I've read the book and my expectations were high. Too many aspects are different and it isn't nearly as good. It had a perfect ending

Os Filhos do Rock (2013–2014)

One of all time's best Portuguese TV series

This TV series was directed as if it was a movie. The cast was well selected and above all they got everything right in it: the cars, the clothes and the set. In the whole series I only found a factual mistake: when the band was going to record their first album, Cristóvão Campos's character said "we are going to record a CD (...)" Though music CDs started being recorded in the 80's (about 82 or 83), the Barões' first record had to be a vinyl one (a single or a LP) because Portugal was facing an economical crisis and there were (at least until the first years of the 90's) few people that owned CD players. The soundtrack of the series really takes us back to that era, not just the Portuguese bands, but every single song reflected what was going on in the music scene and what Portuguese people listened during the 80's:

• Joy Division; Led Zeppelin; Rolling Stones; The Doors; Ramones; Pretenders and all the Portuguese 80's bands. The plot was well developed and as we all were expecting for an open ending which lead to a second season, we must accept the one they've created because it really gives a closure to the story. I loved Ivo Canelas's character he is excellent in every single role he plays. For those who never watched the series, it's available free for watching on the Portuguese website RTPplay, the website of the Portuguese TV station RTP. Why don't you go over there and give it a try?

Worst acting ever

I started watching this show thinking: "wow, a new show that takes us to foreign countries in search for a rare car in a hostile environment." But after ten minutes I lost all interest in it. What are the odds of finding a US mercenary working as a bartender in Mexico and willing to risk his life to "rescue" 20000$ and only earning 200$?

Yeahp, the Mclaren character is a poor actor. When you see him looking around as to check if the place is secure or not, you totally figure out that this show is has real as WWE fights.

Don't bother watching. It's a total waste of time. You don't see anything that really makes us petrol heads jump on our seats. Worst TV show ever.

Great series bad ending

I'm from Portugal and this series begun here in the end of June. It was really catching in the beginning,the actors are great in their roles and they make us believe that the story is real. However, being a curious person, I searched on youtube and I just finished watching the series. I dare say that the writers didn't know what to do to make an accurate ending and they left the story unfinished, I guess they did that to leave the opportunity for a new season but the viewers deserved a better treatment.

My vote is 7 for the whole show but, for the last episode, it should be a 2.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

Pretty disappointed

I have to confess that I am a fan of the original series. I expected the movie to be just an upgrade to the original story. Though the plot remains more or less the same, the characters don't seem so frightened as they were on the original film. On the other and, Freddy's appearances are all too predictable so if you like to scream in a movie theater, this will not be the film for you.

The cast, as in the original film, was selected among almost unknown or (like Thomas Decker) second line actors, almost saying that they didn't expect much from this film...

This movie's Freddy isn't nearly as scary as Robert Englund's was...

Finally, the special effects,the quality was increased but, in the overall, they aren't nothing special ----> all these things made a lousy film...

Brüno (2009)

Borat 2 ....

I really think this was a lousy movie. Above all I think it was a transposition of Borat's way of seeing America to the gay world, and how a foreign gay would react in Hollywood if he wanted to be famous... If you watched Borat most of the thinks that happen during this movie are easily predictable, which makes the movie a little boring- If you like a good movie, don't spend you intelligence on this one! On the other hand, if you just want to spend a hour and a half taking some laughs and don't care if the plot is really good, you may like it. I watched it and paid for the ticket but, if I'd read this comment, I sure wouldn't spend my time and my money watching this... It is absolute rubbish. Sasha Baron Cohen is way better than this.
