Animation is horrendous.....
I know it's a mid 2000s anime but I don't care. However I do care that the animation was painfully slow and it feels like I'm looking at an anime as a joke than taking it seriously. Characters are pretty dull and story plot is just dead.
Yeah if you like this anime go ahead but not for moi!
Cool Mecha series
Yeah this anime was pretty entertaining and well done. Funny enough, even if the animation is unattractive because of its age, it still had the charm of being eye catching for some reason! It's probably because of the cool fights and the designs of the robots maybe? Heck it's hard to know...
Anyways the English dub cast were great, especially when the robots were singing to show off their badass powers and the story was oddly interesting. I wa even glad to see a satisfying ending to which you're just gonna have to see for yourself ;)
It's a pretty alright anime but dang emotional!
Seriously when the dog died on the last episode, I nearly cried. I think someone found me weakspot lol.
I thought the anime was good like it was interesting for a change to see lolli school girls surviving for their lives in their own school during the zombie apocalypse . Each character was pretty likeable in a way. I wish we could've got a better ending where everything goes back to normal but instead we got a cliffhanger of some zombie infected chick looking at Yuris drawing.
That's all I'm gonna say, this anime is actually worth the watch if you have no other anime to think of watching next!
Roringu garuzu (2014)
Pretty colourful but plot is rather weak...
I honestly thought the whole anime was pretty colourful but it didn't have the capacity to include an interesting plot. I felt the scenes was dragging on and uninteresting. I will say that the character Masami was better than the rest of the characters and would rather prefer her to be a main character in this anime. I think having her in the corner as a supporting character was a mistake that couldve been easily fixed. Colleen Clinkenbeard was a great pick for her.
It's just too bad this anime didn't satisfy me all the way by not having much potential to impress me...
Cat's Eye (1983)
Just didn't like it :/
Opening song wasn't catchy enough to get me attention
Characters just weren't interesting
Even though it's a 1980s show, it looked like more like a cheap kids show than a serious Charlies Angels type of show...
Girls und Panzer (2012)
English Dub cast is good and art but not the whole thing...
Really the story goes is about groups of school girls just riding on tanks which honestly felt boring for me to even watch further than episode 1. It could've been better if it already tried.
I do suggest to others of this anime though if they like tanks but if they really want to see a serious plot, this is definitely not one of them...
Tetsuko no tabi (2007)
Worst "non fictional" anime I've watched
The animation is horrible, characters weren't likeable and the plot just sounded mediocre. Only the sub voice actors did a better job but this anime just doesn't know how to function properly to being a good anime....
Log Horizon (2013)
Character designs are good but I found the whole thing rather boring...
So after watching "Drifters", I felt like watching another well received isekai series and this anime was one of them on my watchlist. This was the time to watch it!
I thought the main characters designs were good like the art was good. However the story just didn't move me at all, instead it bored me to tears. The English Dub cast weren't that bad at all but needed work too. I thought some of the voice actors who voiced some of the characters didn't match what type of voice they are required to do. However the plot bothered me more because it did have that potential to be a pretty decent isekai out there like Drifters,Overlord, Reincarnated as a Slime and Shield Hero.
Yeah it's just a bummer that it's not joining my best isekai anime list...
Very very good isekai battle anime and I just love the art too!
Just as my review says, this anime is definitely one of the most decent ones I've ever seen in a long time. Art is splendid, comedy was funny and English Dub cast including Josh Grelle as Toyohisa did such a well done job with every badass character you can find and storyline was top notch.
This is one of the best isekai series to watch folks, seriously!!!!
Quite a surprise seeing a music movie on Youtube
What I mean there is the last time I've seen an artist doing their own movie with their own music was Daft Punks "Interstella 5555". I have seen Melanies face somewhere before but I haven't properly heard her songs. Then I saw K-12 being advertised on the Youtube trending page last night and I just instantly clicked lol!
The movie was quite interesting like you feel like you're watching a mix of Tim Burton, Stephen King and Disney but for adults. The costumes were nicely done and colourful especially the old fashioned big dresses they had in the 1800s (I guess?) .
The songs were quite good like I thought "Drama Club" and "Orange Juice" were quite catchy then the rest of the songs. Most of the songs were quite a hit or miss but those two songs definitely stride my alley lol.
