Crop And Save
Wild in the Country (1961)
Bottom of the Barrell
Quite possibly the worst in the Elvis movie pantheon!
Change of Habit (1969)
Elvis as a doctor...
Then he meets undercover nuns. Gritty urban realism. Quite the departure from singing, frolicking free-wheeling Elvis from so many of his other movies!
Easy Come, Easy Go (1967)
Elvis tries Yoga!
Recently former Navy Frogman spies buried treasure on one of his last official Navy dives. Meets local artist hippie & goes for the gold, but others are out to double cross him & get the treasure first!
Harum Scarum (1965)
Elvis in harem pants!
Billed as Arabian Nights a GO GO! Wow, they just kept churning these out didn't they...
Outlaw Elvis tries to go straight & get the girl, but the bad guys don't want to let him go!
Live a Little, Love a Little (1968)
The psychedelic dream sequence was too much. That whole song with the talking dog...
Kid Galahad (1962)
Fresh out of the Army & returning to Cream Valley, NY the main character stumbles into a boxing gig & turns out to be quite good!
Great! Original footage of some of Elvis first known performances. Loved the trivia track.
The Gentlemen (2019)
Too much language!
Caper told in a roundabout way with a whole lot of vulgar language. If that doesn't bother you dive on in! Fantastic cast, but the crass language eventually became too much for even me.
Center Stage (2000)
Great music. Great Dancing. A whole lot of cheese!
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
Family friendly action flick. If you've been a fan of the previous films, you'll enjoy this one!
Richard Jewell (2019)
Oh the media...
Clint Eastwood brings to light the horrible treatment Richard Jewell endured from the media & the FBI during the Atlanta Olympic Bombing.
Wow. Definitely deserved the Best Picture Win at the Oscars!
Totally not what I thought it was going to be. But great, despite having to read the subtitles the whole film..
The Emperor's New Groove (2000)
The internet memes that are based on the movie might just be funnier than the movie itself. I don't automatically equate David Spade with Disney kid's movie for good reason. Parts were funny, but as a whole meh. It's taken me almost 20 years to see this movie & I didn't miss much...
You're Bacon Me Crazy (2020)
Who uses phrases like, "Off to get my cut & curl!" Let alone refer to big brother & little brother repeatedly once they are in their 30s...
Ugh. I came for the food truck themed movie...but it was mostly horrific!
Hallmark continues to go downhill swiftly..
Sadly, some won't believe the truth
Confirmed all that you think of Fox News. Sex sells. Mostly blonde women in short tight dresses with see through desks that show off their leggy attributes.
Charlize Theron through a good deal of make-up magic disappears into her role. Nicole Kidman no so much, Margot Robbie has the most uncomfortable scenes to film. All three female actors give powerhouse performances.
It was a tragedy that it took so long for Ailes to be removed from power. Disgusting the amount of sway one network has/had. Makes me sad to have been a communication major.
The music. The characters. The plot lines. Every episode ends with a bombshell that is practically unfathomable. It has been a week or so & I still can't believe some of the things the show contained. You will be amused & horrified simultaneously.
Film version of a nice warm hug!
Oh my, Tom Hanks should have won the Oscar!
What a great job by the entire cast & crew. A Pittsburgh icon brought to the big screen.
We're Gonna Need a Bigger Cart...
Fantastic job on the FIRST feature film about Harriet Tubman. All of the actors did a great job bringing this historical figure to life. This film deserved more accolades than it received.
Ford v Ferrari (2019)
How did this not win more awards?
I am stupefied. This was an amazing tour de force of a movie.
Bale & Damon knock it out of the racetrack.
When they get to fisticuffs and Mollie brings out a chair & beer to watch. Gold simply gold!
Whether completely true or not, this movie does not shine a good light on Ford or BeeBee. If their true actions were anything close to portrayed in the movie - they deserved every bit.
Great movie. If I had more time - I would have watched it again!
Knives Out (2019)
Whodunnit Done Well!
At some point I had my doubts but I ended up really liking this movie!
The twists & turns kept coming, as did the one-liners. One of my favorites was CSI: KFC! Later there was a reference to Daniel Craig's Foghorn Leghorn accent.
Such a cast of talented actors, but they each took their moment to shine.
The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019)
Smooth & Crunchy!
A refreshing movie about a young man's journey to achieve his dream of being trained by his favorite wrestler.
All three leads are adrift in some way. They form a family that warms the heart and makes you laugh at their adventures.
The end had me worried. But it all appears to shake out in the end. Perfect for all ages!
Last Christmas (2019)
Pleasant film coupled with a good majority of the George Michael discography.
The music has me bopping my head & singing along.
The story at some point becomes obvious as to what the ending will be. But that didn't take away my enjoyment of the film.
A lovely holiday inspired film. If not for the music though - the film would only be about a two or three star.
Frozen II (2019)
Dark, Bland, & Boring
Disney cash grab for more moolah!
Frozen merchandising everywhere!
The best part may have been the 80s Power Ballad sandwiched in the middle of the movie.
Cute, but no where on par with the original animated film.
Left me feeling, well COLD.
The Lion King (2019)
Deserves to be Banished!
Horrible. Simply Horrible.
They took a 90 beloved animated classic with fantastic visuals & Elton John songs & bloated it to 120 minutes by taking out all the good things.
This is why remake after remake is a bad idea.
