Bullet Train (2022)

Refreshing

It was an enjoyable ride, for sure. Loved Brad Ptt in his role! Although not a huge Brad Pitt fan, I found myself wondering if there was anybody else that could have pulled off this role as well as he did. Lemon and Tangerine were very entertaining as well. The duo was well cast and well played by both actors. If there was a Bullet Train 2, they would be tough to replace as a duo.

Bullet Train made me think of when Pulp Fiction made its debut...also refreshing in its time.

The brutality was plentiful and almost hard to take but done in an almost comedic way, kind of like in The Kingsman. This took the edge off it being distasteful and being taken too seriously, in my opinion.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Sandra Bullock towards the end. There wasn't enough of her in this show. She's always a pleasure and easy to watch.

Well done all.

Venom (2018)

Awesome and Hilarious!

Wow, this show blew me away! I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the critics review. However, the IMDB reviews were pretty good so we gave it a shot. We weren't disappointed.

Tom Hardy was AWESOME, the comical moments were hilarious. My just turned 12 year old daughter also loved it and laughed through much of the show, especially once the action started.....and didn't stop. Of course, she has a wonderful sense of humor and gets most jokes. The violence wasn't gory or graphic, almost comical in some instances. For us, this show had the right amount of action, comedy, and absolute entertainment. It was just FUN!

All in all, it was a wonderful experience at the theatre, totally satisfied. I hope they make a sequel with Woody Harrelson (he'd make a great bad guy!!), another one of my favorite actors, along with Tom Hardy.

Suits (2011–2019)

A Highly Entertaining Lawyer Show
14 September 2018
Suits' story writing and great casting of characters made this show for us. I was initially reluctant to watch a show where the main character (Harvey) is spun as an arrogant, win everytime lawyer. I will admit, he and the show, won me over, and that of my husband when I recommended he give it a try. It's serious law firm drama, whether realistic or not, peppered with lighthearted humor throughout. There's always a chuckle here and there.

The characters are exceptionally cast! Harvey is the rock, Mike as his right had man, Jessica the boss, Louis Litt with his range of expressions, whose an incredibly smart a lawyer dominated and hijacked by his emotions, and Donna, Harvey's assistant, are, in my opinion, standouts. Actually, all the characters are well written and well acted, all very strong personalities with a no back down attitude in what is portrayed as a highly successful law firm. I also love Sheila Sazs as Louis' girlfriend - what chemistry and what a match for Louis! Even Gretchen's character is awesome and refreshing - Donna is irreplaceable, but I felt it smart of the writers to have an entirely different character play her part as Harvey's temporary assistant. Forstman (Eric Roberts) as a villain is perfect, along with the slimy Hardman.

We're into season 5, and just when you think they couldn't possibly come up with more tension or story line without repeating itself, they come through again and again. I definitely recommend this show for those of you who enjoy law firm drama/tension and, at times, hilarious humor. Kudos to the writers and the casting!

The Family (I) (2013)

Absolutely Loved it!!

This is one of those shows that I could watch over and over again. It was so well cast and all the family members jived. For me, the children had some of the most humorous parts in the show. Many of their reactions were unexpected but that's what made the scenes so appealing. I would provide some details on some of the scenes but it would contain spoilers. Suffice it to say that, I was pleasantly impressed.

Robert De Niro seldom disappoints. Michelle Pfeiffer was great as his wife. The show was fun, entertaining, and lighthearted, not to be taken too seriously. The ending leaves it open for a sequel so I can only hope.

Anger Management (2012–2014)

Pretty good
17 October 2012
It's good to see Charlie back in good form. He's one of those actors that makes acting look easy. Maybe it's because he IS the character he plays. Every episode gets better. I look forward to watching more of Anger Management and re-runs of him in his former show.

His expressions are priceless. As long as they keep challenging his character with other personalities, the show will do well. Make fun of his character, call him down, tease him, people love it. Gawd, whatever you do, don't make him a goody goody.

Sometimes the best best actors are not those acting but those that play exactly who are the characters they portray. Like his character in his former show, Two and a Half Men portrayed, he'll always come out doing okay. Go Charlie!
