Law & Order (1990)
Anthony Anderson
Just heard that Anthony Anderson will not be returning for season 22 of Law & Order. Too bad.
Anthony Anderson was the ONLY decent actor in the newly launched L&O series.
Please get rid of Jeffrey Donovan, Hugh Dancy, Camryn Manheim, Odelya Halevi even Sam Waterston...fine but if Anthony Anderson is leaving, you've lost the most talented of the bunch.
If you want to improve viewership consider replacing the entire cast.
FBI: Most Wanted: Covenant (2022)
Improvement
IMO Dylan McDermott is a vast improvement over Julian McMahon. Thanks.
HOWEVER...Alexa Davalos is still a breathy, mumbling low talker. I have a very hard time understanding her. I still had to active closed caption to follow her dialogue. Maybe some lesson in ENUNCIATION and talking from the diaphragm?
I do like "Remy" as the SSA so far though, I know, I know it's only one episode but Julian's character (Jess) and his acting were really not up to the usual FBI standard.
Law & Order: Fault Lines (2022)
The acting just get's worse
I submitted a previous review but continue watching the new L&O hoping for improvement. The production/direction and acting by the primary characters, if anything, gets worse.
Up through 2009 the production was far superior. The direction was far superior. The acting was far superior.
I really want to like this show. It's hard.
Law & Order: Impossible Dream (2022)
The acting
I really want to like the new Law and Order however, the acting by the DA (Hugh Dancy), ADA (Odelya Halevi), Lieutenant (Camryn Manheim) and Detective (Jeffrey Donovan) is mediocre at best.
There are few well written/acted/produced and directed crime shows available on NBC anymore, L&O SVU and L&O Organized Crime being the exceptions. I was hoping the new L&O would live up to that standard.
Fingers crossed.
So far it hasn't.
FBI: Most Wanted (2020)
Content
3 things:
1. Alexa Davalos mumbles. I have to activate cc to follow dialogue.
2. Everyone talks far too quickly. Again, I have to activate cc to follow
dialogue and even with cc I have to rewind and replay to understand
what's being said.
3. I'm pleased that you are replacing Julian McMahon.
Bosch (2014)
Absolutely love this show
Love everything about this show. Only negative for me is Detective 3 Santiago (Jimmy) Robertson, how is it possible to be both insecure and arrogant at the same time. I suppose that critique indicates what a really good actor Paul Calderon is.
So it goes without saying. What a great show. Great characters, really great writers and fabulous directing/editing/producing.
