Starting to deliver on a topnotch level

Warning: Spoilers
The addition of Zemo was great for this show, and again he shines. The wakandas were also amazing, I am very glad that they used them and about the way they used them. The episode had excellent conservations around what it means to take the super serum and about who is the really enemy of the world. The wrap up of that conversation in the form of new fake captain america lossing it and killing a person in the middle of the streets was very well done.

POWERFUL & DARK
imptsir9 April 2021
I have been pretty unsatisfied with TFATWS so far but trust me what i say this - the ending was right up there with Captain America : The Winter Soldier.

All that hate for Russell must stop asap, you see how well he has done with his version of Captain America. I think this episode has to be one of the darkest stuff we have received from MCU till date. I ended up sympathising with John Walker by the end of episode. Brilliant character development! John Walker and Dora Milaje stole this one for me and i am now superhyped for the rest two episodes.

Fantastic episode
prestonweb9 April 2021
The first three episodes seemed like a build up, not much really happened. At the beginning of this episode I thought it would be another one of those episodes but NO, some BIG things went down in the last 10 minutes and I loved every last second of it. Well done marvel.

Crazy Episode

Warning: Spoilers
The show's getting better and darker.

The first scene was really emotional and beautiful. But the last scene was just crazy. I like the alternation of John's behavior.

What an episode!

Simply Phenomenal

Warning: Spoilers
Sebastian Stan's acting in the Wakandan scene was amazing and I'm so glad we got to revisit his trauma and recovery from pre-Infinity War. But what really made this episode so amazing was the conclusion. Marvel is getting darker in this series and I'm all for it. The last scene actually gave me chills, seeing Walker with the bloody shield.

Winter Soldier vibes!
surajck49 April 2021
The best part about this series is the mix of characters. Karli, Sam, Zemo, Bucky, Ayo, each one unwavering in their stand. The audience is caught rooting for all of them at different points! And then there's the new Cap doing his thing!

This episode further deepens their differences. Really well balanced action and dialogues. Loved it.

Great beginning and strong ending - If only the screenplay of this show was better
Geekofriendly10 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Sebastian Stan delivered some of the finest MCU acting ever seen. I wish the writers added more sombre moments and past insights like this.

And the final shot of a bloody shield is instantly iconic. Great job!

But everything in between sadly remains too mediocre. While the production value is high, this definitely feels like a cheap TV version of the MCU. I find myself cringing at the dialogue every single episode, and while the plot has picked up the pace, the entire story is just plain stretched out.

For the final nail in the coffin, even the action scenes can be on the lazy side.

For the past 4 Fridays I've been tuning in and hoping to get my socks blown off. I will happily invest the remaining 100 minutes, but my socks will probably remain put.

Why is everyone acting surprised when Battlestar get's killed?! They attack them with knives, what did they expect. Why do they stop fighting after killing him? It doesn't make any sense.

I hated it

Warning: Spoilers
I don't even know where to begin, why is zemo disappearing like a pink panther all the time? Is this all a joke? And how experienced soldier, the new cap doesn't have enough nerve to not overstress during a mission. What was that with a pat on the shoulder, is he really that stupid? Who does that, and that whole fight in the room, childish, they all seem to be going for a kill, then hold back, then act like it's all fine. I don't understand, what a rush of events. Zemo was useful because he came up with the idea to exchange candies with a child for an information? Is that supposed to make the whole break out plan acceptable? Not a single plan went right, it was with sheer luck they survived. And ending was expected from the beggining, but am I missing something? Didn't Steve Rogers used to kill during missions? Just google Captain America kill coint. These people are terrorist, there is no other word for them, why is Sam having a friendly chat? Why is he so optimistic about her, she is a threat, she blew up innocent people, she doesn't see murder as a problem, how does Sam see a way out, she's not Bucky, Bucky was brainwashed into senseless murder, she is woke. New Cap was in army for years, how come he just freaks out when his partner dies? Isn't that always the risk? And how are they so sure about themselvs whenever they go to fight supersoldiers? Why are they operating solo, just put snipers on the roof, use trackers, get inside intel, was the black widow the only double agent in this universe? Why is the script so dumb? Okay I'm done. I just feel like they've been given checkmarks, where they start and where they should end it, no clear road in between, so it's all rushed.

Great episode
harry-345189 April 2021
This episode of FATWS is really really strong and the best one yet, from start to finish it is very entertaining and the writing, story and acting is really good. This episode is very much in caps shadow and the flag smashers and John Walker take centre stage (I don't know how but they made him even more unlikeable). Bucky and Sam have alot to do and Zemo is a great addition to the trio always being several steps ahead.

Bucky and Sam- Bucky gets a little bit of extra backstory and in said scene the acting is great. The characters journey through the show is one that I have loved watching and I cannot wait to see where it goes next. Sam, has some great scenes with several characters that are extremely well written. Slowly, in the episode, it begins to seem that Sam's view on the matter is not black and white.

Zemo- is also really strong with great acting and he has some amazing moments.

The flag smashers- This is the first time I have felt the flag smashers are an actual threat to the heroes and their intentions make them an even more complex villain.

The mystery- This episode still builds on episode 3's mystery of the super-soldier serum and characters intentions. Sharon Carter returns again in this episode and her intentions are still to be known and this episode we see some groundwork for her in the following episodes.

