13 Reasons Why (2017–2020)
10/10
Adults and teens alike should watch this!
3 April 2017
Having just finish watching this, I am both stunned and heartbroken. This is a gritty tale of life and the cause and effect of other peoples actions which can force someone into thinking their only way out is suicide. Don't dismiss this as yet another teen angst series; its not. Its an important piece of cinematography which about the darker side of life. If you have older teens, watch it with them. Make them see what it can really be like for some people and that their actions have consequences. It gets pretty hardcore at the end, making you think. Making you stop. Making you realise what what you should do is sometimes very different from what you actually do. You don't have to have handed someone the gun, sometimes its because you don't take it away from them too; doing nothing can be just as pivotal as causing the heartache. The acting is marvellous from these young adults depicting what its like trying to survive modern life as young adults and what they will, or wont, do to fit in.

Well done, until the end.
24 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This was a very well made, realistic & thought provoking film; right until the end. Jessica waking and Aviary being sorry for all that she had done was completely unrealistic. Narcissistic bullies like Aviary don't feel sorry for the pain they cause others. I know, I've been on the receiving end of it and they just grow up to be narcissistic bullying adults.

Unfortunately the reality of it is, the bullying continues, people kill themselves because of it and they don't have a miraculous recovery with their bully suddenly seeing the light. The just don't. The ending of this film gives false hope to those going through this and fuel to the bully's fire.

Its not that I wanted a depressing or sad ending, I just wanted a realistic one which fitted with the rest of the film, not a 'Hollywood Happy' one.

And to anyone being bullied out there. Keep at it. Keep going. You WILL get through it, believe me; I've been there. The best way to get back at them is let them see you NOT reacting. Don't let them see that they are getting to you, no matter how hard it might be. You can do it and you will go on to be an amazing person because of it.

Unexpextedly Good Sequel
4 August 2013
I must admit I didn't expect this to be amazing. I really liked the first one, it was creepy, different & kept you on your toes. I thought this would fall flat on it's face to be honest, but it didn't. It stayed true to the first film & has kept it's viewers guessing with the intriguing back story. I don't agree with most other reviews that it is superior to the first. I thought there was far too much blood & guts in this one which wasn't necessarily needed, it detracted from the creepiness which was what made the first film so effective. I'm not sure whether this is supposed to be a sequel or a prequel but I hope there will be a V/H/S/3 to carry on with the back story, I just hope that this series of films doesn't turn into a gore-fest & lose it's spookiness like lot's of other horror series do. Gore is easy & lazy, it takes real imagination & talent to creep out your audience without the use of blood & guts.
