Exciting, Skeet's ultimate performance
4 March 2001
This movie was great and the movie portrayed Kevin Mitnick in a fair manner. He had some valid arguments for what he did and Skeet did a wonderful job of showing his emotions and obsessions. If you are obsessed with the internet and computers, don't miss this one!

Beowulf (1999)

Intense, enthralling, Christopher Lambert is Beowulf!
17 July 2000
After waiting so long to see this movie, which has still not been released in the US, I was not disappointed. The special effects were terrific, the characters totally believable and each given adequate attention by the director. Easy to follow - if you don't see this movie because the story is so difficult to read, throw the story out and get this movie. As usual, Christopher's performance is stunning and the black leather fits him like a glove. I don't know why this movie it isn't running on the SciFi Channel right now. The perfect film for this channel, and the scifi community would devour it. A+!

In the Company of Spies (1999 TV Movie)
10/10
Fast paced action with Berenger's usual charming military style
30 November 1999
In the Company of Spies is a fast paced film that starts off with action as a CIA agent is picked up by Korean officials for questioning. While he is held, and not treated kindly, we watch on the other side of the world as tried and true actor Tom Berenger's character is brought from retirement by his former associate, played by Ron Silver. Tim Matheson did a great job directing this one. Most impressive in this film is Clancy Brown, who portrayed the very much distressed English gentleman under possible deadly pressure. As one who associates Clancy with Kurgan in the first Highlander movie (and sadly relieved Sean Connery of his head), I was pleasantly surprised at the depth and power of his character in this movie. Here's hoping to see this cast back for more!

Gideon (1998)

Gideon Dobbs has a magical ability to bring forth the seemingly lost desire for life in those around him.
23 October 1999
What do you get when you put a cast of legendary actors together with one of the most talented actors who's movies are generally hard to find in the United States? Christopher Lambert portrays Gideon Dobbs, a simple man, who touches others out of genuine love for them - maybe without even knowing he's doing it - or maybe because of that genuine love he has for them. He puts their needs before his own and brings them back to the life they thought was long lost.

His small acts of kindness may seem trivial, but the impact of those acts change people's lives forever, and bring joy where joy was no more.

Charlton Heston, Carroll O'Connor, Shelley Winters, Shirley Jones - all of the cast in this movie bring the humor and emotion that we so crave and miss in today's movie productions. Brad Mirman's writing is excellent and his scripts should be watched closely in the future. Claudia Hoover's direction is high quality.

Don't miss this movie. The world desperately needs more of the same.

Long Awaited One Man's Hero Not a Disappointment!
30 September 1999
After waiting more than two years to see One Man's Hero, I was not disappointed last week when it was released in Los Angeles. This generally ignored event in our country's history was portrayed with powerful performances by the cast. From beginning to end I watched each scene and easily followed the story of the San Patricios. I came away from the movie saddened by what happened to this group of young men, and firmly believe that this country needs more movies that give us this kind of insight into our past, and let us judge for ourselves how we feel about that past. Praise to those who have the courage to make these movies in spite of Hollywood's constant production of the quick buck movies we see released each week.

Tom Berenger's character is totally believable.
9 February 1999
Tom Berenger really loves to surprise his audience, and in Shadow of Doubt, he once again has led us to believe he's the "still in love" DA with his former wife and attorney, Melanie Griffith. He comes across as a solid citizen and promoter of justice. Nevertheless, he underestimates Melanie's abilities as an attorney, and takes for granted that her feelings for him would protect him. It was wonderful to see Huey Lewis in this movie, and we can only hope to see more of him in the future.
