Mommy's Girl: Babysitter First Aid Training (2023)
Any excuse will do
The "Mommy's Girl" series is hard up for fresh plot lines, as evidenced in this contrived excuse to get a sex scene underway.
Serene Siren plays a nurse who wants to teach her stepdaughter (Gizelle Blanco) and classmate (petite Demi Hawks) how to give first aid, because they're going to be working as babysitters.
Not exactly a compelling story, but Siren plows ahead, rattling off useful methods and using Hawks as a substitute for a dummy as the victim to work on. CPR and mouth to mouth action both lead to sexual arousal and voila! -we have a lesbian threesome.
The resulting sex is mechanically performed, just another paycheck for these attractive porn actresses.
Mommy's Girl: My Stepmom Fucked My Bully!? (2023)
Dumb scene saved by big boobs
Cast tries hard, but can't sell this truly stupid story, making up for it via hot lesbian 3-way sex on the couch.
Schoolgirl Chloe Surreal comes home and catches her stepmom (Lauren Phillips) and a girl who's bullying her at school (Jane Wilde) humping away on the living room couch.
The miscreants have explanations ready, but not very convincing ones. It seems that Phillips asked Jane's mom to send her daughter over to get a talking to, after Chloe reported how Jane was making life rough for her at school, spreading it around that the buxom teen is a lesbian. It turns out that Jane is also a lesbian, but in the closet due to her mom being strict, so she's acting out her jealousy at Chloe being open and out on the matter. Why that would cause Ma Phillips to seduce her is not explained away.
It's fun to watch Chloe as the center of lesbian attention, and of course big-bust fans get a real eyeful of Lauren and her in action.
Mommy's Girl: Out of Hot Water (2023)
And into the threesome
Kylie Rocket and her friend Lexi Lore earn a spanking from Kylie's stepmom (Penny Barber) in this "Mommy's GIrl" scene, which inevitably leads to a threesome.
Penny is a stickler: she won't let her kid and friend be alone with the door closed -no humping in her house. Kylie hits upon the gimmick of telling mom that Lexi has gone home, and it's time for her shower, so that the two girls can make love in the bathroom (it's door closed). Of course they get caught and punished, but in pornland spanking leads to arousal. The trio of randomly chosen actresses work well together, making up for the stupid storyline.
Mommy's Girl: Our Way of Saying Thanks (2023)
A Penny for your erotic thoughts
Penny Barber has a knack of selling even an absurd premise via her combo of great acting ability and sexual prowess. Here she plays a stepmom with 3 stepdaughters, having married all their birth mothers -not bigamy but in succession. The kids are just crazy about her and the feeling is mutual, so when they ask her if there is anything they can do to repay her, well, there is an erotic fantasy mama has always had...
Once again, there is no story here, just a smiley, smirking excuse for group sex, and the foursome goes at it with sex worker gusto. So many better and more compelling Penny performances are available for viewing, but lesbian sex content by the pound is the name of the game here.
Clara la soumise (2023)
Submission is not futile
The subject is submission in this durable Dorcel feature series, and this edition stars Clara Mia as a bartender who by chance is taken under the wing of a psychologist played by Anna Polina to learn the ways of the submissive.
By now, the rough edges of this genre, namely BDSM lite, have been worn smooth, and director Herve Bodilis presents even a gang bang for Clara rather tastefully.
Polina, looking terrific, is a solid presence in the movie, which surprisingly isn't as "sexy lingerie" intensive as usual -in fact pantyhose worn by Clara is the most distinctive of undergarments on display.
Lesbian PsychoDramas 40 (2023)
Misses the mark
Girlfriends Films doesn't give any writing credits, perhaps wise in this case, as the pretty actresses are given flowery dialogue (out of some corny romance novel) that never sounds natural in the four vignettes of #40 of this tired series.
Years back, these psychodramas were often weird and even amusing, but director B. Skow has drained the life out of 'em. After some okay Sapphic sex, the characters all fall asleep in each other's arms, looking weary and satisfied. As a viewer I shared their weariness but was not satisfied.
