Trivia

The actress portraying Ricki Dacre speaks with an over the top affected American English accent that betrays the fact she is not a natural American English speaker, but likely has a natural British accent. See more »

Goofs

The murder is committed with a revolver silenced with a book in front of the muzzle. A revolver cannot be sufficiently muffled like that. See more »

Episode 8.4
6 February 2019 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

A family is tearing itself apart as Benedict Dacre plans to sell the family coffee plantation. It has been a household name in the caribbean. He also is not willing to look after some of his staff. No pension or any kind of goodwill payment for loyal years of service.

Ciss Dacre, his sister is not happy about the decision. No surprise then that the coffee king is found dead with a shot in the back.

DI Jack Mooney who seems to have found an interest in crab racing much to the Commissioner's ire.

Benedict Dacre's new wife becomes an immediate suspect. She has a history as a golddigger. Ciss also becomes a suspect as she could not provide an immediate alibi.

A book without a bookmark is a puzzle that gets Mooney thinking.

It was a rather convoluted murder plot. Not very credible but entertaining nonetheless.
