Torturous (in a good way)
4 September 2019 | by tamhewittbakerSee all my reviews

I cannot understand some of the reviews calling this dull or filler. Each episode tells us a little more about the characters without the need for unnatural exposition. I really liked how they used the ambient sounds and her narration giving a window to this struggle June is going through as well as some interesting information regarding the start of the shut down of civil rights with the internet. Weight is given to each line, made even more important being placed against this monotonous blank space. It also provides the character Janine room to grow and give more strength to the idea of the sisterhood. Mature, well written and acted scenes that have wonderful dialogue.
