In one of the world's biggest financial crimes known as the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal (or 1MDB scandal), 3.5 billion dollars were stolen from a Malaysian government fund. Investigative reporters from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Hollywood Reporter follow the money as it travels across the globe, financing everything from luxury real estate and decadent parties to Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. Capturing white-collar crime at its greedy best, The Kleptocrats is tale of embezzlement, scams and greed run amok.Written by
The Wolf of Wall Street was truly fascinating, Personally it felt like an 8/10 thanks to Leo DiCaprio's top notch acting.
On the other hand after watching this, this felt like the continuation of that movie. The film production was not particularly amazing, but the story and the perspective of truth brought to the watches' attention cannot be denied.
If you are Malaysian (or Filipino), it will surely make an impact since there is a reincarnation of another Imelda..
Recommended to watch only if you know what "EDSA" means.
