the good. Truly understanding that life is a struggle and that the more you fight, the more you distance yourself from the bad and the possibilities of failure is a state of mind typical of big and powerful people. Although they might not look exactly like this. The constant effort to reach the wave in the end leads you in the dock of a lake placid waters of happiness. And there is where all your previous existence gets its meaning.

Therefore, we will counteract the physical forces and not let ourselves be sucked in by a black hole. We will strive to expand the universe and we hope that you will follow us in your personal example.

Although it presents a purely historical events in the life of Gandhi, this film introduces us to the exceptional amount of archival footage, recorded both - much of his life and an important period of human, contemporary history.

The very personality of the protagonist of the film deserves tons of written text. His profound wisdom, his childish humility, pure-heart desires for India and all humanity to live in nonviolence - peace, community, conflict-free, are not common virtues in people. Furthermore, gathered in one human being is rare event, which is unlikely to be repeated soon afterwards. The life of Mahatma (e.g. a great soul) Gandhi raises inspiration in people like Charlie Chaplin, Romain Rolland and Albert Einstein. Gandhi himself is trying to prevent the first events of World War II, writing letters to Mussolini and Hitler asking them to follow his peaceful way. But alas, the monsters do not have ears to hear his appeal.

"My life is my message," said Gandhi. We do not see anything different from the historical footage of this documentary to which every self-respecting humanist should devote five hours - a rare length of a film strip.

Okay. Because of the perspective of every idealistic person and mostly because this movie is based on real historical events it should be also presented here. Yes, the world has the need of such persons, regardless of age, gender, nationality. The final explanations in the film can best explain this.

About that the highest human nature does not recognize propensities and is capable of creativity. Often transcend the established order and shines above it, although we know many cases where it remains neglected, gray and misunderstood.

About the nonsense that we have caused to ourselves some time ago, and are still trying to inflict. About complete rethinking of our values. About the price and the meaning of human existence. About farsightedness and nearsightedness, which in both cases are defects, equally different world views.

About the cult of personality, but also of the way that it is displayed. More decently for the one who receive himself as surpassing it will always be better if he is modest and non-woven. I.e. it may be added further quality and quantity to be removed. About that books remain better than the movies (with very few exceptions).

This movie deserves appreciation because of the humility with which reveals the general nature of the human being. It shows how one person can cover a whole phenomenon driven by the desire to deliver truth to the rest of humanity.

The film shows the constant struggle between man and nature, but we are also reminded of their unity and interdependence. There are moments in which nature must be overcome and such in which nature should be helped and supported. Human and natural world are not two different things. They are unified whole.

Before our eyes is developing one of the most important philosophical themes - that of the circle of reason and nature. The film is particularly relevant along global conference in Paris devoted to climate change. Without being intrusive, it attracts. With no lavish effects, it has the most beautiful scenes. Without conceived deep intrigue, it sent one of the deepest questions of life in our real daily existence. That is the question about the fate of the future of mankind.

It is tribute to photography, to human bravery, to human visionary and to the good part of the human nature.

I did not intend to write about this movie, but because I like variety, I changed my decision. So, in the meantime, we make slight deviation to see what happens in South Korean cinema, which shows us a simple story of an ordinary serial killer in an ordinary village. So true story that proves to be a true story.

Evil, black, dragging innocent people, investigating murders towards itself and terrorizing the entire community for years. Slowly and methodically makes its steps, leaving the most important traces - those to itself. We can say that the film presents serious lives of the detectives who give everything they love to catch the killer. Tells about the world we live in - the public world in which any gift to possess recognition of good and bad people we have, have no chance to conclusively say who is good and who is bad. Privacy creates new limits, inaudible to everyone else. It is drama when there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

The finale is the most interesting because it blurs the created image crashing it to the infinite mass of ordinary people we meet everywhere. At first as a joke, without special effects, the end catches us by the hand and leads us in our future days, which will experience knowing one truth that we saw only by its traces.

I recommend only to the curious and patient ones.

One of the few Chinese movies I've seen. A strong start to а whole festival dedicated to modern Chinese cinema - The Third Cinema or the cinema striving to implement social change.

No special effects, no cities and groups of characters, nothing modern. Only the time at which develops the film. However, innovative techniques of shooting, incredible sense of human nature and outcome. It shows the basics of human existence - nature as home of humanity and the family as a social and cultural evolution. Ties that exist in life of everyone but are sensed on different levels. It is also specified the meaning of authentic human existence - in harmony with nature and respect for the past generations, because even the youngest imperceptibly become outgoing generation. It is their turn to take responsibility "being alive" for ourselves and for others.

On places could be seem the presence of the Idea that holds this great nation throughout and makes its progress successful. Pierces principal links promoting its sustainability as a whole. It is possible to be build a gradation in the direction of the modern city as evidence after our line passing through small worker villages, larger villages and the city where the business is concentrated.

