Did You Know?

Linda Lee/Snowbird notices an AmerTek pin on a patron. In DC Comics, AmerTek Industries is a military industrial firm that employed engineer Dr. John Henry Irons. Irons is the engineer that developed the BG-60, a powerful man-portable energy cannon, which is sold to urban arms dealers by AmerTek. When Irons learns that his invention has been used for evil purposes, he destroys the blueprints, quits AmerTek, and starts his own business, Iron Works. At Iron Works, Irons designs and builds a prototype of the armor that will eventually become the "Steel" armor. AmerTek spies steal the blueprints and use them to create their own knockoffs. In their actions, they purposefully target civilians, namely John's family. See more »

When Snowbird arrives at the demolished cabin, supposedly seconds after hearing the explosion, the timbers are already blackened and smoldering, which would only happen after hours of combustion. See more »

Eve Teschmacher: Wow. Nice prison you got here.
Lex Luthor: It's for conjugal visits. But still, after this, it's back to concrete and iron.
Eve Teschmacher: Sounds lonely.
Lex Luthor: Stryker's is a petri dish. Bottle city. I've even managed to teach some of the inmates chess. I like mentoring.
Eve Teschmacher: It's a waste. You're a once-in-a-generation mind, and the only man standing between us and total annihilation.

A Review from someone who dislikes this show.
28 March 2019 | by EddyTheMartian007See all my reviews

I'm gonna be honest. I don't like this show at all, I think it's mediocre at best, and pretty bad for the most part, but suddenly we've been getting some pretty solid episodes this season. Now the 8/10 doesn't mean this episode on its own is an great. I mean for Supergirl standards it's a 8/10. On its own it's okay I guess, but this is seriously one of Supergirl's best episodes.

I didn't think Cyryer could pull it off, but he actually gives a pretty good performance as Lex Luthor. I'm surprised the writers actually let an episode like this happen. We don't even get any of the main cast this episode. Only for about a minute in the beginning and ends of the episode. That's probably why I liked it this much.

Lex is actually one of the better written chracters on Supergirl. I appreciate how they actually seemed to have tried. He's manipulative, and has this big silly plan, but it shows how smart he is, and he's one of the more accurate interpretations of Lex Luthor.

I also enjoyed the build up of the Daughter of Steel. Most of the times Supergirl barely develops their villains, but they developed her pretty well. Melissa Beonist does a pretty good job as this Russian version of Supergirl, but I feel like she should've shown a bigger difference when the Russian Supergirl tries to act like the normal supergirl.

Anyways for once I actually enjoyed and episode of Supergirl, which was nice. Supergirl finally seems to be improving.