I suspect the underlying problem has to do with an erroneous assumption. Skow and his actresses are used to thinking that Gonzo Porn is exciting, while traditional Romantic scenes are old-fashioned and boring by comparison. So they set out to be boring, assuming that fans of "romance" dig soft, low energy scenes. On the contrary, I find "high-energy" gonzo sex on screen to be boring and fake: sex workers in a dull game of "can you top this?" sexual activity.
Opening segment gets off on the wrong foot: compatible brunette actresses Dharma Jones and Alex Coal are saddled with an utterly corny situation: as a result of a car crash Dharma has lost her memory and doesn't remember her partner Alex. In a real movie we would learn about their past, subplots with other characters might spur Dharma's memories, but in an hour of porn you learn nothing apart from their sexual muscle memory.
A strange but stupid scene has two heaily tattooe actresses arguing about, you guessed it, tattoos. It seems that Electra Rayne is jealous (and clearly intolerant) as she angrily criticizes her lover Adaline Gray because Gray has very personal tattoos related to past lovers (of boths sexes -one is a spider tattoo to remind her of a male lover) and this makes Electra jealous. Electra has plenty of her own tattoos, but she considers hers "artistic", not referring to any people. In real life, one of these two characters would take a hike, but here they bury the hatchet and make love. And if the viewer doesn't like tattooed actresses, they're both unappealing.
Well-tanned and buxom Tiffany Watson looks like a MILF now (though she's still in her 20s), contrasting with her beanpole partner Erin Everheart. Their scene's story is ridiculous (but they do play it straight); Erin has a living room filled with plants, but they're all fake plastic, because her mom passed away and she can't deal with death (i.e., a dead plant). She claims they talk to her (talking plastic?) and Tiff humors her. It's a sappy scene, especially when you consider that Everheart is associated with extreme sex scenes (like fisting), not this sappy stuff.
Remaining scene features two Black actresses who are contrasting types: Willow Ryder is dressed casually, as if she skipped going to wardrobe when she got on set, while co-star Calli Sweets (who has gone from A to C cup size recently) is exaggeratedly glamorous in style, right down to wearing an out-of-place garter belt right out of a Dorcel video. Their story line is poor: Calli has decided to date Willow because she is a dead ringer for her late wife Emily. How lame a set-up for a love scene is that?
Sexual Intruder (1996)
Colt is back in town
Fred Lincoln and Patti Rhodes cut back on story and characters in this unsuccessful romantic drama, so obscure that I had to add it to IMDb today, 27 years after release.
Title intruder is Colt Steele, an enigmatic figure who returns to a cold shoulder "welcome" at a party thrown by John Decker. Colt was an old flame for Decker's wife Ruby, but she has managed to get over him. Not to worry, fans, Colt plays a male model who is styled like a VHS era Jason Momoa, and other women can't get enough of him, including streetwalker Channone, and later mega-busty Brittany Andrews, who he meets at the party for the first time.
There are several other romantic entanglements, but Patti's screenplay gives little to no time before her characters hit the sack -for example, Brittany confesses to her lesbian lover Nici Sterling that she has a crush on the new stud, and Nici gives her the go-ahead to try him out, before the two big-up-front ladies get down to some Sapphic sex with dildos.
Fans of the Missy/Mickey G team will enjoy their impromptu threesome with Rick Masters, culminating in anal sex and Missy's double penetration. Male cast mainly goes bareback, though Colt wears condoms.
Stages (1997)
Erotic vignettes on display
A stylish all-sex video, these five vignettes by little-known director Ron Matson reflect a magazine photographer style, resembling those Michael Ninn glamour videos several years later.
Tall Lauren Montgomery, a fine actress, opens the show as a stripper flanked by Colt Steele, in which Colt is more the sex object of Ron's camera than Lauren (his face is covered entirely by his long hair combed down, so his muscular body dominates the frame. Of course, once Lauren is nude and the scene turns XXX she's extremely alluring as his sex-partner.
Safe sex via condoms is emphasized except in the final vignette where Colt and Tony Montana go bareback for a threesome atop a car hood in the boys' auto shop. A couple of lesbian sex scenes are impressive with fetish gear and latex adorning them.