For the bridges that we build continuously in the world around us. Very green and hitting the authentic humanism that is not based on anything but alone is a reason for everything. The relationship between father and son, and the difficult dialog between them. The place of the women and the mothers in the Eastern culture. An unpredictable journey, far different from the stereotypes of action and a happy ending.

The film was a surprise. Large and pleasant. It is in part like the movies about teachers that educate rebellious students, but the story exceeds and reveals the need for us to be masters of our own lives.

But when it comes to man with a good soul who does not intrude its existence to anyone, then it becomes more complicated. At the same time the vices are superimposed, the burden of the past and the passion.

Highly entertaining, innovative in the way of shooting, the film tells of life's journey which is not only out in the world but also within ourselves. And only when we get to the spring within us, then we can go down the river and go beyond us. As young people the adults need help and guidance. Everyone need to survive the inclinations in order to establish his life. As for the adults it is still difficult, what is for the young who suffer from the scourge of the "porn, drugs and alcohol", living an empty life with banal jokes? Response to this question is not entirely situated in the movie, you have to look around you for it, constantly. The answer is in the constant shaking of life's swing between freedom and responsibility, love and independence, good and material.

Watch this movie!

Meanwhile. This film shows us what we are doing with together, right now. Starting from the final person who is hit and ends with the only one, guilty in creating that affecting phenomenon. A film that captures the viewer from the beginning and does not release him until the end. You could say that is an action (there were dynamics and shooting guns) or fantasy (superheroes and special effects) movie; it can be described as far more courageous approach of Linklater's (Waking Life) movies and similar to Synecdoche, New York - whatever definition you give it, it will diminish, because it really manages to fly over all definitions.

Shows the intertwining of life and work, shifts from the first to the second and vice versa. Acquaints us with stage fright before major events in our lives and looking for a place of privacy in the modern, public, virtual life. Shows what is doing and what is sitting on the sidelines and watch. Passes through the development of individuals and traces the stages in which they are located.

Understanding of criticism (poor vilified by Flaubert), which can be justified with saying that criticism is philosophically demarcation of what is criticized, but, we agree, it happens in ready structures and cold concepts. But it remains below, in the low, irrelevant for the outspread wings high above it.

A must see movie.

As I stared at Picasso, he stared at me the same way. But let's not start browsing the newspaper by reading the sports news. This is the last film of Cocteau, film, marked by the built in time style and it constitutes a legacy of Orpheus, the way it is will or inheritance, if you will, of the director himself.

As the third part of the trilogy, it is the walking of a full circle in the human being done in two ways - on a personal level, from childhood and the first life, old and last life and historically, from mythology to science and modernity. On foreground is the idea of the fateful moment in our existence, the intersections of our past, present and future existences, still seeking their own sense separated from one another, and the constant questioning of the miracle of the human presence. Poetry and science, holding hands, are grinding up to interfere in the mysteries of the mythological story. Their results are not greatly productive, but they are and give comfort to those who have been vocated to them. We are shown the most severe a burden and that is to being a judge of others and instead of indulging in space-time, to get security logic and predictability. Somewhat Kafkasian, those who stand before the law, are waiting their trial. The director shows his ability to see the development of different actions and characters in a long time plan, and also provide his place into them.

The development of action shows us that more important are the desire and ability than the effect and power of cash rivers. To such titles we can turn only to sigh, because they are uttered as pieces of rock of the time and the history of cinema that are long forgotten and kicked out of the way of modern man that took a sharp turn, passing them with their topless cars.

This isn't a typical animation movie. It is deeply connected with the Bulgarian daily life and traditional heroes. It is very funny and amusing.

It presents very odd and creepy main characters going for a long vacation full of pleasant and unpleasant surprises. One is sure - the viewer is always amused.

This cartoon gravitates over the themes for true self, working for other interests, true love, true friendship. It is something like The Simpson Family or South Park but I find it way more intelligent and funny. Of course there always will be people that do not understand it and say they do not like it. You can easily find the seasons of the cartoon which are totally free and find for yourself if you like it or not.

We've seen movies about hotels - beginning from the distant thirty years, and getting to one of the titles of Tarantino. But I must admit, a film about the hotel dedicated to the writer I had not come across until now.

Dynamic, humorous, theatrical, fantastic. The plot is about the history of a building, which embodies the history of the 20th century. Actually, these are hard times affecting all of us; that shaped modernity. "The past is not over, in fact is not past at all", who said that? Film that shows when high manners are in place. Namely, when they are from kindhearted and benevolent people. When politeness is a manifestation of humanity, and we are all people, but we are not all polite. On a pedestal were elevated loyalty and long lasting friendship. Below all this, there are the small details that are the glue of our society. Their presence is not a question of luxury, it is an indicator of a highly developed culture. Alas, their disappearance shows only savagery.

A polite criticism of the worst part of human nature, served delicate and serene. Film like that, from the past year (let us remember - century passed since the beginning of the First World War) is a great achievement. Resembles the films inspired by the writings of Agatha Christie and The Artist.