I wish this film didn't have a cliffhanger. It's probably an indication that there will be another movie like this. Although it's hard to know but yeah the movie is pretty good. Give it a watch!
Not great but okish....
As much as the anime had a good voice cast and the animation was pretty nice even for being a mid 2000's anime, it just didn't make me intrigued to keep watching it. I just thought the characters in this (not the actors) and the storyline were just dull. I know this is a weak review about it but I have nothing more to say...
This is pretty funny and does put you to sleep with Kensho Ono's voice!
Seriously his voice is so smoothing man. The only main reason I got to find out about this anime in the first was because I was looking for a relaxing anime to help me sleep (yeah summer break is an insomnic time for moi). Also of course, it was shown as a #1 spot included in the headline "7 Soothing Anime You Should Watch If You Want To Fall Asleep" on the Animemotivation site. It's really great to find hidden gems on different anime related site's!!!! :D
Anyways Tanaka is the sort of person that you wish you were him. The dude gets away with everything that he doesn't wanna do. I'm pretty jealous of him since he doesn't care about anybody or anything else that might obstacle him. He even has a friend Ohta who cares deeply for him! Man he's treated like damn royalty here !
Anyway it's a pretty good show if you do need a bit of sleep and have some laughs without it being too serious like some anime is. Heck I even applaud the sub actors including Ono's voice for doing such a great job!
Natsuyuki Rendezvous (2012)
Like the other reviewer, I didn't like the ending either....
I hated that the fact that the husband had to say an official goodbye before he went up to heaven. It nearly me cry but the same time for me watching this anime, it was emotional.
The only thing I was not happy about from this anime was Hazuki getting a haircut because of the husband wanting him to have clean cut while swapping his own soul for Hazuki's borrowed body. C'mon man leave his hair alone! He honestly looked so much better having his hair a bit long than a bad cut short hair.
I still would recommend this anime to everyone who wants a good cry and get the realistic feel of what it's like to lose your partner.
Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku (2015)
Urgh wish "it" could've happened in this anime... *spoiler alert*
What I mean by "it" is the fact there was no kissing involved in the end and I was always rooting for the main characters (Eruna & Seisa) atw. I wish it concentrated on them soley rather than the other characters. I found them incredibly irritating, especially the cousin who keeps clinging onto Eruna and can't stop bragging about getting married to her. You're in the wrong anime bro...seriously lol...
I liked the animation, the main girl (the cat was cute too) and the sub actors. That's all I'm gonna tell you....
Hip Whip Girl: Keijo!!!!!! (2016)
Never expected to enjoy it but heck I did!!!
Funny enough sometimes with me when it comes to over excessive fan service, I feel like I wanna drop the anime altogether! Whereas this anime, I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy it in all honesty! I suppose both me and the anime are pretty much intertwined lol.
Anyways I suppose it comes down to characters too as well as the story. I really liked the English Dub of the anime, like they picked the best women cast and I like the fact we get to see a bit of masculinity in some of them too. Seriously I would like to see more anime girl characters having a masculinity side as personally, I feel it's pretty slim in the anime world.
If you don't want to see body parts being used as a sport, I wouldn't recommend this anime. Although I thought it was alright because I felt the hype of the anime helped me to enjoy the viewing experience. I'm gonna give this anime a 8/10 ^^
Sirius the Jaeger (2018)
Good to watch if you're bored but don't expect too much outta it....
Plot and character development are a lot too predictable. It's just really about vampire hunters hunting vampires which there's nothing more it can offer. The only positive thing about it is the gorgeous animation unlike any modern anime I watch....
Yosuga no sora (2010)
It's rather boring than cringy
I necessarily didn't mind the incest but same time, it did drag on and it's kinda the same where the main guy gets a group of girls each like a typical harem ecchi shows.
The voice actors are good but plot could be improved if there was more emotion added onto it...
Ghost Hound (2007)
Very Boring and bland
Art is horrible, characters aren't that great and storyline just seems all over the place. Yeah I'm glad I skipped watching the whole lot...
Stunning anime to watch that involves interesting characters!