It's a solid session for fans who don't want any storytelling, with an offbeat cast.
Stripper Nurses (1994)
How lowbrow can you go?
Almost identical to a dozen other Jim Holliday porn comedies, this edition has its moments at Burton Allen Institute for stripper-nurses, but is mind-numbingly repetitive and stupid. One assumes Holliday is imposing his notions about Adult Entertainment on the viewer as dogma: sex & silliness.
After an intro sex scene of Tammi Ann servicing amnesia patient T. T. Boy, the opening credits overtly explain what's really at work here: proudly citing that 9 of the 20 femmes in the cast are nationally touring dancers, and advising the viewer to catch them live, as only a taste of their stage acts are presented here. This reflects the oft-cited (in BTS interviews for example) that strippers use porn movie appearances to enlarge their audiences in their live stripper appearances as feature dancers. So Holliday throws in stripping sequeces randomly, beginning with Keisha, that bring the so-called movie to a halt.
Another recurring gag is as self-indulgent as possible -he cuts to a hallway where a nurse will walk along, encountering wadded up paper thrown on the floor, so she can bend over to pick it up, providing an enticing bare-ass rear view.
Ron Jeremy is annoying with his unfunny one-liners, given a long leash by holiday. After sex, Debi Diamond tosses him around and he gets amnesia hitting his head, spending the rest of the show in drag as a nursing student assuming the name Mary Menopause. This is supposed to be amusing.
Holliday emphasizes anal sex and lots of alluring nudity from his vast cast of beauties, and perhaps the movie would have been better as a softcore late-night cable junker. Nina Hartley is spotlighted in the inevitable lesbian orgy, achieving an orgasm with a toe f*cking her pussy. Tiffany Mynx in her strip routinge does a specialty gimmick of blowing cigarette smoke out of her pussy.
That's entertainment, folks! Yuck, yuck.
Strippers Inc. 2 (1995)
Kaitlyn and Amber dominate the action
Amber Woods and Kaitlyn Ashley stand out in this edition of Ona Zee's ambitious set of videos which portray the backstage and even boardroom antics of a striptease empire her character is running alongside partner John Dough. Much of the starry cast doesn't get down to having sex in each volume, but help to maintain interest in the story line.
Tiffany Million is one of the star strippers competing for top billing on stage and she has a very hot sex scene at the makeup tables backstage with fellow stripper Amber Woods. Woods returns to finish this segment #2 of the series by humping the boss, Jon Dough.
Surprise casting (for the fans) is having Kaitlyn Ashley not playing a headliner as would be expected, but instead a secretary, who services Steven St. Croix and Jay Ashley for anal-sex and a d.p. She keeps her glasses on throughout her scene, but oddly enough there's no fetish closeup of spunk hitting her glasses even though she does get a facial from Jay.
Ona watches the action, including Dough servicing Amber, via a CCTV setup, and whatever she's plotting is used as a cliffhanger to get one ready for Volume 3.
The Closer: Half Load (2009)
Terrific story & acting
Great writing, with the usual fine acting by Kyra's ensemble cast, delivers a strong episode about gangs, crime and neighborhoods in trouble in this edition, still potent and really email 14 years later.
A town meeting with Kyra and her cops has the locals complaining vociferously about how unsafe their neighborhood is and how they can't rely at all on the police. The details of the murder and the way the team led by captain Kyra solve it is fascinating. What appeals to me how the police procedural elements are deftly integrated with the underlying humanism of the story/characters. It's solid storytelling, without the gimmickry and cynicism of more recent TV dramas.
Epiphany (2000)
A failure
I admire Nic Cramer's work (mostly forgotten as his dozens of VHS era releases are no longer in print), but "Epiphany" did not capture my interest at all. It's incredibly pretentious, made following his biggest hit "Looker" and you can tell he let success go to his head by listing dozens of crew members in the end credits (padded with a dozen of the dumbest jokes you never heard at a comedy club).
It's an attempt at a romantic movie, with young Jessica Drake (pre-stardom) reading a letter from her friend and former lover Bridgette Kerkove (also young and with natural breasts but her usual gonzo attitude) apologizing for stealing away Jess' husband Alec Metro.
