Quotes

Stefan Butler: I've actually had a bit of breakthrough with the game. I think I'd got bogged down before, but now I can see.
Dr. Haynes: So you finally finished it?
Stefan Butler: Finished, delivered, everything. I'd been trying to give the player too much choice. So I just went back and stripped loads out. And now they've only got the illusion of free will, but really, I decide the ending.
Dr. Haynes: And is it a happy ending?
Stefan Butler: I think so.

Crazy Credits

In a few endings, once you finish the credits, a post-credits scene will play. Stefan would be seen on the same bus from the beginning, and plays a cassette called "BANDERSNATCH DEMO". The audio would just be some beeps and bleeps, but when translated using a ZX Spectrum Emulator, it gives you a QR code leading to the Tuckersoft website, found here: https://www.tuckersoft.net/ealing20541/ See more »

Alternate Versions

There is no single narrative or version. There are five different endings, each with multiple pathways to them. See more »

Is it really under your control?
28 December 2018 | by ahmetkozanSee all my reviews

Bandersnatch feels like something completely new. It was an awesome experience. You are the factor that can alter character's story for better or worse. Even the supporting characters are influenced by the decisions you make. There's a different end for everyone depending on your choices. Netflix says that there are 5 "main endings" with multiple variants of each. When you watch it again after watching, it makes you feel like you're watching a different movie. Netflix has found a way to make it a deeply personal experience. You feel responsible for the character's choices. It's really fun to have the options in the hands of the audience. And for a first attempt, Netflix succeeds. You should watch it. - I saw people who couldn't get the message the movie wanted to give. I recommend that they watch carefully. 9/10
