In the pursuit of any severe weather condition, regardless to reason, storm chasers witness Mother Nature's most extreme power. Season of The Storm, is a docu-web series that follows three professional storm chasers; starring Adam Lucio, Stephen Jones, and Alec Scholten. Follow them as they put themselves in danger, just to witness the unrelenting force of Mother Nature. When many flee, they rush to the scene. Regardless of motive, which can be adventure, thrill, or scientific exploration.

MYTH: Tornadoes won't hit downtown because the tall buildings break up the circulation.

FALSE: The reason tornadoes (seemingly) don't hit downtowns is that downtown areas generally occupy very small spaces of land.

There have been numerous documented cases of tornadoes striking downtown areas. A few of them are listed below on this image provided by the NWS office in Chicago. Take a look at the case of Salt Lake City, not only was that a downtown impact, but that is a city located in the mountains next to a big lake, which are two other myths that we sometimes tell ourselves protect us from tornadoes.