Overall this episode is the strongest yet and I cant wait to see where this show goes next.

Oh my god you people suck, don't rate if you haven't seen the whole episode and not even writing a review... edit: i just watched it and OH MY GOD what the hell, i definitely did not expect this:ooo john walker is really a not so nice dude after all. All in all, maybe not a better episode than the last one, but definitely more shocking and interesting. Can't wait for the last two eps.

The Best Marvel Content Since Daredevil
maxglen9 April 2021
I do not say that lightly... I love Marvel, I'm a big comics nerd and I've enjoyed almost everything the MCU has put out over the past decade but this episode is on another level. The first three episodes were good, maybe even very good, but this? No contest. I'm dying for the final two episodes. A decent 9 to a 10 for me. I love how they are doing US Agent. The ending was insane.

CHILLS
Ben-920159 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, let's get my opinion out of the way, this episode was brilliant! Sebastian Stan's acting in the first 5 minute flashback to wakanda was so heartbreaking and a true demonstration of his character development. Loved seeing the Dora Milaje in action again it was perfect; the fight scene with them against John Walker was sooo good. Anthony Mackie hits it out of the park with his acting performance once again with his interactions with karli. Speaking of the flagsmashers, they got a lot more depth and became very interesting villains in this episode and sets up a moral dilemma for all the characters. Zemo once again was a scene-stealer and Sharon is looking more suspicious than ever. Now to the most important part, John Walker. It was inevitable but shocking nonetheless. The cinematography of the blood sprayed across the shield with the whole town watching and recording was such a chilling ending. He has really gone completely power-crazy and become the US Agent synonymous with the comics. The Episodes just continue to outdo themselves as the series goes along setting up for what is sure to be a mesmerising final two episodes. AHHH that was just so good!

I do love me some Dark Marvel.
wetmars10 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Oh. My. God. What an ending, he used the last fricking Super-Soldier Serum. But anyway, this is now my favorite episode so far. I wonder how Steve would have reacted to that. Holy hell. I thought he decapitated the dude. Action-packed, I bloody love the action so much. Bucky is doing amazing! Karli is getting some good character development. I was worried about her character's treatment. But thank you. It is sure going to get dark since Marvel said that this is mature, brutal. I loved the conversation between Sam and Kali. It was touching. I do appreciate how they are going with John Walker, but he's an azzhole. As for Zemo, he knows what he is doing, a criminal mastermind to bring down the Winter Soldier program again. Interesting flashback of Bucky in Wakanda. I am glad that they used Wakanda as a sub-plot. I love it. It makes sense why this episode is called "The Whole World is Watching" due to the last scene. What a banger. The plot was easy to follow. Speaking about Zemo, I like how he searched out the information about where the funeral is. Giving kids candy! So surprising that the Wakandans have the capability to disable Bucky's vibranium arm. I felt bad for Battlestar. He was a decent character, though. He was doing what he thought was the right thing for his country, America.

I want to talk about the action here. The scene where John Walker was fighting with the Wakandans was so awesome and, Zemo was like, I'm out of here, lol. Especially the other scene where Sam, Bucky, and John were combating the Flag Smashers. That moment when Bucky caught the knife, wow. I am enjoying this!

10/10.

Sebastian Stan deserves all the awards for that starting 'Wakanda' segment.
ritwikadatta9 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This series is getting better with every single episode. Episode 04 was so well written. And every single character stepped up their game. Absolutely loving this series now, although the first two episodes were a bit of a let down. But Ep 03 and 04 were absolutely amazing. Looking forward to the last two!! And wish there were more!

But most importantly, I'm so glad that Sebastian Stan is finally getting a chance to showcase his acting skill with this series. Every single episode highlights how incredible an actor he is. The starting Wakanda segment in Episode 04 has to be the best acted scene in all of MCU! That scene totally broke my heart and brought me to tears.

can't tell if it's good or bad
jack_pearson9 April 2021
I enjoy the episodes, feels a lot like eye candy because the actions scenes are dope asl but goddamn the writing is terrible, that cool shock value ending doesn't save the writing. How is bucky struggling every episode against normal ass people who just happen to have the serum in them... my mans was a soldier then trained into a super assassin but can't handle some regular people....and sam ?! Completely different character than he was portrayed as before in the movies.

probably an unpopular opinion: cliche
smithdynamic4215 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Falcon: I need to talk to the "seemingly bad" kid because I think they are savable.

Walker: I am destined to be an evil Cap, I will need four episodes to accomplish this simple character arc.

Lemar: The nice Black character always dies/injuries first.

Dora: Let's fight with this new Cap after short conversation and forget about Zemo Flag smasher: I bomb, I kill but I am the good ones.

What's the justification for Walker NOT being mad? (I am not trying to say that he is entitled to act like that or even to be the Cap). His battle buddy might just got killed by a supe. Tony was mad and really tried to kill Bucky after he knew Bucky killed his parents even though he was under Hydra's control. We know no one replaces Steve Rogers as Cap America but Walker's arc of being the villain is just way to cliche and forced.

FINALLY
spideysense219 April 2021
This episode was brilliant. The slow paced build up leading to a dark ending. Wyatt Russell's acting needs recognition as well - such a great performance as John Walker. The episode was more subtle with their political references which I feel has a better impact.
