Wheatus: Teenage Dirtbag

Those freaking repetitive yet cute Airbnb ads on YouTube brought me to this song and video, even though I had seen Jason Biggs vehicle "Loser" (of which is part of the soundtrack) way back in time - don't remember it at all, but it was okay.

Wheatus music video uses clips of the film but places the college settings of the story as if being a high school scenario which fits with the lyrics. Unusual way of composition (film and music) but it works with the typical character who doesn't fit as he tries to conquer the prettiest girl in school. And there's the band performance with the leading singer hitting amazing notes with his unique voice, as he sounds younger than he actually is (it feels like it's a teen singing).

Well, the high energy of an early 2000's pop/rock song was really cool, nostalgic and very colorful, something that's being missed these days. 8/10.
