I don't get this show, why would you hire farrell to totally wear prosthetics, use a fake accent and all that instead of just hiring an actor who fits the profile mostly naturally? Makes no sense, while it would bring profile for marketing it will also cost more in salary and a cut etc It makes a better show to have the strength of writing instead of big names.

I really don't like that this has little visual relation to the classic penguin comic book character. I certainly didn't like the batman movie this is supposed to be linked to. It was nowhere near as good as the nolan trilogy. There's a fine line between trying to be dark gritty and realistic and totally obliterating any real relation to the comic book character. The Devito Penguin was much better in this regard.

This just strikes me as a run of the mill criminal drama with a very lite tie to a classic comic book villain. It's like a half way sort of thing, not even halfway, just a name tacked onto it.

I mean there was nothing overly bad about this but nothing outstandingly amazing either and those obvious hyperbole reviews of 10s need to be countered accordingly because they're just bots, interested parties, the algo here to sell shows, nothing real.

I always thought this was a very low rent lurid series when compared to others. Unnecessary sex and such. Cheesiness and deception is stock in trade for old Speelster and Wanx. At least here we didn't get the awful 5 mins of scripted speech by the vetsters at the start of each episode, oof.

It's not really in good taste or seemly to have at least one very interested party part of the production team like the Spielspeaker and his spieltripe works. Kinda like EISEN-hower, Rosenfeld(roosevelt) and likely the royal family of england(saxe-gotha-coburg germans but really hidden tribesters) all have the same tribester ancestry along with Stalin who was a cryptotribester from an old persian line of them, they're all over though, most of the thrid riech was actually part of the tribe, dark, small grimy looking. Rosenberg the philosopher was one, eichman was one and likely a lot more. So the fake history is here and in everyhitng else from devilswood and more.

Sein in german means "be" and feld means field or area of expertise. So this show is about 'just being' or mostly only about today and the material things, frivolousness. It's a model or example of keeping butz in seats to fool and distract while the builders(who rejected the cornerstone, the bauers etc) use their tools to herd goyanimals as needed. Animals on the farm to be directed as needed, sheared or butchered as needed by the tribesters plans.

It is funny no doubt and has a lot of great writing. It's much tighter, focused and better edited then curbye by LD. More professional and not such a personal garage band feel that curbye has. Of course these are all tribestertrannees some of them brickmasons, all kabalists.

But it is a classic no doubt.
