When a brain has less flavor than a shoe leather, you realize that a mind...is a terrible thing to taste.

Inception (2010)
It seems we all have some similar dreams, this was brilliant.
Along with Shutter Island, this DiCaprio film is edgy and raw. The dream sequences in this film are visual worlds in and of themselves. The plot moves at different paces and that echoes of REM sleep which was genius of the filmmakers. The uneasy suspense is unlike any other in film today. The waking world moved at the true speed of light while everything beyond that was unmeasured by conventional means.
This film was like an echo in a way. I saw that I wasn't alone in the mystery of what dreams are and where they come from and where we go and where they put us. The filmmakers must have spent time on the very subject of sleep patterns and the kinds of worlds that dwell in that strange environment of sleep. If they didn't research dreams for this film, I'd be surprised. Or maybe not. It's the most resilient virus. The idea of it.
