Blume in Love (1973)
10/10
One of Mazursky's best
3 July 2014
Blume in Love is honestly one of Paul Mazursky's best films. George Segal is fantastic as the charismatic, yet deeply pathetic protagonist Stephen Blume and Kris Kristofferson bounces off of him enjoyably in one of his early film roles. The script creates an engrossing, believable portrait of romantic relationships in the 1970s, while also having several laugh-out-loud moments. Additionally, Mazursky makes great use out of both Los Angeles and Venice, Italy as locations. Dramatically effective and boasting several memorable characters, Blume in Love is in the same league as An Unmarried Woman and is a a must-see for Mazursky fans.

Perfect encapsulation of Wes Anderson's style
16 December 2013
Though only eight minutes long, Castello Cavalcanti is essential viewing for fans of Wes Anderson's work. With beautiful set pieces including a famous prop from Fellini's "La Dolce Vita" (both were filmed at the same studio in Rome) and a number of distinctive background characters, Anderson immediately establishes a truly memorable period atmosphere that evokes positive memories from both his own work and classic Italian films. Furthermore, Jed Cavalcanti, a Formula 1 driver played by Jason Schwarzman, is a funny, unique protagonist who fits comfortably alongside Max Fischer and Steve Zissou. Brisk and enjoyable, the film is a wonderful surprise that bears no resemblance to an advertisement and does not overstay its welcome. Anderson has stated that, with the further participation of Prada, he hopes to follow Cavalanti in more adventures filmed at other great studios around the world. Let's hope he follows through on that promising idea and that Cavalcanti becomes the star of many more Anderson shorts.

Ben and Kate (2012–2013)

One of the best comedies on TV; fantastic writing and ensemble cast
23 January 2013
Ben and Kate is a fantastic and deeply underrated show. Upbeat and inventive, it features one of the best ensemble casts on broadcast TV. In particular, Nat Faxon and Lucy Punch demonstrate incredible comedic timing and help elevate the show above what could have been an ordinary half hour of television. Additionally, the show's writing distinguishes itself from other sitcoms, since it is genuinely funny, yet also consistently positive and earnest. I would highly recommend this show to fans of Community, 30 Rock, New Girl, or any other similar feel-good, yet original show on television. As of the writing of this review, 13 episodes have been aired and the remaining 6 are in limbo. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend that anyone seek out the episodes already available, since they stand on their own like other comedy show that were cancelled too soon in their time like Undeclared and Freaks and Geeks. You will be genuinely happy that you did so and, hopefully, someday in the near future, we will see the remaining episodes and some closure to this gem of a sitcom.

Not as bad as people say
3 August 2003
WHile this movie is not a masterpiece, it is a good piece of film. The only setback is J LO's performance. It is not directed badly and has some fine cameos from greats like Al Pacino and Christopher Walken. This is a fine movie and does not deserve all of the criticism that it is getting.

The best film of the year!
16 February 2003
An outstanding mix disturbance and grace. Michael Caine should be handed the Oscar already, his nominated performance is the best in his career. Brendan Fraiser also gives an emotional powerhouse performance. This film surely deserved to be nominated for best picture but was not because not enough of the academy had seen it. See the little seen haunting masterpiece!

Great fun
29 July 2002
If you want to take your family to a movie, this should be on your list. It keeps the children entertained as well as the adults. I hope they make a sequel for they can make quite a good franchise out of it. I would definately see this movie with my family, if you don't see Lilo and Stitch.

A true Disney classic
21 June 2002
Yet Lilo and Stitch is different than other disney movies, it ranks with the best. The movie was very touching and made me very happy. I won't tell you much about this instant classic because it will ruin the movie for you. All I can say is see this work of art, it is the rebirth of Disney Animation.

the Saga Strikes Back
16 May 2002
I went to the premiere of Episode 2 and all I have to say is, Wow! This Is one of the best Star Wars movies and is not too light-hearted. So many images are flying towards you. I love Arena. You find out the origins of Boba Fett and, in some cases, how Anakin turns to the dark side. Be ready for the best of the movie when Yoda has a little surprise. the trade Federation is back and much cooler than in the Phantom Menace. I love the insect dudes. All of Camino is great. Finding ou t the origens of the Storm Troopers is a pleasure and Christopher Lee plays a great villain. It is fun to unravel the building of the Death Star. jango Fett is almost as good as Boba. Mace Windu kicks butt. Get ready for the Clone Wars have begun.

So far this has been the best comedy of 2002 and definately the funniest. Tim Allen, Patrick Warburton, Tom Seizmore, and Stanley Tucci were all hilarious in this movie. Rene Russo also did an excellent job. This movie ranks up with the classics. A must see for all comedy fans.

This movie was great. Patrick Warburton is going to stardom. This is some of Jim Belushi's best work. One of the best comedies of the year. Tim Allen is very very very funny. I think that this should have been nominated for best comedy in the Golden Globes. See this movie.

The best movie of the year. I laughed so hard I fell out of my seat. The voices are perfectly cast. An instant Disney classic. This is going to be the most successful movie of the year. One last thing, Monsters Inc. rules and Shrek drools.
