Stephen Curry: Underrated (2023)
A good career recap
A very surface level documentary, it's a great in depth recap of his career, but the majority focuses on his college run without adding much that you couldn't just watch the highlights on YouTube. The documentary would have been better if it just focused on the warriors last championship, and followed him throughout that year. The story wrote itself a team that missed the playoffs one of the best players of all time having his greatness doubted. Unfortunately they decided to recap the career of player that is still active doesn't have the magic of the last dance as curry's story is yet to be finished.
Can't Hardly Wait (1998)
A rewatchable teen movie
A fun teen movie that is very rewatchable. For a movie with a lead character that is not that likeable( very weird and stalkerish) is strengthened by great supporting characters. It holds up as it weaves multiple characters arcs into one night and keeps it exciting and making you feel like you want to be there. For a teen movie it hits all the notes.
Captain Ron (1992)
A enjoyable movie
A fun movie, there are now real big laughs for a comedy but it's enjoyable and will make you smile. The charisma of Kurt Russell Carry's the movie, if you like Kurt Russell in other movies you will like this movie. My only issue is wasting Martin Short as the straight man he is one of the greatest comedic talents ever. It's a hidden gem of movie that's not talked about or on streaming but if you find it you will enjoy it.
The Terminal List (2022)
A fun bingeable action show
I was surprised how much this series gripped me and pulled me in. Binged it in two days, the show has flaws but the action ropes you in, Chris pratt added a lot of depth and his supporting cast were strong throughout. At times you questioned why they helped it didn't make a lot of sense why other characters acted the way they did. Besides that they wove complex narratives of why the bad person acted the way they did and the protagonists made the decisions he made even though it didn't alwAys make sense. The show achieved having great action scenes with having relatable characters, can't asked for much more.
Malignant (2021)
mismarketed
The trailer leading up to this movie is a completely different tone than this movie, leading you to believe it is more like the conjuring or insidious. I get what they were trying to go for a throwback campy horror movie not something you see from a mainstream horror movie these days. I did not enjoy this movie I respect what the wanted to achieve I gave it 5 for taking a risk.
