Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
Very impressed
I was a huge fan of the first two movies, and when I heard that they were making a third I was very excited. Naturally, before the movie I read different reviews, many which criticized the action sequences in the movie. They compared them to The Matrix and said that the technology did not match up. Well, I would think that anyone that has seen Terminator would know that it is not about "Matrix style" fighting. I thought the action sequences were great and the interaction between the old and new characters was fantastic. I don't know how many times I've sat through a movie, and whether I enjoy it or not, sit there and think...how mich time is left?? At the end of Terminator (which is 110 minutes long), I was couldn't believe I had just spent 2 hours in a theatre. It completly flew by. They left the movie open for one more, hopefully they will take care of that opening. I would advise anyone to see this movie.
American Pie 2 (2001)
As good as the first
To make things blunt, I laughed my butt off. I went and saw the movie downtown Seattle the night it opened at the Cineplex Odean at midnight...that was the best crowd I've ever seen a movie with. I could usually tell what was coming, but I was still shocked when it actually happened. I'm usually pretty conservative when it comes to movies, but the American Pie movies have been two of my favorite movies ever. The second movie takes over at the end of the first year of college. The first scene can be figured out by seeing the previews, but there were still a lot of surprises in the movies.
There are a lot of great scenes at Stifler's party, and I was surprised to see that not only were the main characters back, but most of the supporting characters were back as well (remember the two guys from the M.I.L.F. scene?....they were in the second movie as well). Even Stifler's brother is in the movie.
The movie is pretty shocking, but still very funny, I think my favorite part involved Petey. I think everyone needs to see this movie, from junior high aged and older...its destined to be a classic.
American Pie (1999)
American Pie is the BEST
American Pie is so true to life. I saw it three times in the theater when it came out and I just bought it a few weeks ago. The more times I watch it, the more I relate to it. It's great to see a "teen movie" thats so true to life. Most of the teen movies out there are sugar coated or they only relate to a minor aspect of teenage life. This movie came out after my senior year, and I saw it with a bunch of my friends from high school. Everything that happens reflects the way that guys and girls think. Besides being true to life, this movie is hilarious...everyone should see it. Forget about the rating, it is actually most suited for high school and college aged.
It's Tough to Be a Bug (1998)
Great show!!
My family and I have seen a lot of 3-D shows through the years, and this has got to be one of my favorites! Even as you walk down the queue to the theater, everything is in character. You feel like your starting to go underground. Once you get to the theater, you are given bug eyes (3-D glasses, that look just like bug eyes). The show is great, and all of us from ages 5-55 just loved it. There are lots of surprises and once again Disney puts on a quality show! You can't miss this one if you go to California Adventure or Animal Kingdom!