We're treated to a flashback of the main four characters chatting, and Jess is sullen -as if we're supposed to blame her for losing her man. What follows is a series of XXX scenes that make little sense as a story, apparently just Nic showing off his technical prowess. He forgot to make an entertaining film, just delivering sex scenes like current practitioners do.
A lovely young blonde actress Bethany Hartford is wasted here as a blank, no emotion sex slave who puts on a sex show at some club with Brian Surewood her master. Jessica dressed in latex watches them with the same no expression on her face she uses throuhgout the movie, ten has a sex dream (hokey in the extreme as Nic uses back projection of weird patterns out of "2001: A Space Odyssey" as Julie Meadows f*cks John Strong and then is wearing the same costume watching that duo continue to make love in Brian's club.
A phone call from Kerkove wakes her up and she goes to fetch Bridtgette from jail, where the friend/homewrecker tells her Metro has been arrested for robbery. The two women make love in jail and are joined by guard Evan Stone (Jess'[s real-life partener back then) and the movie simply ends when they leave jail with Evan not stopping them. Roll five minutes of dumb, useless credits.\\
I want pornographers to tell a story. I want them to take their work seriously. Nic was able to do both but this feature is nearly self-mockery.
Evermore: Episode Four (2023)
Speedy story conclusion, then on with the group sex!
The conclusion very quickly ties up the loose ends of the story and then on to 1/2 an hour of group sex featuring the four stars.
First they have to conquer the Hellions with some blood-spilling sword fights and Danny D's sorcery. Sophie Reade gets a hold of the Sword of Evermore and uses it to destroy evil sorceress Valentina Nappi. The stepsisters Agatha Vega and Reade celebrate by "re-establishing the bloodline" humping heroes Danny and Xander Corvus, which in inferred meant a couple of creampies coming up. No, instead after foursome with repetitive, choreographed positions, the girls get very sloppy facials, which director Bush crudely repeats as the end of the movie in slow-motion, worthy of a Rodney Moore "creme de la face" video.
Evermore (2023)
So-so Sword & Sorcery with hot babes
Sexy leading ladies highlight this low-budget Sword & Sorcery feature by Danny D and Dick Bush for Digital Playground. It throws in a bit of blood, a nothing story of princesses fighting against an evil sorceress for the crown of Evermore, minor SPFX, and all that counts: four lenghty XXX scenes.
Superstar Valentina Nappi is the bad guy, while lovely Euro stars Agatha Vega and busty Sophie Reade play the princesses who are stepsisters (it never hurts to throw in a bit of faux incest these days). Xander Corvus is in good humor while producer Danny D plays his scenes dead serious, clashing with the rest of the cast's "who cares?" approach.
Copious cum shots are repeated a second time in slow motion, a hint that Dick Bush doesn't care much about his porn anymore.
Transfixed: Prostate Epiphany (2023)
At least it's more romantic than the dumb title
Uncontested winner of the worst porn title for 2023, "Prostate Epiphany" (sounds like an episode of the classic "Route 66") did have me googling, and yes, women do not possess a prostate gland. But trans-females like superstar Erica Cherry do, hence the relevance to this show. Perhaps it will survive years from now as sex education.
With sappy music, it attempts to create a highly romantic atmosphere, but that effort is sabotaged by pedantic "out of a textbook" dialogue about sexuality that early on has co-star Whitney Wright (portraying a sex expert) having trouble spittin out her words. The characters do not talk like real people, and their love scene is likewise staged and phony.
Supposedly, Erica's character doesn't like males so WW on a first-date with her suggests they explore their sexuality (an obvious come-on I guess best reserved for cis-females trying to seduce trans-females, maybe?) and try something different. Conceding that "protate stimulation" is generally an issue for cis-males, she gets Erica to give it a try, namely 3 fingers up the wazoo by scientist Whitney on Erica's rectum, after first rimming her as a warmup.
