The Handmaid's Tale: The Crossing (2021)
I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT
These 3 episodes (this in particular) just proves to me why I love this show and have been missing it for so long. I am actually speechless. They really do not hold back in this episode at all. I just didn't see it coming oh my god. I'm sat here crying rn. All I can say is well done to this incredible cast and Elizabeth Olsen for her directorial debut. She knocked it out of the park. This actually might be one of, if not the, favourite episodes of mine. Like wow.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: One World, One People (2021)
I'm sorry but are you all ok??
I don't know what half of you are on because this episode was amazing. The action, the character development and the poignant themes all came to the forefront and was executed perfectly. So much for the mcu future has been set up with zemo in the raft, comic accurate costume for us agent etc. Sams suit was honestly so good. I can only presume people have rated this episode so low because of the political issues and race involved which is beyond me as if you didn't like it you've watched the wrong show. The show was all about politics and race and it's needed. It felt very accurate and heartfelt and truly made me feel so emotional with the museum and Isaiah scene. I can only imagine the people annoyed about this are either afraid to tackle prevalent issues/choose to ignore them or haven't watched an mcu movie in their life. Every single cap film, age of ultron, black panther, iron man films all have the undertone of politics and deal with real world issues so why suddenly a problem now.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Whole World Is Watching (2021)
CHILLS
First of all, let's get my opinion out of the way, this episode was brilliant! Sebastian Stan's acting in the first 5 minute flashback to wakanda was so heartbreaking and a true demonstration of his character development. Loved seeing the Dora Milaje in action again it was perfect; the fight scene with them against John Walker was sooo good. Anthony Mackie hits it out of the park with his acting performance once again with his interactions with karli. Speaking of the flagsmashers, they got a lot more depth and became very interesting villains in this episode and sets up a moral dilemma for all the characters. Zemo once again was a scene-stealer and Sharon is looking more suspicious than ever. Now to the most important part, John Walker. It was inevitable but shocking nonetheless. The cinematography of the blood sprayed across the shield with the whole town watching and recording was such a chilling ending. He has really gone completely power-crazy and become the US Agent synonymous with the comics. The Episodes just continue to outdo themselves as the series goes along setting up for what is sure to be a mesmerising final two episodes. AHHH that was just so good!
WandaVision: The Series Finale (2021)
INTENSE AND BEAUTIFUL
Just wow. This finale had everything any fan of this show and of marvel could ever want. From the breathtaking visuals and chaotic fights to the poignant and sad ending where wanda has to depart from her loved ones once again. The amount of greatness was too much to describe in all honesty! I don't think I have seen a series finale to that standard in a VERY long time. It wrapped all the events in west view cleanly while also setting up future movies (multiverse is coming!!). The whole show was about dealing with grief and overcoming it and this finale definitely served. ALSO: just wanna say I literally jumped and cheered out of my seat with the costume reveal. Doesn't she just look amazing in it
WandaVision: Previously On (2021)
WOW
Just finished the episode and i am speechless. The opening scene was incredible offering a glimpse into Agatha's powers and the whole episode takes a step back into how everything happened to be. Can I just say that Elizabeth Olsen deserves every acting award for this performance. It was just incredible seeing her emotional breakdown and finally become the "Scarlett witch". It truly was heartbreaking and mesmerising the entire time with the ending and post credits scene paving the way for what is sure to be a mind-blowing finale of such a great show.
WandaVision: Breaking the Fourth Wall (2021)
GAME-CHANGER
Wow what an episode that was! First of all the sitcom tropes of 'modern family' were used perfectly in this episode! It was probably the funniest yet with some of the most relatable and best lines the show has seen. "Actually I did bite a kid once" being a highlight. Loved seeing Monica's new photon powers and seeing the reality slowly crumble. AND THAT ENDING?! We knew it was coming but it still had me gripped and shocked. JUSTICE FOR SPARKY :(
