Love this movie. Someone said it's boring. Really? But I enjoy it very much. The main theme is the relationship between father and sons. And life need to be keep exploring, either as a father, Chef or an old man. When you know more about the world, you will get confused more. Why not keep travelling?
Sweet movie with heartwarming jokes. Relax and visit French nature and South Korea culture and beautiful cherry blossoms.
You will know Incheon International Airport like your home yard after watching this.
It's just different type of movie. We should all respect each other's personal space!
I've always been a huge fan of Alain Chabat, as an actor, a director and a human being. And this movie doesn't change that. He's so talented and so nice, he's been a positive person during all my life since I discovered La Cité de la Peur or Didier. A bit like a French Robin Williams or Bill Murray if I may.
This movie is really good at some point and not that great at some other moments. The first part of the "second act" is the only thing that I really really liked. I could name it "The Waiting", it's funny and beautiful and the idea was awesome. Even the photography is better at this moment of the movie. Can't really tell why !
However, the first and third acts was not so good to me, especially the very end of the movie. I was waiting for more but it ended just like this...
You will probably have Lost In Translition in mind when you start to watch the movie but it's not as good, even if there's a real effort here and once again Alain Chabat is amazing.
About Bae Doona, she's almost like a dream and she doesn't have a lot of lines of dialogue but it's always a pleasure to see her.
Anyway, you should probably watch it and make your own idea. As I said, there is some good in this movie and it's worth watching it.
Starts OK. Typical french movie: food, family, smokes, party, unfaithfulness. Then he goes to South Korea. The second act - in the airport - is absurdly long, almost unbearable. Is it supposed to be funny, smart, an artsy statement of sorts? I don't know. Then his kids visit him, and it is long, painfully long. They eat, walk, talk, I could not care less, nothing happens! I stopped the movie 10 minutes before the end, I went to sleep. The only thing I liked was the disillusionment of his love interest: that was realistic.

- TriviaIn the role of the mother of Stéphane's children, the director called on director Delphine Gleize. This is her first acting experience. Éric Lartigau explains this choice: "I like this character with whom Stéphane has kept an accomplice relationship despite their divorce. I wanted someone generous, with a beautiful look once again without judgment. Delphine exudes something very soft, loving and sensual. She also has a lot of character and she is a good friend of mine".
