-In the summer of 2009, first responders Mario and Henri Dubé received a call from an outfitter near Manawan. A fisherman had his hand cut off by his boat's motor and they must quickly transport him to Saint-Michel-des-Saints, (in Quebec, Canada). The man suffers enormously and has lost a great deal of blood. Despite the patient's anger, the Dubé brothers acted like true professionals.

He will have to lift her at arm's length and place her on the ladder to save her life.

-In May 2014, a fire broke out in Manawan. Firefighter Stephano Moar is on scene with police officer Mario Dubé. A crying teenager claims that her father is in the house, from which thick smoke escapes. After several attempts, the two men found the unfortunate man, unconscious in his home, and managed to take him outside. He will be resuscitated during his transport to the hospital.

-Ambulance driver Dawn Montour must intervene quickly with a child who is celebrating her first birthday. The celebration ended abruptly when the girl had an allergic reaction after eating cake. Her body is full of rashes and she has trouble breathing, but after Dawn's care, she will arrive at the hospital asleep deep in her father's arms.

-Manawan nurse Valère Dubé receives a woman at the clinic who believes she has a digestive disorder. However, the electrocardiogram shows that she has a heart attack. She must be quickly transferred to a hospital. When a CLSC doctor questioned Valère's diagnosis, he insisted that she suffered from a heart condition, saving her patient's life.

-While returning to Manawan with his wife, first responder Richard Dubé witnessed a serious traffic accident. In one of the vehicles are children, fortunately safe and sound, and a mother, trapped in the passenger compartment, unable to speak after the impact. Richard was able to free her and provide her with the necessary care until the paramedics arrived.
