Unfrosted (2024)
It Had Potential
I had really high hopes for this movie. It was creative, especially the characters from classic cereals meeting. Millions in the M. E. are losing their homes and children while we review movies in the West. It doesn't seem fair. There was some great talent, like Hugh Grant as Tony the Tiger with a dramatic and narcissistic flair. Amy Schumer is someone I can no longer support. She was also in the movie. I hope everyone will pay attention to world affairs and use their platform for good. Unfrosted was a decent movie, good for a family night but don't think too deep on it. Rivers to seas. I recommend this movie to feel good and not think.
Nope (2022)
Nope is a YAS
Strong plot, great cast, and unique take on the alien trope. It was a decent 2 hours long and leaves you wanting more. It does switch between a few storylines which don't appear to tie together until you take a step back and reflect. Jordan Peele is a talented treasure and I hope he continues his journey in film.
The Manor (2021)
Surprisingly Decent
All things considered, I really enjoyed this movie.
Smart characters, inviting dialogue, unexpected twists. There are a few campy, eye-rolling moments but overall I would recommend it.
Epstein's Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell (2021)
Glorifying a Criminal
Surprised to see this prompted on my streaming service. This did not seem like a true documentary and felt more like a media puff piece.
For example, the first episode emphasizes the strained relationship she had with her dad growing up, leading Maxwell to seek relief in Epstein. No mention of how common this is with female convicts.
Alligator tears and a giant waste of time.
Claws (2017)
Cult favorite!
It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's refreshingly brilliant.
Niecy Nash leads a cast of remarkable talent -- addressing over the top storylines that redefine the "dramedy" category. Everything from the outfits to the character development is creative and genuine. Thank you TNT for giving this show a chance.
