After the first episode of the 8th season, which was full of important moments, yet executed in such an underwhelming way we could only hope that the ep.2 can only be better.
With only 4 episode until the end of the show I have the feeling that the writers are beyond any hope of executing it properly. First episode was so tightly packed and rushed, even though many important moments were presented and surely, we got the feeling that there's no more time to waste. And here, in the ep.2 we got 45 minutes of boring, unimportant conversation. I reckon that the writers are trying to enhance the characters we already know, to give us the feeling that each one of them is a real being and important and show us the way people behave in the moments of imminent death. Singing, silly stories about Tormund, Arya sex scene -nobody- wanted to see, crafting of the dragonglass and Arya showing her awesome skills for the 5000th time, Tyrion repeating the same line he already said and Jamie finishing the sentence for him, etc.
Really important stuff got only 5 minutes and even that felt sloppy.