But the scene is really more about WW giving anal-sex a try, as Erica gets out the lube and f*cks Whitney up the ass in several positions. Segment ends unromantically with Erica jerking off (and achieving a commendable fountain of cum) while Whitney fingers her again. The XXX content is more mcheanical and clinical than erotic, though Erica's big dick and ability as a "female woodsman" is worth watching. I've seen her get fisted (courtesy of the talented Tommy King), so this "Transfixed" episode is no big deal.
Four Star Playhouse: My Wife Geraldine (1952)
Boyer shines; story stinks
The title of this premiere episode of "Four Star Playhouse" suggested to me a skit by Flip Wilson (involving his iconic drag character Geraldine), but instead we have Charles Boyer giving a charming, heartfelt performance in support of a lousy story. Why he would choose this stinker to launch a tv series (or it be chosen by his three illustrious fellow stars/producers Ida Lupino, Dick Powell and David Niven as lead-off show) remains a mystery.
Larry Marcus's story and screenplay are strictly one-note, with any hint of suspense (or interesting content) ruined by giving away the whole matter in the first minute or two, then hitting the flashback function in pure Spoiler! Fashion. To get a job, Boyer has to pretend he is married, but the ruse of a nonexistent wife obviously (and quickly) catches up with him and gets him in trouble. Marcus' ending gives Boyer a chance to emote, but makes no sense from a storytelling standpoint, merely proving that it's just a shaggy-dog story without even the usual build-up of mystery such tales (see: the Coen Brothers and Wes Anderson, current specialists in the genre) can engender before the final letdown.
Combat!: Jonah (1967)
Poorly scripted (and cast) nothing episode
"Jonah" is a poor episode, strictly a one-note gimmick story that is tedious while trying to be suspenseful. It is one of the last episodes in the series' run, and evidence of a disastrous fall-off in quality during that one an only "in Color" season.
A big-name star or character actor should have been cast in the lead role, not the bland (and inexpressive) Tom Wilcox, a private assigned to Rick's squad (Vic only has a brief cameo appearance) who is convinced he's a jinx, and gradually has nearly all his comrades (except level-headed Rick) believing that somehow he attracts bad luck that causes the men around him to die.
While such irrational thinking is a potential story hook, this script goes nowhere. Like many other late-in-the-day "Combat!" segments, there are battles thrown as a diversion from the lack of any meat on the bones of the central story, including this time a completely irrelevant "exciting" opening scene of Caje killing a German soldier in a knife fifht in the rain. Segment ends in a truly boring anticlimax.
Erotic Premonitions ep. 2 (2023)
A sexy psychic
For leading lady Skyler Storm, after bedding a realtor played by Braylin Bailey in the first episode, her psychic powers once again prove reliable. Her vision in a dream of a lovely bedmate mopping up her bedroom floor comes true, in the form of friendly neighborhood cleaning lady Laney Grey, who soon arrives eager to land a new client.
Fan favorite Laney lands a lot more than that, and Skyler is her lovable kooky self, sounding a bit flaky in conversation but a lioness in the sack. Like the previous episode, the open ending promises more hijinks and as a fan I can't wait to see who's fulfilling a dream next.
Erotic Premonitions ep. 1 (2023)
She can see it coming!
Blonde beauty Skyler Storm is endearing as a young woman with ESP: she frequently dreams about some woman she's never met and sure enough. That lady will soon show up on her doorstep, poised to become (with some coaxing and intrigue) her next lover. It happens like clockwork, and the mysterious aspect of this story premise bodes well for a new series from Missa X.
The dream girl soon arrives and it's a realtor played by Braylin Bailey. She's a bit taken aback by the frank talk of the lady of the house and soon gives up trying to get her to list her house for sale, finding it more comfortable to share her bed.
It's a delightful little story and both actresses (both of them blonde) are engaging performers, whether dressed or undressed.
Oopsie!: Push My Buttons (2023)
Peppy and sexy nonsense
A high energy trio of actresses brings this "Oopsie!" episode to life, though as usual, the all-sex format has trouble sustaining interest for 35 minutes.
It's the currently overdone "Stuck" school of porn, best evidenced in many a scene from competing label Brazzers. The action gets going, in slapstick-styled pantomime, with busty Summer Hart getting stuck in the elevator doors of an office building, with TS superstar Izzy Wilde pounding her pussy from behind inside the elevator while security guard Kasey Kei fills Summer's mouth with her cock from the outside.