I'm glad to have watch this anime finally like I'm so impressed with Ufotable's "Demon Slayer" with its fantastic sub casts, characters, art graphics, fighting scenes, storylines, you name it! So why wouldn't I be impressed with Fate\Zero too?!
Honestly man, the fight scenes in this are pretty dope if you ask me. The best fight I've seen in this prequel show was when Saber and Kiritsugu fought together first. Even hearing Kari Wahlgren and Matthew Mercer's voices were just 10 thumps up from me, both are just great voice actors!
I really wish the whole thing was a movie rather than having it at 13 episodes because I find it would benefit better. Although it didn't bother me since I just admired the whole thing as a distraction from that frustration. Guess I gotta watch season 2 and see the original in that case when I get the chance.
Definitely check this anime out squad!
White Album 2 (2013)
Started really well but the characters and plot were kinda meh after all
One positive about this anime is that the music and animation in this anime were absolutely cool. However it's main character lad is pretty much a dull who belittles the girls for their talents and the whole plot sense was pretty predictable as a high school romance story.
The only reason why I skipped the first White Album series is because of the sequels high rating and heard a lot of good reviews about it so here I am! Seriously if it was a heartwarming story, I wouldn't be complaining here but all I can't complain is the music and animation as I said already...
This horror made me blood boil lol!!!!!!!!
Honestly this is definitely like realistic horror. I can't imagine how frightening and stressful it would be if a group of young brats trespassed on my property and started attacking me. Also the law wasn't at all helpful to the couple, it made my blood boil when they said "oh well elderly people are too weak and gonna die anyway". I swear I would've punched that policeman face lol. Unfortunately the justice system is kinda corrupted nearly all over the world so this movie is quite relatable in that sense...
Then the satisfying and surprising event came around, the old man began killing the two members of the gang although they had plenty more to go. Seriously man, karma is great when it's shown that way in movies lol.
Anyways it's a pretty good horror movie, go watch it if you are a horror genre fan like myself!!!
Litchi DE Hikari Club (2012)
So I came across this short that recommended on a post by a user from MyAnimelist and honestly, it was just so confusing. We just see a group of guys dressed up in black Nazi inspired uniforms, a giant robot dude and a schoolgirl who all do nothing much but chat. Even the voice acting was rather flat and I can't say I blame the actors to be asked to do this pointless approach.
I mean seriously, if you're going to do an anime like literally do it right. This anime might as well go into the pit of rubbish because it was literally unbearable to watch....
Reeling in the Years (1999)
RTE loves to rewind this series as a "6:30pm" show than having something else on
As much as it's good to go back in time and see the events that has happened throughout the years in Ireland, it's just so cheap of RTE to not invent something new to replace this show. Or even show the events that have happened in the 2010's. It just would be nice to see more variety than fixating on the years in which "Reeling in the Years" has already covered.
The show isn't rubbish but RTE aren't bothering their arses to having new ideas for creating new shows and replacing old shows like this one.....
A nice relaxing anime and it was very heartwarming to watch!
I liked the fact it was about a shy dude who used to work in a journalist type of company then suddenly becomes recognised to join a dictionary company. I probably am not gonna look at dictionaries the same way again because of how this anime just made words into beautiful art. Obviously the words are in Japanese but it doesn't mean the kanji wasn't eye catching. I even liked that at the end of every episode, it shows the words meaning based on what happened in the episode itself. Yeah I'm becoming more obsessed with fancy words now lol.
Really enjoyable anime although can be emotional at times, especially in the end with the old man dying of cancer. It breaks your heart since his colleagues seemed to look up to him as a grandad/father figure and he was adorable when he had his vocabulary notebook with him!!!!
I recommend it to all who need a chill anime to watch after a long day or even after watching a crazy anime lol.
Sazan aizu (1991)
Yawn and meh...
Thought this early 90s anime wasn't to my taste because the story dragged but stupidly goes fast too, main characters were annoying and didn't feel that horror vibe as I sometimes feel in the horror genre. This series might as well have added tomato juice for the blood and make the characters be wooded puppets since they can't fully die.
Funny enough, the art didn't put me off this time as it was mediocre enough but the whole thing looked shambles personally to me. Even if my review looks pathetic to some, that's just how my tastes are dudes...
