9-1-1: Pay It Forward (2023)
The finale blew me away. In a positive sense.
I don't know where to start? The big emergency? It was so good. The whole 118 in mortal danger. You could feel the fear and tension through the screen.
Buck helps deliver the baby for which he was sperm donor. His reaction when he had the baby in his arms was heartbreaking. Oliver Stark rocked this scene. Great.
It's closure for Buck's trauma as a donor baby for his brother with cancer. He thought he was a spare parts donor with defective parts. I feel like he can make peace with that now.
Natalia and him are cute together. I know a lot of people don't see it that way because they want Buddie. But she is great. She doesn't see him as a victim. He is a man with a lot of trauma and she still sees Buck.
Maddie and Chim are planning their wedding, I can't wait.
Hen and Karen may get the opportunity to adopt a little girl. I wish it for them with all my heart.
And of course Athena and Bobby. They finally get to go on their cruise. Even though they haven't told anyone. I would love to see everyone's reaction.
It was great!
9-1-1: In Another Life (2023)
Strong perfomance. Oliver was amazing.
I'm sorry. But I don't understand the sometimes harsh criticism of the episode.
Eddie was not seen enough. Yes, that's true. But what we saw of him was amazing. We don't often see that much emotion from him.
Strong performance by Ryan.
Just like the phenomenal work of Oliver. That was great. Everyone else too, of course. Then there's the camera crew and everyone else who shot an amazing episode.
I was also hoping for a scene with Eddie at Buck's bedside. Or instead of the Buckley parents, it would be the couch at the Diaz house.
It didn't happen. But that doesn't diminish the acting of the cast. In the end, they have to do what the script says. They did that very well.
9-1-1 (2018)
Great emotions
I watched a couple of seasons of Chicago Fire and Station 19. But it's always just about the relationships with each other. You miss a couple of episodes and wow, suddenly two other main characters are a couple.
It's different in 9-1-1. I love how the characters develop season after season. And all of them.
So many emotions, hardly an episode where I'm not crying. And they dare to deal with difficult topics. Alcohol abuse, marriage violence, post traumatic stress syndrome, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, fear of abandonment, postpartum depression, savior baby and so much more.
Of course, remember, it's a show, not a documentary. Things are not 100% realistic. But well done and fascinating emergencies. It shows the everyday life of first responders. I hope for many more seasons.
Especially Aisha, Oliver and Ryan are great in their actress development. I am autistic and thrilled with Oliver's facial expressions.
9-1-1: Red Flag (2022)
Give the storyline a chance
I would freak out if it came to Buddie. But, I don't like how the fandom is handling it. The criticisms are often not about the episode and the plot, but whether there is enough or too little interaction between Eddie and Buck. Too little is homophobic, too much is queerbaiting.
Fans overlook the great performances of the actors. The facial expressions, the gestures, the talent. From everyone on the show.
The criticism of the sperm donation storyline? That's Buck. Helping others and not thinking about what he wants.
It's a difficult subject and interesting to see from a donor's point of view. What is done with one.
I know I will be attacked for what I write.
But do not forget, everywhere there is a person behind it. Everyone has feelings. Even the actors and writers of the show. Criticism ok, but insults not.
9-1-1: Fear-o-Phobia (2022)
Oliver Stark's facial expressions in the scenes are unbelievably good.
Emotions and many tears.
It is courageous and right to also address difficult things. Respect to the authors for sending fan favorite Buck into this situation. Buck is a sunshine and a kind-hearted person. He would immediately go into the fire for everyone he loves. But he is only human. And people make mistakes. It's interesting to see how he deals with them. You can't forget how much trauma there is in the man.
The acting was phenomenal. Oliver Stark's facial expressions in the scenes are unbelievably good. You can feel all the emotions. Give the man an Emmy.
Ryan Guzmann went above and beyond this time. And not to forget Gavi. WOW.
9-1-1: Outside Looking In (2022)
More than a Kiss
I read a lot of harsh reviews about this episode beforehand. Now the episode is available on iTunes and I finally got to see it. I don't understand a lot of fans. Yes, cheating is wrong. But it's something that happens in relationships. And I admire the courage to deal with this topic. It was a kiss And then the panic to confess it to the partner. True, the character of Buck has grown over the past few years. But he's still full of trauma and insecurities. And why did the kiss even happen? That doesn't happen when you're happy in a relationship. The important thing now is how they deal with it in the next few episodes. What are they doing for Taylor.
The rest of the episode was also full of action and emotions. The Bomb. Eddie and his new job. The conversation with Bobby. Heartbreaking. Give the episode a chance. Try to stay objective. And trust the authors. I'm sure it's going to be a great story. And let's honor the great performance of the actors. (English is not my first language)
