Shanghai Noon (2000)
HILARIOUS & ACTION PACKED!
31 May 2000
I loved this movie. It had me laughing so hard. I reccomend it to everyone. Jackie Chan was awesome as usual & Owen Wilson was great! He was so cute and funny throughout the whole film. The whole plot and connection of westerns and martial arts movies was great. I loved it. It's a must-see. A great night at the movies.

Touching, Funny, Awesome movie!
1 May 2000
This movie was great. I am a white 16 yr. old girl that doesn't even like basketball and this is one of my favorite new movies. Even though I don't like basketball, I could really relate to the themes and situations in this film. It addressed romantic issues that really hit home and expressed situations between parents and their children that I'm sure many can identify with.

Sanaa and Omar were wonderful. I was feeling their performances. They really proved their amazing acting skills in this film. I can't wait to see them in more movies in the future. Great onscreen chemistry.

And you can't deny that this movie was hilarious. It's great to have a tear-jerker and a comedy in one. I loved it.

This movie was great all around. I recommend it to everyone. 2 thumbs up!

Down to You (2000)
Worst Movie I have ever seen!
30 January 2000
This is the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. It is supposed to be a Romance--yet I find myself annoyed w/ the characters and completely disinterested in their relationship. It is supposed to be a comedy--yet I find myself NOT laughing.

The previews were completely misleading. It looked like another fun teen romance comedy but it turned out to be a dark, pathetic druggie love story about 2 ppl w/ porn star friends. I wasted good money.

What was w/ Al's porno friends anyway? The characters were off the wall and I couldn't find any purpose to some of the aspects of this film. I HATED the aside stuff (talking directly to the camera)...as if the movie wasn't annoying enough already! I love Freddie Prinze Jr. and I love Julia Stiles. But the relationship they portrayed in this movie was the kookiest, stupidest, most annoying thing I have ever seen. I pity the actors in this film, everyone that went to see it, and all the poor ignorant souls who are going to see it expecting a good film. I praise the moviemakers for somehow tricking the general public into spending their hard-earned money on such a terrible film and getting away w/ it. Those guys must be geniuses. It's so sad that this movie came out as Number One this week when such quality films as THE HURRICANE, THE GREEN MILE, TOY STORY 2, and THE CIDER HOUSE RULES are just down the all from DOWN TO YOU. Don't waste your money ppl!

Tarzan (1999)
A classic tear-jerking animated masterpiece
30 January 2000
I loved TARZAN. It is right up there with THE LITTLE MERMAID for me.

This movie will help children and adults to learn to accept people's differences and express unconditional love. It is an especially good see for mothers and their children, however I recommend it to everyone. It combines wonderful storyline, superb animation, EXCELLENT soundtrack (I bought it w/in days of seeing the film), and is an overall feel-good movie.

Disney always seems to keep me satisfied w/ their string of wonderful animated pictures, but every now and then they come out w/ a tale that pulls me in and keeps me there. TARZAN is an instant classic.

Fun, stupid, eye candy...
30 January 2000
This movie served its purpose. It was incredibly ridiculous, fun to watch, and had Paul Walker shirtless in it. It is obviously a movie targeted at 5th graders, but die-hard Paul fans won't be disappointed. I hate to be a typical teenage girl about this, but who wouldn't want to see a movie w/ Paul Walker shirtless? This movie by no means stresses his acting ability, but he looks great. Warning: Some scenes involving AJ Langer will make you want to hurl. But of course, that is what the fast-forward button is for.

I recommend it for Paul Walker fans and immature people.
