Won't write too much as there's not much to say that hasn't been said by other reviewrs. This film is a masterpiece, as close to perfect as I think there ever will be. I fisrt saw this movie when I was about 8 and it has never left my top 3 of my best films of all time. As for the pre-make, all I can say is "Burn it! Damn it, Childs. Torch it!!!".
