MINU tells the story of Payam, a man who is battling depression while at the same time struggling to write the sequel to his acclaimed first book. He escapes into the wilderness in an attempt to clear his writer's block while also trying to deal with the recent split from the love of his love. One day he sees a woman in a blue dress and he can't escape the feeling that he's seen her before. He finds himself wandering around the woods looking for her, not knowing what lies ahead. MINU is a surreal drama that explore the human psyche through symbolism and intense acting. MINU is written and directed by Martin Öhman, a filmmaker, musician and artist based in Sweden. With the ambition to create a vivid and organic experience, Öhman deliberately used improvisation and intuition as a main tool throughout the filming and editing process. The result is a movie that invites the viewer to be a part of the journey and create their own interpretation.
