I am obsessed with Final Fantasy VII. I bought the PC and PS version just because!!! When I bought the movie I thought yes!!! now all my friends that will never play the game could experience the awesome story line of FF7!!!! WRONG!!!!!! This movie is incredibly confusing and there is no way you could explain the whole thing to someone that has not played the game. Therefore, this game is useless to anyone that has not played the game. And my girlfriend really really tried to understand it, she sat through the whole thing while I attempted to explain the background story too her. The movie has flashbacks and an intro but it leaves SOO MUCH out it's pathetic.
Now... About the graphics, the lip syncing is terrible, sometimes characters don't even move they're mouths when they say something!!!!! Also the overall graphics and movements like when the little girl holds her hands up are pitiful compared to say the first Final Fantasy movie. They did NOT put a lot of work into the animation... not as much as they would for a feature they would expect to put into theaters anyways. ....
Now.. With all of this said... IF you are a crazy FF7 fan like me GET THIS MOVIE!!! Even though it has so many bad points you will still love finally getting to see some decent animation depicting your favorite characters beating the crap out of the bad guys....