The trio go at it nonstop and their spirit is infectious. The two trans meet one cis female is the most popular one for an "Oopsie!" romp and though director Stella Smut is definitely stuck in a rut this cast makes it work on a gonzo level.
Fearless (2023)
A great team, taking a risk
Penny Barber and Juan Loco make beautiful music together in this familiar but superior quality seduction vignette, among the best faux incest stories told lately. His insistent stepson, willing to take chances in order to fulfill his desire to f*ck his mom is matched by consummate MILF Barber's ability to project ambivalence but ultimately give in and make the sex scene all that much better by a stream of dirty talk, literally egging him on.
For a porn audience currently addicted to the Wham Bam! School of sex performances, it's refreshing and titillating to see talented actors convincingly flirt and hesitate for a change. Smoothly directed by Craven Moorehead, the scene has an air of inevitability but manages to tantalize and even surprise the audience who probably think they've seen it all. Vive la difference!
Kinky Girl Desires 1 (2023)
Kink lite, but still entertaining
Adam & Eve's veteran director Luc Wylder made this simple but offbeat feature about a couple of women who open a kinky sex club, when Tiff Watson inherits a warehouse and money from her late aunt. Picture was shot entirely at an existing sex club named 910 in West Hollywood, which gets duly plugged during the movie.
In the short movie, two of the four vignette are solos, one of which is a showstopper in which Tommy King shows off her big butt to good effect, as well as using a flexible lengthy dildo for deep penetration.
I still have trouble adjusting to Tiff with big breasts, but they're quite attractive and on display here in a couple of scenes. There's no screenplay credit for what Luc has rather frugally made into an enertaining but trivial feature.
Mommy's Girl: Walk a Mile in Her Strap-On (2023)
How it's done
Jennifer White adds to her successful resume as a top MILF with this sympatico pairing with Scarlett Alexis as her stepdaughter for "Mommy's Girl".
She sees a strap-on dildo in the background of a photo her kid has posted on-line, and reprimands Scarlett. It turns out that Jennifer has never been exposed to the device, so she's amenable when her daughter suggests she try it out.
It's a simple but quite hot scene, making up in execution what it lacks in originality. The role-reversal of having the youngster more experienced at sex than her stepmother is what really gives the scene its effectiveness.
A Star Named Myra (2023)
Yes, she is
Newcomer Myra Moans lives up to the title in this 2-parter from Missa X, playing a petite but alluring movie star who may be a bit domineering but that doesn't hamper her love life.
We see her interact with her personal assistant Dharma Jones, an old friend who remembers the tough times they had together in La La Land before Myra hit the big time. Their sexual relationship might seem endangered when Myra instantly seduces a cute delivery girl (played by Angel Windell), or maybe such indulgent XXX dalliances might just represent Myra being Myra. Maddy Burton's open ending leaves what might happen next to one's imagination.
Refuge (2023)
Quality futa porn
Using characters from the popular game (and subsequent movies) Resident Evil, "Refuge" represents one of the best realized Adult animation porn videos. Made by Lord Aardvark and Dr. Javi, the character animation is outstanding, and the explicit sex footage is very well done. Even the dialogue and romantic story are interesting for change, not just the "in & out" repetitive tedium so common in Adult animation, especially the so-called "sex simulator" games.
It's basically a two-character play with Jill and Claire as action heroine friends, who have holed up in a cabin on an island, hiding out to remain undetected from zombies and other baddies who appear in previous stories. Claire's boyfriend Chris is only present this time as a voice on the phone.
Cooped up together, the girls soon turn to sex to pass the time, especially since Claire reveals that she has known that Jill is actually a futanari (the Japanese porn tradition of "chicks with dicks". Flashbacks usefully show how Claire spied on her friend and was duly impressed with the size of Jill's dick as well as her copious "loads" resulting when she masturbates to on-line porn.
There are no monsters or action scenes in "Refuge", but more than enough hot sex to satisfy futa fans.
