Good Witch (2015)
Too sweet to be true
I agree with some of the reviews here. The series is so unrealistically sweet that it´s annoying.
Cassie is never without her angelic -secretly-knowing smile (this really makes me want to punch her face), always wearing fancy clothes despite the fact that she´s supposed to cook or maintain a B+B, she never cleans or makes the dishes, she doesn´t need money (gives goods from her store for free or let her guests leave the B+B without paying). She rarely has a normal conversation without lecturing somebody with wise words (and angelic knowing smile). She is perfect at everything - baking, tea making, running a business, 6 languages, climbing, archeology, cooking, making her own holiday decorations...you name it.
In general the wardrobe of every character looks sweet but is not in accordance with the weather or season. Have you noticed that Cassie never wears scarfs...?
The other characters are as unreal as the main one. Cunning Abigail who always gets what she wants without anyone giving her hard time or a taste of her own medicine.
Grace - the perfect know-it-all who spends their teenage afternoons studiing and making less perfect characters to overcome their flaws. She also wears an angelic sweet smile almost all the time.
Brandon - supporting, always loving, always smiling husband who is never mad, no matter what his crazy (why was this character written so weirdly?) wife does...
Nick´s character is probably the most badly written. At the beginning he was a spoiled brat who manipulates his father exactly where he needs him to be.He gets on your nerves, of course, but at least he´s a real teenager. Then after his mother gets out of the picture, Nick suddenly oscillates between good boy and spoiled brat for no reason at all. The relationship between him and his father that has developed somewhere in past episodes, is suddenly back in the non-funcional zone and all in all it doesn´t make any sense.
I´m giving the show 5 start mainly because of the minor characters and Sam - the character is not so perfect as the others, has his doubts and struggles and in general he behaves as a normal responsible adult person.
Just Go with It (2011)
crap crap crap
Every time I'm about to watch Adam Sandler movie I do hope against all odds that this one is going to be good. Or at least so good that I'll watch it to the end. Unfortunately Just Go with It wasn't an exception.Every cliché of Sandler's movies is in it. Cheap humor, dumb dialoges, non realistic characters, predictable plot, one likely-to-be comic figure, honest main male character (Sandler). So all was as expected. The only thing I don't get is why Nicole Kidman felt the urge to participate
The Lobster (2015)
awful experience
I am one of the minority here who disliked the movie. Saw it yesterday and I am still horrified whenever I remember it. Yes, the performances were great and it was refreshing to see well known stars playing characters that are against their usual type. But I don't understand why the cruelty was necessary and what message could bring the audience the violence against animals. Although this film is presented as romantic, I didn't find any emotions apart from indifference and hatred in the characters, or actually in the whole world and story. All in all it's boring, too long, one does not understand why the people in the story act the way they do or how does the world where coupling is obligatory work. It's one of the movies I won't never EVER want to see again.
