Drop Dead Diva (2009–2014)

Deep, engaging and fun!
1 July 2011
Between the excellent cast that seems to mesh so well together, the clever, poignant and fast-paced fun scripts, and constantly interesting subject matter, this show is ready to become Classic TV.

Jane is so cute, and such an excellent actress, Stacy is just adorably ditzy, and such a great co-star/supporting actress. She just seems so genuine, like anyone would want her as a friend, and so true to Jane.

All of the acting is superb, and how they jive with each other seems completely unscripted, and real.

Every episode catches me, so I mourn when it's over. It's the perfect mix of light and fun, with deep and thought-provoking. Please don't make us wait so long for the next season!!! Lifetime should advertise this more in other forums, and on other channels, this show could really make them money.

How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014)

Great Writers make a hilarious and witty show!
7 March 2011
I got the chance to watch reruns in order on DVR, so I saw all of the episodes in a short time, since I was hooked! This gave me the chance to witness something that knocked me off my feet. A lot of shows will have so many inconsistencies. Not 'How I met your mother'. They go back often to previous clips, and reference things that have come up in the past. I have never noticed an inconsistancy, and remember clearly since the shows I watched were recent.

Almost every episode makes me laugh at least a few times, but some are literally epic, amazing works of t.v. writing genius. Not very many shows can accomplish this level of insight in 20 minutes and make it funny. I liken a lot of the jokes to seinfeld, as they take parts of life that people don't notice much, and turn the situations into absolute hilarity. One of my favorites is when Ted is dating a woman who talks too much, but he doesn't notice cause he likes her. When they finally tell him, he hears literal glass shattering as his perceptions are changed and he now can't ignore it. Funny in itself, but then the friends go through cycles of "shattering illusions" for everyone else in the group that goes through a chain of hilarity as they're all suddenly so annoyed by one another. I couldn't believe the depth of that episode for a silly comedy, and I laugh so hard, so often from this show. It belongs in a bracket all it's own. Great job, writers

Finally, a GOOD sci-fi movie, with everything else mixed in
7 March 2011
Sci-fi and fantasy is my favorite genre, because they can do so many more things with them. It's definitely not the same old, same old. However, I wish 80% of sci-fi and fantasy movies were NOT made, because they do them so badly, ruining most viewers for the super natural. If you're not going to do it well, don't do it at all, Hollywood. I wish they'd make hundreds more like this! It would make people who hate sci-fi realize that they only hate BAD sci-fi.

Adjustment bureau had everything. Sci-fi, mystery, drama, romance and twists and turns. It kept you enthralled from the moment you sat down, regardless if you are a sci-fi fan or not.

It was beautifully done, kept you captivated, and made you think a bit. You can see the decisions Matt Damon's character has to make when he realizes what his choices will lead to.

It was very thought-provoking. It makes you ponder life, and where it would have taken us if our choices would have differed just a little bit. The actors did a great job, you could identify with them, and even like them. I've never been a huge Matt Damon fan, but he did such a great job as a politician, I'd vote for him. Definitely a like-able character, along with the rest. In short, my husband and I LOVED this film, we talked about it afterwards more than most movies as it was thought-provoking and poignant. Finally, a fabulous sci-fi. Keep them coming like this please, Hollywood!
