I very rarely feel the need to write reviews for shows on IMDB. However I am amazed that this series has such a high rating. If you need a quick synopsis of every episode here it is:-

ACTION New scene Random characters woodenly jabbering on they are worried about something.

Other character reassures them they are amazing. Then finishes the line with a smug giggle.

CUT.

As every scene in the entire series is about 30 seconds long, just repeat the same actions 90 times per episode.

I honestly feel dumber for watching this show.

How the book shop is still in business I will never know, she gives away more stuff than she sells... maybe it is a sickeningly sweet front for drug money laundering?

Good for kids

My 8 and 6 year olds liked it, laughed a lot at it. As an adult it was ok, some funny slapstick moments.

The film was interesting and kept my attention and I really liked it until the very end when all I could think was "What are the odds of that happening?"

Also I had the nagging urge to just shout turn the lights off and be quiet to her. If she knew where the beacon was. Then why did she have to wait until she was told to activate it!

The Grinch (2018)

Ok movie for kids

It is not often I actually write a review for a movie. So here goes., we went to the cinema as a family treat. At the half way point of the movie, my wife and I were clock watching, waiting for the torture to end. Actually no torture is a bit harsh. I would not say anything is really that bad with the movie, it just does not seem to work. Maybe it is because in a few weeks time if someone asks me about the movie I would have to think hard about which version of the Grinch it is.

This film is OK at best, It does not come anywhere close to films like the Exorcist and Emily Rose. It does not advance the genre one bit, it is a long winding diluted film that just seems to abruptly comes to an end, when the story writers can not be bothered to make any more tedious back stories.

A lot of the story had just not been thought about.... like why can a possessed girl with super human powers just stay in her room? There was windows etc to be climbed out of. Maybe it was because it all happened in the bedroom for the exorcist!?!?!?!?

I think a long story short, try to avoid this movie.... unless of course there is some interesting paint drying to watch.