Movie which I found by Woody Allen. Movie, that is more ideas than acting and directing. Movie, surrealistic (what a word!) and with this Spanish film director I mark our future goal.

I prefer to accept the story as theoretical setting, presenting the bubble of happiness of the rich class in society - the so-called "elite" who never gave up their status and would not admit it to someone lower. Which has amazing, but genteel, tact, dialogue and decency. Elite, whose enemy is his own members.

Placed under force majeure circumstances, its representatives are ready to strip the clothing of pretence and show their essence. Before they reach the lowest point in their moral degradation they will go through disregard of age limits or gender differences, violation of art, arrogance, egoism and savagery. Instead of looking for a way to save themselves (understand the world), they stare at each other (like different countries), seeing enemies into each other and are ready to kill each other. In this headlong fall, they quickly recall despicable habits that would attribute to ordinary people's daily needs - they are enjoying the water like champagne. They are able to even eat paper (which I never thought about) indicated by the servant in the film. And what else can be shown in the removing of their elegant shell when they are bored with life, feel inner hate for him, show coldness of empty man, are lost in fashions (e.g. shaving men's legs) and hate the so-called refinement.

In such a society salvation find only the dead, lovers, scientists, those who take opium. Outside this society one can be lonely beast, or being an innocent lamb, he immediately would be harnessed to the needs of the elite. This whole farce would not end if eventually they have not reach their greatest meanness, only then the memory of its former heights would rise and to make way for the opportunity to sort out the real worth of the human existence.

Perhaps the question why we see this happening is irrelevant. Maybe the right question is how long we will allow to happen?

This is the second film for which I hinted in the previous post. Film, with clearly defined idea surrounded by many dissolving in the absolute under topics. The place is Germany, and that we are looking at is humanity. Often forgotten fact is that the German title of the film translates in The Sky Over Berlin.

Modern in the way of shooting and framing, as well as posting the shades of post military discourse. Themes of alienation, withdrawing and loss of sense. The transition of life from eighty years ago, the appearance of the first two cars in Berlin, devastating destruction that follows the subsequent development of technology and to the construction of the wall (which fall the director anticipates two years earlier).

Here again we see where lies the spirituality of humanity and who are the people who have a relationship with her. Despite the existence of all these people, misfortunes and accidents occur. And the last time the echo is huge.

The task of the angels who protect us is to find sense in every human being, in every touch on a subject, inhalation of cigarette smoke, feeling of cold, especially the element of love, which transmits the whole world in the life of two lovers, providing continuation of the flight on the wings of the desires of the human race.

Talking specifically about this title we should mention first the serious part, which I see in the deep commitment to God's Word. It is not by chance that the time in which the action takes place is the Middle Ages - as if the only intelligible world of man then was then religious one. And I must mention the burdens finale in which death refers all.

Indeed, the theme of death is also central and serious, but as in life - to her we give our last thoughts. The action starts on the beach (a symbol of transition to infinity or origin of life on earth), where the main character causes death, that came for him, at chess. The idea is to win some time to buy someone else's life.

Death is presented as a mystery, as the deadline which is pressing and tormenting our conscience. It is difficult to find higher instance before which the protagonist to kneel, to feel guilt. The only time he decided yet to do so, it appeared that confession was before death. So it turns out that actually the manifest was in front of himself, but in his last hour (death).

Here eminence is given into the hands of intelligent people and artists, then the religious and finally to the ordinary people. The plague rages in the Middle Ages putting to test the faith of believers and asking questions about the meaning of human existence. However, there are many rays of light, saved young lives, there are people who happily lived their lives. Such people exist today and there will always be.

A playful Bergman film which is for true connoisseurs of cinema.

Making small time jump (which will be covered in time) in the study of the films of Kurosawa, we fall into one of his already colored films. Indeed very motley, perhaps one of the first compilations of short films sampled together. Naturally the film has complete effect directed far into the future of humanity, revealed by the last dream that is presented to us.

Through dreamy and innocent world of young children, wandering young man, all the way to the wise centenarian; through perpetual motion of life resembling river, the gaze of man encounters with the people around him. He remains defenseless and fragile - what his nature is in fact - but loving enough to think about others, nature and the future generations.

Through the black and white mountains, enchanting forests, paintings of van Gogh (my most favorite painter), the village of mills, and to the horrors of past wars and accidents with nuclear energy, the most pressing environmental issues of post-modernity, dreams tell us the story of a man who may have billions of faces, who at some point may become presumptuous and start to live at the expense of others. The wise old man asks us - how smart scientists are when they can not understand the heart of nature? With their discoveries and creations they cloud the thinking of the people, which pollutes not only nature but also their hearts.

So dreams have a strong message from the director, and are his call to humility and listening to the harmony of the universe, because it brings us peace, quietness, kindness and love. And the man does not need nothing else. A story told to us by the sensitive father of cinema.
